Must buy
Extremely durable. 4 years later and it's still working perfectly even though it's been played thrown tossed almost every day by a 2 year old that is now 6 years. He loves that toy.

My child has owned this robot for years now, and she still has it. The only drawback is the need for D sized batteries; they are expensive, however, I do realize the engineers use them as weights. Great little robot.

Great customer service
It keeps the 3 year old entertained, which is exactly why we bought the thing. He honestly has as much fun with it off as on, as it's a little difficult for someone his age to use. I've tinkered with it myself, but after making him dance, I get bored with him pretty quickly. I do like that the thing is posable, and it doesn't appear to have any adverse affects, since the 3 year old likes putting his other "guys" in the robot's claws as if the robot is a big Godzilla wreaking havoc in his tiny imaginary city! That's fun to watch! Also great when he uses the bot to smash his other creations, like his wood block train village.

Great little robot
The kids loved these for Christmas. Note that there is no concept of channel on the IR remote meaning two will interfere if nearby. I knew this going in but for anyone else considering them as gifts for kids who will play together I thought you should know. Don't let the combat moves fool you. The concept of them battling or anything like that is out. At this price you wouldn't want them all beaten up anyway. Santa wasn't very happy with the amount of surgery required to get them out of the box. A frustration free version would be great.

It's durable, and aparently as much fun off as on!
Bought two, one for each grandson. Both kids loved them and played with them for a good two hours. The remote functions are very cool and its actually a sophisticated robot for the money. They did however, grow tired of them after a few hours but for us were well worth the price. One caveat is the batteries (D)'s can get expensive.

Fun. Not much more than a remote control toy.
So much fun and so cute! There are countless commands you can make Robosapien perform. If you are good with computers, you can program him to do so many fun things. I really like that you have the option to control him from a phone/tablet or use the remote he came with. Just be aware that not all phones support this feature. Would definitely buy again!

Great robot, very capable
My son, 8, likes this but really hasn't played with it much. But the price is right and it does work well, much better than any of their previous stuff. But would love for them to make it able to do more via a programming interface. It's begging for it. Just publish a basic set of commands, or sell a bluetooth adapter with it as an add-on. Then they'd be rocking it.

So much fun and so cute
This is an amazing toy but not appropriate for kids under about nine or ten unless they are tech savants. You really must read the book and learn some commands and techniques. But once done it is a good value. But I would have waited for my Grand son to be about ten or twelve if I had realized how difficult it is to master. We have had a great time learning though!

Not much interest after 2 hours...
My husband and I were impressed but my 7 yr old wasn't, I guess. Played with it for 15 minutes literally. We still give it a high rating because we think he should have appreciated it much more. Perhaps he got too much for Christmas and was just too preoccupied with other things.

I purchased two for my nephews last Christmas. Both boys loved them for a week. Four stars for holding their attention that long. Also, the robots have been tossed, trampled and dropped numerous times and still work perfectly. Perhaps my nephews will find interest in them again someday.

Gave it 5 stars based on appearance because it looks pretty awesome. Nice packaging and looks like good quality. Bought as a gift for my grandson for Christmas and he is going to be excited. I'll update when we actually take it out of the package and try it out but I'm excited about it already.

Fun Robot that "runs and dances!"
WELL, A NEAT TOY ROBOT, FAIRLY EASY TO PROGRAM, BUT INSTRUCTIONS ADEQUATE, WITH SOME TRIAL AND ERROR TO DETERMINE HOW TO INTERPRET THE INSTRUCTIONS! 11 YR OLD GRANDSON NOT TOO "TAKEN" OVER IT, WENT TO "SPHERO 2" RC BALL FIRST OVER ROBOSAPIAN!! DOES HAVE MOTIONS TO ACTIVATE SINGULARLY VIA REMOTE, WAJKS GOOD, BUT SOME MOVEMENTS NOT TOO PRONOUNCED.BOTTOM LINE MAY DEPEND ON CHILDS INTEREST IN ROBOTS AND MAKING IT DO ITS THINGS AND PROGRAMMING. THIS WAS SECOND ROBOT , LAST YEAR "R2D2" AND NEVER PROGRAMMED, SO, MAYBE GRANDPARENTS SHOULD TAKE A HINT!! APPEARS TO BE WELL CONSTRUCTED AND DURABLE, NO STRIPPED GEARS, EVEN WHEM MOVEMENTS FORCED WITH OUT POWER UP. IF LIKE ROBOTS, THIS ONE IS GOOD!!

It's the original Robosapien from 10 years ago with a headphone dongle and app for mobile devices. Works just as remembered and the app/dongle works well on my HTC phones. Arrived on time. A steal at $50! :)

LIKE ROBOTS? LIKE THIS ONE!
I like this toy. Purchased it for a friend's child. The Robo was fully functional and working. But, it could have a friendly design. One of my friend's kid was scared looking at this toy. It took some time for us to make him understand its just a toy.

My 7 year old loves this, it is a bit compicated to figure out and I am sure we have not figured out everything he can do yet! I didnt give it 5 stars because there is no volume control and it is loud!

Very cool little robot. Has to be facing the remote to make it work well. We bought the book of how to teach him more things, so we are just beginning to learn. So far though my son loves it.

Be realistic when you order this. You can make it walk, fart, cat call and move his arms. It's cool, but the novelty wore out even for my 3 year old after a week or so.
