Research, and learn what to look for. Plus it should have all the legal seals
I researched through web md first, which coconut oil is the number one product and it leads any high priced or medication to give all the benefits for your skin, hair, and health benefits. Well I made a list of the top 10. #1 was nutiva and by the second use my skin showed immediate results. I have skin cancer and b4 my recent diagnosis I started experiencing dryness, skin tone was changing my face within 5 yrs just was not at all what has always been. I say this because I was blessed with beautiful skin, tone, and glow. So I knew something was wrong but everyone else said your imagining it. Well using this product 5 days straight out of seven brought me relieve from actual pain and redness, discoloration, and what looked like small zits or rash. skin has gotten 60% better within a month. Obviously the area where the Carcinoma is what it is but that's 3inches of my body. The rest is about to be back 100% guaranteed.

She’s been itching so bad she’s going bald in a few spots
I recently discovered coconut oil has been used for skin care, and my face tends to get red from heat. I'm super tired of using man-made, synthetic garbage that works for short periods of time; who knows how healthy that would be in the long run?! I had another brand of coconut oil, and while I used it for 2 consecutive days, its container didn't give much information on where or how it was harvested. I read the best coconut oil to use on skin was unrefined, cold-pressed, and expelled by the manufacturer. I found another brand that claimed they did this, but the price didn't match the amount given, and neither did the reviews. However, I came across this brand via the article I read explaining how to use coconut oil as a facial wash, and I was very impressed with the farm-to-table attitude the company has. Not only does it work wonders on my skin, but it smells outstanding and tastes terrific! Although this process is still new to me, I'm loving the results. My face improved dramatically overnight, and it is extremely encouraging to want to continue every night. I cannot recommend this brand enough!

Other Reviews Don't Lie, This is Outstanding Coconut Oil!!!
This stuff is wonderful and great price. I have one jar I cook with and one jar I use as body cream. All natural. No chance of allergic reactions like I've had with so many other body/facial creams I cannot count. Also the best makeup remover. You can rub it all over your eyes -- no sting because there are NO chemicals -- and it will remove waterproof mascara, too! Read the labels on the creams you buy for your body and face -- some list as many as 20+ ingredients/chemicals. Awful stuff at exorbitant price that the Cosmetics Industry suckers women into spending Lord knows how many millions of dollars. Use this. Don't ever try another product that promises you the world, cost a fortune and is nothing but chemicals you are putting on your beautiful body!

An all-purpose product.
I bought 2 small jars of this oil several months ago. The expiration date was about 1 year from my purchase date. The pictures are of the first jar I opened. After using it for about a month, something black started forming in it as you can see in the photos. I always used clean utensils to scoop out the oil, so I know I did not contaminate it. I stopped using it immediately and put the jar aside to clear later and put in the recycle bin. I then opened the second jar and used it until it was gone with no problems. Since I have to recycle glass containers at a specific location, it was several weeks before I had enough glass recycles to make the trip. The jar remained in my recycle bin inside my house until I was ready to clean it for recycling. When I opened the jar, I was very surprised to see how much more black stuff had accumulated, since the expiration was still months away. The reason I gave this product 5 stars is because I’ve never had any problems before or after this one. But I read other reviews that stated they had had the same problem. So just be aware that this problem has happened to several other users of this product. But normally it is a good tasting and quality product that I use for cooking and in my smoothies.

This stuff is wonderful and great price
Great value and I love that the plastic is BPA free. I didn’t have any trouble with a gaping hole like another review said. But I just want to say, I've bought coconut oil from Whole Foods and other places, and sometimes a small gaping hole is inevitable. It smells so amazing and I’m expecting it to last a LONG time! I use this as shaving cream, deep moisturizer in winter, makeup remover-especially for mascara, so it essentially saves money because you can use it for so many different things! Also tastes great in a stir-fry, veggies and is a healthy replacement for butter. The only downside to this purchase is the expiration date is scratched off and I can’t tell what year is printed. :( I’m kind of a worry wort when it comes to expiration dates so it would be nice if the seller could contact me. However, I have read about and purchased coconut oil before....it lasts years. As long as I keep the lid shut, and keep bacteria out of it (i.e. using a spoon for scooping, not fingers), I'll be fine! :) I'll definitely repurchase this brand of coconut oil!

