Fuel filter change and diesel truck not starting afterwards.
I watched a lot of You tube videos before I installed these filters. Most people said not to over tighten the frame mounted canister because it was plastic and you might over tighten it and break it. I installed it hand tight and went through the purging process 6 times like they say and my truck started ran for about 2 seconds and died and would not start again just crank and crank. I went and researched truck not starting after fuel filter change and came across a guy with same problem and he said to tighten plastic canister all the way. I unplugged wires from side of canister and tried to tighten with the socket I removed with, it was tight but once it started moving it went around 1 more time and STOPPED. I could tell it was as far as it was going to go. I turned key on again and this time you could hear the pump on under the truck and the pump under the hood with air moving around in the fuel lines. I repeated 6 times and the truck started!!! I do not trust people on you tube because you can get bad information. I would suggest that to fix this problem for yourself count how many times you turn the filter when removing it so you will know for sure how many times to install it. When you do it once you will feel the stop and know what I'm talking about.

Fuel filter change and diesel truck not starting afterwards.
This is a great OEM replacement kit that includes everything you need to complete the fuel filter job. I couldn't believe how much money the dealer wanted to charge to change the fuel filter, I really feel like dealers or mechanics in general often times take advantage of people who don't realise how easy some of the routine maintenance is to do. Just buying the parts was about 1/3rd the cost of having the dealer do this for me. And when you realize you have to do this job every 15,000 miles, wow it's just better to learn how to do this on your own yourself. **One word of caution for install** For the white filter that goes just below the driver's door near the transfercase... You can use a huge socket to pull the part off, but you're working with plastic, I think it's like a 33mm or something huge! However I would highly recommend using a strap wrench so you don't bust the plastic part holding the inner filter. There are two Fuel filters for the 2011 and up F250, one is below the driver's door down on the undercarriage of the vehicle and the other is in the hood toward the fire wall on the driver's side. On the filter below, make sure you drain the diesel fuel out of the filter by using the yellow twist knob. Then remove the sensor cables connection to the filter housing, using your strap wrench remove the fuel filter housing, make sure you keep something to catch diesel as there is going to be more diesel to fall out. When you replace the filter, take a look at how the old one sits so you can make sure you install correctly, but the open end should face up. Don't forget to replace the gasket on the male connector up on the truck before screwing the new filter back in place. The front filter is quite a bit easier. Locate it under the hood, it will look like the black filter with the two hose connectors one in and the other out. *Note* your truck's filter might have three things coming off, the third one is a factor fill nipple, and the replacement won't have that, that is one way to know if your fuel filter has ever been changed from the factory if it has two or three outlets. Remove the hoses and then use a 7mm socket wrench to loosen the clamp around the filter, twist to the right until it stops then pull upwards, and install following the same steps in reverse order.

OEM all the way
Ordered this for my husband. He of course does not like to read directions but I do! I had read online that you need to make sure the cap is screwed all the way on. He kept telling me it was. We went to lunch later in the day and the truck was acting up and it eventually stopped running. He called a friend out and guess what, the cap was not on all the way! So take the effort to actually make sure it is turned as much as it can go.

Better than the cheaper alternative brands
I can't speak to the suitability of this filter over the many other brands, but I have had no problems with the fuel system in 80k miles using these filters. The package contains the two filters that I need for my 6.7L Power Stroke, plus a new O-ring for the frame-mounted filter. Everything was easy to replace. Check YouTube for a video if you need a little motivation. Be sure and keep a #10 can, a quart jar or something similar handy. The frame-mounted filter will drain at least a pint the same way you do your monthly check for water. When replacing the filter you loosen the housing 3 turns first, then open the stopcock with the can in place and wait a few minutes. The engine compartment filter will also drain a bit of fuel if you tilt it from horizontal so that can is a good place to do so safely. Priming afterwards is easy, and do not skip it. Turn ignition key to on, but do not start. Wait 30 seconds until the fuel pump times out, then turn the key back to off. Repeat 5 or 6 times. You will probably notice strange noises coming from the fuel system until it is mostly full.

As expected these Ford Motorcraft fuel filters fit my 2012 f250 6.7 lariat perfectly. Came with both filters, the one under the hood and the one under the cab. Fairly easy to install and I saved around 90 bucks doing it myself. If this is your first 6.7 fuel filter change, dont worry, it was mine too and there is not much to it. There are YouTube videos of how to change these filters. I watched a video and decided I could do these myself. It took about 45 minutes and that includes a trip to Harbor Freight for a socket I needed. After changing these you need to cycle the ignition on and off a few times to prime the new filters (at least the 2012 model needs it so I assume at least the 2011-2016 6.7 diesel Fords all need that done). Make sure you find a YouTube video or instructions on that part and don't forget it or you won't get the truck to start.

Great Filters
Everything arrived as described. The only complaint that I have is the box that I received seemed to be old new stock, and not the new production Ford filter kit. So to be clear everything arrived that was supposed to arrive, but it seemed to be of old stock instead of the new stuff Ford is putting out. This is because the box I received did not look like the box pictured in the description and upon doing a little research I found that the box I received looks like the older filter kit. Not sure if that matters to anyone because the part numbers were correct, but I do rember reading in a forum that some people have concerns about using the new "old" stock vs. the current production stuff due to the extremly high cost of the 6.7 high pressure fuel pump and fuel system. I used the kit and have had no problems in a few hundred miles.

Perfect fit
Very easy to install the filter, one hint, install the bottom filter first, the top filter, install the fuel line coming into the filter, the line line coming out attach a 1/2 clear line to the filter going into a container. turn on the key with out starting the motor and watch all of the air come out until only fuel comes out. now attach the fuel line to the filter and cycle the key one more time until the fuel pump stops. your truck is now ready to start.

Ford 6.7 fuel filter service kit
What's not to like about this kit. Delivery is quick and only takes about 15-20min to swap out. Only thing to pay close attention to is the plastic housing on the frame rail filter. You need to have the correct size socket and to turn slowly so you don't tear up the plastic. I recommend cleaning the threads on the housing and the truck side as mine had some dust/sand at the top of it. I used a couple wipes and a q-tip to clean it up before rethreading the cover back on.

As expected
I bought my very first deisel truck and im still learning some stuff about deisel, so from some people with experience motorcraft filter are the best for your ford truck, NOTE: when installing filter back oil the o ring and make sure the canister go all the way back that is completely tight or you’ll have issues priming the system

Make sure o-ring pocket is clean before putting on new o-ring.
This is the correct stuff, The under hood filter was an extremely tight fit, next time I will make an effort to clean mount bracket and lightly lube the filter prior to installation. I have three 6.7s and this was the only time I had difficulty with the under hood filter.

Very good
Way cheaper than buying them from a Ford dealership and can't go wrong with the OEM parts. Super easy to change these filters but it would be a good idea to watch a couple YouTube videos before your first time. The frame mounted filter needs to be unscrewed a little bit before opening up the drain so you don't drain your tank although it still takes a fair amount of time to drain the fuel out...enough that you start to wonder.

Exactly what I needed
Fit my 2012 F350 As expected, not a super difficult job to replace on your own and I'm no where near a mechanic. If you have any Hesitation on doing this type of job yourself take a minute and go to youtube university and watch a video or two. Im sure that will either steer you away completely or give you the courage to tackle it on your own!
