Frank Lloyd Wright (1867 - 1959) is widely considered to be America??s greatest architect. The base for the Usonian I Desk Globe was adapted from one of several furniture designs done in the forties by Mr. Wright. It is believed that he was working on designs for either the Usonian homes designed about that time or for his own homes, Taliesin and Taliesin West. As there are no specific notations on the drawings, they have not been assigned to any particular project.
