| Antique art print by Albert Kretschmer (Germany, 1825-1891) with printed signature on the image Subject: the old costumes or fashions of Vierlande, Germany Albert Kretschmer is a known artist who was a professor, a painter, a costume researcher and designer at the Schauspielhaus in Berlin, a theater house during his time. The person I purchased this from said that her father removed the prints from an old book ( from 1870) of Mr. Kretschmer's German costumes, and had them double matted in beige and dark red. The prints and mats are very good quality, and covered with plastic for protection. Image size is about 10 x 8 inches (25.8 cm x 20 cm); mat size is about 16-3/8 x 13-1/2 inches (41.5 cm x 34.3 cm) Condition: Very good, ready to frame, if desired I have a number of German costume prints of paintings by Albert Kretschmer. Shipping is free (in the US) for all of them, so you can purchase as many as you like with no shipping charge. |