I love the taste of this product, BUT
Long shelf life, no fillers, great price. Don't keep it above the stove or fridge and it should last in the cupboard for several months. I use a spoonful everyday to swish in my mouth for 20-30 minutes. It's like mouth lotion and it actually whitens teeth. It also appears to be filling in a small cavity with new tooth enamel. I'm not a dentist, so I can only tell you what seems to be happening. Obviously this is a great cooking product, and it moisturizes the skin a little. But, for me, the real use for this stuff is tooth repair. My teeth are no longer sensitive to ice cubes or very cold air. All I do is brush my teeth, then use the oil like mouthwash for 20-30 minutes. My teeth are noticeably whiter and all without bleach or peroxide. Good deal. Buy this stuff for a number of reasons. A must have.

Cooking and more
Coconut in oil form or as a Solid is one of nature's most delicate yet natural offerings.. At around 76F it becomes an oil & at temps below 70F it becomes solid. This particular coconut product comes in a PLASTIC BPA free container. Not sure if the lid is BPA free. It advertises as an organic, unrefined virgin coconut product. A glass jar would be nice, but the taste doesn't seem to have been affected. This is great for cooking. But outperforms as a skin salve, lip balm, a antibacterial "oil pulling" mouthwash, a hair mask, a skin mask, a body moisturizer & as a makeup brush & beauty blender cleanser. Just to name just a few uses. Beauty companies' #1 ingredient, in their makeup brush cleanser arsenal is COCONUT! And yes, this does an awesome job of cleaning your makeup brushes or beauty blenders! Work about a quarter size amount of oil or solid coconut into your palm & swish your brushes around with H20 running over it. Watch it rinse away eyeshadow pigments & grime. It keeps your real hair makeup brushes lubricated & clean. Works well on synthetic brushes well too. (OF COURSE, keep your coconut jars SEPARATE) as needed for cooking, skin care, oral care & makeup care. **TRY NOT TO DOUBLE DIP to retain the antimicrobial properties & keep them nice & debris free** I keep a jar on my bathroom counter for my oral hygeine needs. This antimicrobial oil product works great for gargling & oil pulling. It may take getting used to putting a piece of semi-solid coconut product in your mouth at first, but it breaks down fairly quickly in your mouth & feels great on the palate. I mix in a little minty mouthwash or a Neem mouthwash or organic Vitamin C mouthwash. It leaves your gums & teeth clean smooth! For cooking, the aroma & taste is unbeatable when cooking my Lemon Ricotta pancakes. It adds a slight crispy, coconut layer of flavor. I do recommend this brand. As I previously mentioned I would prefer a glass jar, but all in all, this is a great product.

This is the most reasonably priced organic unrefined coconut oil available and worth every penny. Buy Bruce Fife’s books: Coconut Cures & Oil Pulling Therapy books. My HDLs are from 87-105 depending on my conditioning level which is crazy. Do not waste your money on cholesterol lowering drugs. Your total cholesterol will always go up with coconut oil but the HDLs will skyrocket and your endurance will increase exponentially. I’ve had a resting HR before of 35-37 bpm weighing 223 lbs and a type 1 juvenile diabetic!! Previously my HDLs were 60-62 on a mackerel diet primarily. Also coconut oil helps people with early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s disease as interviews on youtube rave about it.

THE REAL DEAL not like Better Body
I often make handmade lotion gifts for friends and family with coconut oil that I whip with aloe vera, lavendar, and essential oils. This was the best coconut oil that I have used to make these gifts and will certainly be purchasing again! I put the whipped lotion in Ball 4-Ounce Quilted Crystal Jelly Jars with Lids and Bands, Set of 12 - 2 Pack (Total 24 Jars) these cute jars and bagged them up with these bags Rose Frosted Plastic Shopping Bags 50 Pcs (Clear) that I lined with 150 Sheets Christmas Tissue Paper Assorted Design; Easy and Fast Gift Wrapping Accessory Perfect for Christmas Gift Boxes, Xmas Gift Wrapping Bags and Wine Bottles by Joiedomi and it turned out super cute!

