Love it
If you have worked with nail decals you would have no problems. They are just larger nail decals.

Worked where other products did not
Received this yesterday and put it to use immediately. I have a couple of 1996 watercraft that I am reconditioning. I had tried several other methods of removing old damaged or faded decals. From plastic razor blades to plastic scrappers, Xylene, Goof Off, etc but did not have any success with them. So I watched a video on this product and it got fairly decent reviews so I thought why not. Over all this product saved me time and effort and did the job that the other methods were unable to. Pros: - Item does do what it says - Easily attach to any power drill - Actually works on hard to remove decals - Easy to use Cons: - While it may not take as much effort in every situation. It took considerable elbow grease to remove these 20+ year old decals Of course, with that said, nothing else would. So its not necessarily a Con ... as it is a warning that it may take some effort on your part - The wheel only lasted for half of my project Granted that most jobs are not going to be 20+ year old decals. Each of my watercraft have 4 decals that I wanted to remove (Total of 8). I was able to take off 4 decals and I have 4 left. While there is a little bit of working wheel left on this product. There is not enough to complete the removal project. At the price of roughly 22 dollars, that means it cost me a little over 5 dollars per decal. However, it did save time and effort however. So I may have to suck it up and buy another one to finish. As I had never used this item before I was not sure what to expect regarding effectiveness or cleanup. This product spews wheel and decal dust and particles all over. So make sure you work in an area that you can clean up. Also I would recommend using eye protection and at least a disposable or better mask. I am very satisfied with this item and would buy it again if I needed to.

Expensive, doesn't last long - but THE ONLY ONE THAT DIDN'T BURN MY CLEARCOAT
I decided to try the Whizzy Wheel to remove a seventeen year old Tampa Bay decal on a 2002 BMW 530i I recently purchased. When the Whizzy Wheel removed the decal without any problems, I decided to try it on a paint scuff which was next on my list. I had applied rubbing compound without much success. So I decided to try the Whizzy Wheel on the paint scuff, using the same back and forth motion as stated in the instructions. It worked!! I know the Whizzy Wheel was designed to remove decals, but I had to share my results!! I will be ordering another Whizzy Wheel for future projects!

Worked where other products did not
Greetings! I can describe the Whizzy Wheel in three words. Awsume, Awsume, Awsume! Working for an emergency vehicle upfitter (police cars, etc.) every new car we build, requires decommissioning the old. So there's plenty of decals to say the least! Up till now, I pretty much have been using the heat gun, adhesive remover technique. Successful for the most part, but LOTS of elbow grease, LOTS of time, LOTS of rags. So on a recent car, the decals were the reflective kind. (5 years on the car too) For those of you that have ever tried removing this type of decal, you know that a root canal is more fun than this. So after about an hour of trying, and getting absolutely nowhere, and I mean nowhere, off I went to find a better (easier) solution. That's when I came across the WW. After watching a few videos on the process, I figured this seems to be my best option at this point...so let's give it a try. And right now, I'll try anything! As mentioned, the WW needs 2k to 4k rpms to work properly. Surprisingly, with all the drill motors around the shop, we didn't have one to fit that bill. So I grabbed the fastest one we had (850 rpms) to no avail. A quick trip the hardware store, found a Porter-Cable 3/8" hand drill that maxed at 3k rpm, and cost $63.00. Works for me. At first I was a little skeptical, because the WW guide states that tho reflective decals are the hardest to remove, the WW can still handle the job, with a little extra effort. One thing I found out, is that the WW needs to go in the direction of the tread, I say tread, because the WW looks like small tire treads. When I first started using it, I was going in the wrong direction, with not much success at all. Bummer. Then after we figured it out, the WW ROCKED. (would be nice to have a direction arrow) So I got about a third of the car done, and I had used the WW past the tread, and was left with just the rubber wheel. Keep in mind this was reflector decal. The WW was working extra hard. Can't say how long they last normally. But I was happy! Went and ordered two more to finish the job. I then went on to another car, and removed the decals with the heat gun method, but the adhesive remained on the paint. I tried what was left on the used WW, and was able to removed ALL adhesive from the whole car! (a Ford Expedition) And still have enough rubber on the wheel to do another! BTW- when you get past the tread wear, and are just removing adhesive, it doesn't matter which direction the wheel is turning. WEAR A MASK...and eye protection. Whole lotta dust! If you're removing a lot of decal work, best to do it outside. You'll need to rinse the car off big time. Would I recommend the Whizzy Wheel? Oh hell yea!!!

