Nice quality bracket
I was looking for this bracket for the past a week and it was out of stock everywhere in the local market. But I am finally happy and glad to find this bracket here. Nice quality and fits perfectly. Easy to place and no issue faced.

Was easy to follow instructions. Took a full day to build. I searched around and found that a basketball display case was the perfect size to compliment it. I had bought the Apollo V Lego not realizing it was discontinued. Lucky to have gotten it.

Houston. We have a winner...
I bought this as a memento for my time in Space City + during the Corona lockdown and it definitely delivers representing the times... I took my time putting it together (although it was hard because lego is addictive), spread it across 3 afternoon sessions. It is not super easy to assemble, as it's an expert box. The instructions are top notch though so to an adult it is not a problem. It looks gorgeous as a piece of art in my apartment, big enough to notice / to be a conversation piece. It is NOT sturdy however. The design is built so that the legs of the lunar lander are on the surface of the Moon, but not attached to it. So it does have the potential of breaking into pieces if you are not cautious during moving the thing. Very happy with the purchase!

Looks great
The best lunar lander LEGO model on the market!!! Very detailed from every piece assembled! Words can’t express how COOL this build is! Hopefully the pictures help a lot lol. Definitely worth the price! Also in the instructions before you assemble the build there’s historic information about the Apollo 11 mission so that’s cool for them to include that with the instructions. Nevertheless hands down a must have!!!

Totally enjoyed putting this together! Mystery missing piece not on list. But GREAT anyway.
I have been a Lego Maniac nearly my entire life. Even though I'm in my mid-30s, I still get giddy about buying a new Lego set, but I can't help but feel a little kidish when I get a set with an age range of 8-12 years. Well, when I decided to get a new set, I wanted to challenge myself a little more (as well as spend a little more money). This was the set I settled on partly because I was a big fan of space exploration as a kid, and my Dad works for NASA. This had my name all over it. I was very happy when it arrived. The box was satisfyingly large (if you know what I mean). I thought that the instructions might be a little more complex since this is a more expert level set, but actually, the instructions were clear and very easy to follow (even easier than some other sets I've bought!). The finished product is simply amazing! The detail inside and out is incredible! I currently have it proudly displayed on my dresser. One note about something that I didn't realize is that the lander does not actually attach to the moon surface base. There are four holes in which the landing struts rest, but if I were to pick it up too quickly and without enough care, the lander could go flying off the base. This is certainly not a reason for passing up on this set though!

APOLLO 11!!!
The design is a bit simplistic. I’ve assembled the ducati and the Ferrari, and this kit is not comparable. Two notes: the “laser” piece doesn’t attach; it simply sits in place. Definitely not friendly to homes with small children. The lander’s feet do not attach; the whole thing just sits in place. I modified this by using the small circular pieces from bag1 ( there are three of these circular pieces and they just sit at random places on the base. I’m guessing to look like meteor impacts) and stuck them inside the circular areas for the lander’s feet. I am no able to turn the entire kit upside down. (See photo)

A satisfying building experience
This was my first foray back into Legos since I was a kid. I just loved the look of this set and the Saturn V set. So, I took a chance on this one to start. I took my time building this set over a couple days and really enjoyed the entire thing. It wasn't that difficult, but the end result is so good and I had a lot of fun building it with my kids helping some. I really don't have any negatives. Everything about the set is top notch Lego quality. If you are a fan of Legos, or even of this era of space travel and just want something cool for your desk. Then, definitely check this one out if it's still available. As for me, I'm off to build my Saturn V set now and then the NES Lego set. It's possible this purchase has caused a Lego addiction that is bad for my wallet.

My 9 year old granddaughter enjoys putting Lego Friends together. I wanted her to try something a little more challenging so I bought the Lego Lunar Lander. We assembled this together. It was very enjoyable for both of us. There a over 1000 pieces. It took us roughly 2 half days to put together. There are many small pieces and sub-assemblies on the Lander. It is very detailed. There are 3 pieces that come apart to be able to look inside. There is a led light kit that would probably be useful for display, but I think I can make my own based on the price. Good and challenging Lego for kids.

Great project to do with my granddaughter!
It had been a 40 year gap since the last time I built anything with legos or any bricks for that matter but I thought I'd give it a go as something fun to do. I'm primarily a jigsaw puzzle person, but I have to say I enjoyed the experience of building this kit very much. I spread it out over 3 weekends on purpose and had some very enjoyable hours sorting and organizing pieces and then doing the build. I love the way the kit comes packaged - very bite-sized construction. Once I got used to the subtleties of the instructions, they were very easy to follow. Kudos to lego for creating pieces with enough difference that you can determine which to use based on color and shape. I'm a total Apollo geek, so I also very much enjoy displaying the finished product. I know I will take it apart and rebuild at some point. Not sure its going to be so easy in the reverse - but I look forward to the challenge.

Fun build, sturdy and well put together, manual missing pages (but was replaced)
I have had my eye on this since it was announced, after building the Saturn V. As an Adult, I find a high level of relaxation in assembling Lego, and this was no different. The design details from Lego are INCREDIBLE with a ton of attention to details. I wish is was as long of a build as the Saturn V, but it was still a fun build. As with my Saturn, I am sure at some point I will disassemble and reassemble. Great product Lego!

Enjoyable, good instructions, makes a great display piece.
Lego hit another home run with this kit. Now that my kids are grown and out of the house I saw this kit and decided to buy it and build it was 3 when the real Apollo 11 when to the moon, I remember sitting on my Dad's lap watching Neil Armstrong take the first steps on the Moon. I had a lot of fun building it, remembering not only when I was a kid and building with Lego's but the years of fun with my kids building Lego kits as well. Thank you for the walk down memory lane.

For Space Nerds, Adult Children, and everyone in between, what a great build!
This set is definitely target towards older Lego users. The parts are a little small and it’s a relatively static, fragile build. But man, it looks great. The base has little lego “footprints”, and the cabin is detachable from the base. The detail is really impressive. The instruction manual has some interesting info on the Apollo program and the moon lander in general.

Excellent detail! Very well designed.
Although marked for older age group, I bought this for my 10-year old grandson who loves all things Lego. He was thrilled with both the kit and the challenge. Gave him sense of accomplishment on completion and it sits proudly amongst his other space and star war models. As always with Lego, well made, detailed and appealing and gives an excellent introduction into the real thing.

Great display piece, not very play-able
I looked forward to this model for awhile and was excited when I had extra money to buy it! It was very enjoyable to learn about the Apollo 11 mission and hear a little from the designer. It felt like a high quality model like the Architecture series, with tidbits of information throughout the instructions. One thing to not is that this product lives up to its creator expert label. Its instructions aren’t difficult to follow, but the connections might require additional, careful force to not break the model. I wouldn’t recommend this to people starting out with LEGO building or children younger than 12, unless someone’s there to help out. Despite the difficulty and complexity, it’s worth all the money and building effort for such a stunning model. It’s one I won’t take apart anytime soon!

Learning while building
I like Lego a lot. They are small plastic bricks that fit together. PLEASE BE AWARE that this is only a model. It cannot actually go into space. This is because it is only made of small plastic bricks. THERE ARE NO ROCKET BOOSTERS. They are there but they are only small and for pretend. ALSO do not make push the bricks together near your food. The bricks are very small (-as I have said-) and they could become lost in your food and then you eat them without knowing it and then this could make you die. Please be careful. But these are fun and know that you cannot use this to really get to space.