I tried coconut oil at the store and nothing compared to this nothing this is nice and thick
First thing you might want to know is that I don't use Coconut Oil for cooking. Nothing against it, but Olive Oil is my go-to cooking oil. I use Coconut Oil for my skin. I started using CO in March as the weather began to warm. I'm an older mom with skin that has gotten amazingly dry over the last five years, so much so that I now use lotion year round. That said, I became tired of rubbing products with questionable chemicals onto my skin. In winter I might have to, but I certainly didn't want to in Spring, Summer, and Fall. So I began using Coconut Oil (CO), adding a few drops of lavender. It's wonderful! My skin tone has improved and it's feels soft all the time now. The lavender, by the way, is a mild and natural antibacterial and fungicide. And maybe that's one of the reasons my skin looks so great. I actually started out using Crisco's product but it's not cold pressed. I bought NUTIVA because I wanted a more natural cold-pressed product. I admit that I can't tell the difference physically between the Crisco CO and the NUTIVA. I prefer the Organic, of course, and NUTIVA is actually cheaper. Recommend. *I should add, so you know, that when my NUTIVA arrived in July that it was entirely liquid. At first I was freaked out, thinking mistakenly that I had purchased the wrong thing. HOWEVER, I soon remembered that it was 99 F degrees outside. I put the Coconut Oil in the fridge and it was perfectly fine. Ships well, although will melt. The bottle is sealed against leaks.

Best Coconut Oil I Have Purchased at the Best Price!
Got this to add to our dog's food as she has skin problems due to allergies and dermatitis. One vet keep recommending more antibiotics via pills and creams, but those gave her terrible gastric upset and made her (and us) miserable. Finally by chance we saw another vet who recommended we try adding some all natural coconut oil to her food, and what a difference it has made. Fewer flare ups of skin yeast infections or itchy patches and her coat is softer. We added the coconut oil a little bit at a time so it didn't upset her tummy. It's done so well for her that we've started adding it to the food for our other dogs.

Lovely product
I have done much research on Coconut oil before I purchased this brand, I found that the Virgin, unrefined, and cold pressed version of coconut oil is the type which retains the coconut taste, and this product is the version which actually tastes like coconut, and the taste is delicious Both the refined and unrefined coconut oils have desirability, the refined coconut oil is better for cooking certain foods of which a coconut taste would ruin the taste of the food, and the unrefined coconut oil has the very good taste of coconut, which is better suited to sweet types of foods, such as cereals, oatmeal, rice, cookies, etc. This unrefined coconut oil is so good it can be eaten by the spoonful, and it is almost as tasty as coconut itself. The only problem is trying to be disciplined enough to not eat too much of this coconut oil per day, as too much oil consumption might not be good for the stomache. Coconut oil is actually a solid below 76 degrees and turns to a liquid at 76 degrees and above. I had never tried coconut oil before now, and if I had known it was so tasty, I would have been eating a teaspoon or two of it daily.

Works wonderfully for our pups' skin
I use this mainly as moisturizer for baby. It smells good and it's great moisturizing. It requires multiple applications throughout the day but it works well. As with any products, I spot tested first and my baby doesn't have allergy to this. My baby had very bad skin, like his entire body, especially legs felt like sand paper, with frequent eczema breaks out. The baby lotions didn't do any good, and I really disliked that I had to use the treatment creams on him frequently. Finally, I tried this and applied on him every time I changed his diaper or after bath. About 6 months or so, his skin became soft and smooth and stays this way. He still has occasional eczema (I think, it's kind of rough patch of skin, sometimes slightly red?), but no itch or discomfort, and goes away after a while. I use this on me as well but less frequently, only after shower or whenever I remember, so I don't notice much difference on me, but I think my skin is less dry this winter than last one.

Better Than Expected - Actually Tastes Like Coconut
We keep three cooking oils around the house: olive, canola, and this product, which we use for some general frying and in baking. It's the best coconut oil we've found. The only problem - if it is one - is that because this oil is unrefined, it does have a very distinct coconut aroma and taste, a flavor which just does not fit with some dishes. It ENHANCES some, of course, particularly some sweet baked goods: apple crisp, that sort of thing. Like everything good, I suppose, it is distinctly what it is. For what it is, it is great. (Nothing better if you're hands are dry, by the way, unless you are averse to your hands smelling like coconuts.) One cavil: it's hard, almost painful, to scrape the stuff out of the provided jar. We put the jar into hot water until the oil melts, then pour it into a little covered casserole where it rehardens. We keep the casserole on the counter and dig the oil from there with a spoon or the corner of a spatula.