Awesome addition to any toolbox!
I have a 6yo Mini Cooper Countryman with vinyl stripes on the hood (bonnet) that were factory installed. After 6yrs on the New England coast they were cracked, faded and very tired looking. I started by attempting to simply peel them off without any success. Then moved on to my wife's blow dryer and eventually a heat gun with a plastic putty knife. The work was time consuming and I worried about damaging the paint and scratches from the knife. Poking around the internet for better options I came across the Whizzy Wheel. I attached it to a battery powered drill and in the 10 minutes or so that the battery lasted I had 90% of one of the larger stripes removed. It was fast, it caused no damage to the paint and it was fun. Yesterday with 2 fully charged batteries I completed almost all of the remaining work before needing to stop and recharge. The work does seem to exhaust the batteries quickly (non stop running) so if I was less lazy, I could drag out the 1/2 inch corded drill and an extension cord, but this was easy, lighter and I was not in a rush. It does create a lot of dust as the wheel wears down, so I would recommend doing it outside but I whole heartedly recommend this product to anyone who needs to remove any sort of stripe/wrap from a vehicle. My wife came out to the driveway to ask me a question and couldn't believe how the good the car looks without the old stipes.

I pretty much have been using the heat gun
I halfway expected this product to be a gimmick, but I was pleased that it worked exactly as advertised. My only warning, which I didn't see in any of the FAQ's or instructions (could have missed it), is not to use it on painted plastic like the plastic trim under a door. I was removing a sun-baked vinyl stripe on the lower part of the doors of a 2006 Miata and the wheel brushed up against the painted plastic trim under the door and immediately took a small chunk out of the plastic. The solution was simply to remove the decal with the door open, and be extra careful in the area close to the hinges.

Not A Gimmick - It Really Works!
We had a few very tough old and difficult stickers on our boat. One had been stuck to a window for almost 25 years. Razor blade would take a minute or so and only one tiny piece at a time. The eraser wheel on my cordless drill was able to take it all off in a couple of minutes. This was my first time using one and it is really just a big, circular, sprocket shaped eraser. Being an eraser there is a fair amount of eraser dust but a quick vacuum fixes that. In another place we had about 20 years of registration stickers on the side of our boat. I wanted to start anew but a razor blade would likely damage the fiberglass. I put the easer wheel to it and it started chewing through the sticker until they were all gone. I also found that the wheel works best when combined with a plastic razor blade. The two together made short work of all the things we could fine to erase.

Time saver
I recently purchased a new car and at the time of purchase I thought nothing of if there was a dealer sticker on it or not. Turns out they put a sticker on it as well as a license plate frame. I removed the frame, and for some reason this sticker was bugging me and i decided I wanted to remove it. I did some googling, and found out about this product. I ordered it and it came the next day. I was still nervous to try it on my brand new vehicle, so I first tried it on my 10 yr old Hyundai. I cleaned it as instructed, and did end up using a cordless drill since that is all I own. Literally 1 minute later the sticker was gone from the Hyundai with no scratches and no sign that the sticker was ever there. I then felt more confident using it on my new vehicle, which I did. Same result and I am extremely happy. Finally a product that performs as advertised!

Did what a razor blade couldn’t
Bought this to remove adhesive residue on body side moulding. Saved me hours using this and it didn’t damage the vehicle surface. Makes quite a dust mess to use but definitely gets the job done so I’ll sacrifice the mess for time saved. The adhesive was old and hard and this device removed it flawlessly. I’ve used solvents previously together with plastic scraper and it took forever and created a sloppy mess. This took about 30 minutes for a complete removal of the adhesive on one door. One device will probably last about 2-3 doors before needing replacement.

Does an excellent job with no damage!
This wheel worked as described. I have a 2003 VW Rialta and the decals were beginning to peel badly. This was the perfect tool to use to remove them. I did find that it worked much quicker when the sun had warmed the body up some. I did it in February, on a cold day in the high Nevada desert. Ambient temp was probably 45 degrees F, but the sun warmed things up to about 85 on the paint. This allowed the decals to peel off easier than using a blow dryer (the day before). I did lay out a canvas tarp on the ground prior to beginning so it would be easier to clean up. I purchased 2 of these (just in case), but am sending one back because one was all that I needed. But if you have a greater amount of decals, you may need a second one. The one that I used was almost down to the mark that says "STOP USE LINE". GREAT PRODUCT.

Worked where other products did not
I used one of these on a toolbox I bought that had allot of stickers on it. This wheel worked wonders getting off the stickers! Highly recommend but I personally do not think it wears out took quickly. I bought 2 because I read it wears quickly but didn’t even use half of one. Worth its weight in gold for removing stickers It does leave a mess to clean up but I didn’t think very bad at all and I’ll take it all day. Rather sweep up the shavings than trying to heat and scrape stickers.

Expensive, doesn't last long - but THE ONLY ONE THAT DIDN'T BURN MY CLEARCOAT
I will start by saying that my intention was to use this for something it was not intended for. I got the idea to try this for removing silicone from my bath tub. I didn't think it would work, but thought I'd give it a try. I started by taking most of the silicone off, but didn't really want to use a razor too much on the fiberglass. This tool did remove some of the silicone, but not all of it. It sort of left some yellow coloring on the white fiberglass that I could not wipe off, even with Goof Off. I don't want to ding the tool, because I used it for something it was not intended for. I will say, it is very thick and well built. I would expect it too last a long time and work well for it's intended purpose.

Wow what a time saver!!
Just ordered this a few days ago it showed up late yesterday so I gave it a try this afternoon and it was amazing how fast it buffed my old Vinyl decals Off my old truck they were sun baked on I had tried a scraper tool it did nothing I tried 3 AM vinyl sign remover spray it did nothing I try to hot air gun with minimal results So I gave this wheel a try today at it was fast and easy and in about 10 minutes I had all my signs off The only other thing I had to do was wipe away the rubber dust 10 minutes is all I spent with this little wheel I had already put over a hour trying the other stuff with nothing to show for it I would definitely recommend this item

Really nice.......
I got a used car and the stickers on it were so ugly ..beside the fact how caked on they were . This took it off no problem.. had to adjust the speed on a drill we had the rubber was eating away faster than the sticker but after a few adjustments it worked perfectly and the rubber on the wheel held up nickey ..was able to get rid of 10 stickers and could most definitely do more . If it doesnt work for u right away just give it some time and check out your drill speed or spinning may need an attachment or something ..we have a lot of old stuff around so we made it work .

Works great and fast and easy
Took me a minute to figure out how much pressure and the best way to hold the drill, but this wheel took the whole pinstripe off. My son replaced the bed on this truck and while he found a matching color the pinstripes didn’t match. The bed took more time and pressure than the front but this wheel did exactly what I needed it to. Took off the adhesive, the vinyl pinstripe, and left the paint with no scratches. Just needed a buff and you can’t even tell they were ever there

Works perfect for 20 year old weathered on stickers
Used this to remove a 20+ year old vinyl stripe from a boat hull. It works extremely well with a caveat or two. You will go through a wheel fairly quick, although I had plenty left after using it on my 16 foot boat because if you work on the top part of the stripe you can often roll up enough of the vinyl so that you can peel off short strips manually. You should probably wear breathing protection as I doubt the rubber dust is great for the lungs (and there is a lot of rubber dust as the wheel abrades). Also wear eye protection because the wheel has a tendency to fly off the arbor when the drill stops. I spent a lot of time chasing the wheel and would probably use some kind of threadlock if I were to do it again. But the most important thing is that it didn't damage the hull and it removed the vinyl. So five stars.

Perfect
I was seriously apprehensive about buying one of these vinyl removal wheels. In the back of my head, I was worried that I would burn up the paint on my car when trying to remove some vinyl decals. At the same time, I also knew how long it would take me to go about doing it the old fashion way of using a heat gun, plastic razor blades, and vinyl/adhesive removal spray. With that being said, I took a gamble and tried one of these (against my gut feeling) and I have to say that I am glad that I did. Granted...I haven't tried removing decals from plastic, so I'm not sure if that will be a problem or not. But removing graphics from the metal body went great and instead of wasting all afternoon peeling and scraping, I was done in 10-15 minutes.

Works well for a tedious task
I had to remove some stick on logos that were on the side of my 2017 Ford pick up. I was skeptical that this would not only work but that it would cause paint damage to my truck. However with a little elbow grease and faith, I was able to remove a lot of the labels I needed to remove. Once you get the right speed going and the angle it will rip the label right off without causing any damage. It will wear out quickly however, its like a heavy duty pencil eraser in essence so obviously as you use it it becomes less affective so depending on the size job you are doing, you may want to consider grabbing a few of these at one time. All in all im happy with this purchase.

Works surprisingly well
This wheel is awesome in the right drill. I tried my 18v cordless first and it works, but the rpm isn't high enough so it's just okay in that. Also kills battery quickly and is too heavy. Then I bought a cheap 2800 rpm lightweight Dewalt drill and WOW! It ripped the 13 year old cracked decals right of my RV with ease. The rubber eraser wears down quickly though. I was able to remove 3 huge decals in just a couple of hours. I estimate I'll need 3 - 4 wheels and about 10 hours to remove all the decals from a 34' motorhome. Not bad considering the pros wanted over $1000 to remove them plus another $1000 to buff and wax.

It actually worked for what I needed it for!
Bought this to remove the leftover mounting tape from some old window guards. Those guards are attached using extremely tough 3M double-sided automotive tape that was proving impossible to remove! After trying WD-40, Goo Gone, heat, plastic razors and more, the guards came off but left thick strips of tape all around the windowsill. You can see what I started with in the pictures. I saw this advertised for decals but was recommended for the automotive tape issue also so I figured I had little to lose... the solvent and scrape method would have taken hours to do one side. It worked great! I used a low RPM and little pressure at first because I was worried the wheel would harm the 16 year old paint job on the vehicle while removing the tape. It didn't. A bit more pressure and speed and it came off relatively easy. Wipe it, and a second pass to clean up the thick tape areas and I was done! Honestly I didn't really expect it to work like it did and I was glad it did. It does leave a fine powdery mess of course, seeing that it's a big eraser so just be prepared for that... not a big deal for what it does, just make sure to prep the area first if you don't want the dust on it. I have no doubt this would work for its advertise job of removing decals if it can power through the thick adhesive tape. Will be keeping one in the toolbox for sure I can see it coming in handy for several things already
