Great Product! Can't Live without it!
Love these, they haven't worked 100% of the time but I now use two in a load to make sure - so I'd give them a solid 98% of the time their awesome. Big Saver Tip........ if these come out of the washer white or no color has transferred onto them after using - use them in the next load (don't throw them away). I did this and they worked well even after being wet and dried out. Oh, how many I've just tossed not knowing :(

Great Product! Can't Live without it!
This products work well, however not 100%. Bought new blue jeans and at first wash, I threw in (for testing purposes) an old white small towel and a few of these dye trapping sheets. The white towel came out with light blue patches on it. Still, I like this product: for instance, I had some summer trousers with different colors (white, black, brown), and last year, I washed them with something black, and the white part turned gray. I kept wearing/washing them, because I like them. Upon washing them recently with the Shout sheets, the white became white and the sheets trapped the "gray" color. SO.... CONCLUSION. Yes, these sheets work most of the time, but I would not throw a red shirt into the whites. Better safe than sorry. Although not perfect, I still give it 5 stars, because grimy, old whites will turn whiter.

I like this product
Shout Color Catcher Dye Trapping Sheets- Is a real unsung hero of the laundry room. Sure you have your colorful little multi-mission detergent pods, there are a wild array of softner sheets and liquids that transform stinky laundry into pillowy meadows of scent, and even more amazing...the products that clean and freshen laundry without any scent at all! But all of that comes crashing down when your crisp white shirts, blouses, and sweaters come out PiNK from that one rogue red ninja sock monkey! I use Shout Color catcher sheets with every single wash to prevent color transfer. I actually use half a sheet per wash, and it seems to do just fine. And a box of 72 sheets lasts twice as long! We know the sheet catches loose color run-off in the wash because the dye catching sheet turns color while your clothes remain looking the same! The used sheets start off show white, and turn light or dark grey, or pink depending on what colors you've washed. I have not had any color transfer since using these sheets. When washing brand new jeans and bright clothes that are notorious for running, you might do the first wash separately. Just for the first wash. Then you're confident these sheets will do the job on full loads from then on. They really work! I don't know how they know what to do, but they sure do work! Remember- half a sheet usually works fine on a standard load, and you can stretch a dollar as well!

Great product, good for sentivie skin, easy to use, easy to buy, great affordable luxury.
I’ve used color catchers for many years, so I can wash darks and lights together. They save time and money. (I’ve given boxes to each of my children as they headed off to college.) You can tell they work, because you see the color they soak up. If I have a garment that I know runs badly, I still wash it separately so as not to tempt fate. Recently, however, a new, purple shirt took me by surprise and ran profusely. I had 2 color catchers in that load. They both turned deep violet. The only purple stain was on a white dish towel that had ended up next to the shirt and sat there with it for a couple of hours after the wash cycle finished. Everything else was fine. These are seriously one of the best home inventions of the modern era.

How does it know? But know it does!
These sheets work like a charm. My husband thought that he could put anything together and did just that. He used a color catcher sheet and I'll be darn.. it if didn't save my white shirt and my husband's life. I use a sheet with every load.

If you do laundry, you need these
These really work to allow you to wash mixed loads or new clothes without any worry about color transfer. The sheets soak up any dye that leaches out of your clothes into the wash before they can stain other garments and the proof is when you pull one out at the end of a wash cycle that is totally pink or blue. It seemed really wasteful to wash so many smaller separate loads to make sure nothing ran, so I love that this exists. The only thing I don't love is that they're slightly scented and there's no unscented version available. The scent is very mild (which I think is why other reviewers mistakenly say they're unscented), but it's definitely there. I'd prefer no scent, but it doesn't really bother me and I'm pretty sensitive to smells. No skin irritation either, which I do get from scented laundry detergent. I was a little worried at first about missing one when I transferred things to the dryer, but they don't do any harm if they accidentally end up in the dryer with your clothes.

Always in my washer!!
A must have for anyone who doesn't like to sort their laundry too much. Sure, whites are separate. Towels and jeans and unmentionables each get their own load too, but these little wonders allow me to pretty much throw everything else into the same load. Now I just separate things based on whether they can go in the dryer or need to be hung up. Colors don't bleed onto lighter colored clothes. My home hair dye stained towels don't stain the bath towels. Love them. Once I had a hoodie that had bled maroon from the lettering onto the gray of the hoodie. I tried countless ways of getting the stain out. I finally gave up and figured I'd just wear it around the house. Then I washed the stained hoodie in a load with a color saver and the bleeding was magically fixed. Worth every penny.

These really work!
So, this is a product I didn't go looking for, but was introduced to me by one of my online mommy groups as a life saving and time saving alternative to sorting laundry. I don't think this is going to eliminate your need for all laundry sorting - sorry, but it useful enough that I have it on subscribe and save. I still sort my laundry, but I'm MUCH less picky about which lights go with which lights and which darks and sometimes I'll mix colors (light pink and teal) that I may not have mixed before. It helps with my comfort for mixing colors. You can tell when you pull the sheet out when colors have been caught on the sheet. Now - I most certainly wouldn't put my red pants or shirts in with my whites and expect this sheet to protect my laundry....I do put light pinks and yellows in with my whites and it's totally fine. I also mix colors a bit more with ease.

Great Product! Can't Live without it!
I prewash my fabric before making quilts with it. I throw it into the wash (with any other fabric with similar colors, without a color catcher), dry it, iron it with steam, and then start cutting into it to make the quilt. I mainly quilt with batiks, and I've even made some quilts without prewashing. Before using color catchers, I never actually had a quilt bleed (or so I thought). I started using these though when I wash my quilts and holy crap. These color catchers go into the washer white, and come out whatever color the quilt is. I actually ran an experiment. I made two quilts - One for me, and one for a gift. The gifted quilt has been washed exactly once, and hung on a rack for a couple years now. Mine has been washed a dozen times or so. I compared them side by side last week and the colors have bled all over the other fabrics. Not in a "splotch of blue/red" kind of way, just that my quilt is now subtly tinted. If you have a red and white quilt, you NEED these color catchers. I haven't been able to do another side by side test yet, but I plan to again (one unwashed, and one washed with these color catchers).

If you're a quilter, BUY THESE. They're amazing.
After losing a lot of weight, I had to replace most of my winter wardrobe. I hate having to do tiny loads of colors so everything doesn't bleed together so I thought I'd give these a try. Even washing in cold water doesn't completely solve the problem of color bleed, especially very dark colors. After six months, all my dark colored winter clothes still look as rich and dark as they did before. I add this to my light clothes as well to make sure my pale yellow or pink clothes don't bleed into each other. The color it catches after the wash load is staggering! I will say that I tried it out with a new dark red t-shirt and two snow-white towels and it didn't completely catch all the dye but the towels bleached out with very little effort. So, still separate your darks and lights but use these so your favorite colors remain exactly the way they were when you bought them!

It makes my clothes look amazing and keeps the colors bright! My 4 month review
OK - I was skeptical. Really? Do these really work or is it just another added cost in my life. I spent almost a year making a King size T-shirt quilt for my son who immediately got something on it. The fabric around the precious t-shirts was DARK red, yellow, orange and black and had never been washed. I bought these and prayed! I put 2 in the large load with hot water at the laundromat (my home machine is not big enough for a heavy king size quilt) and prayed some more. The color catchers came out of the machine a dark gray and the quilt came out BEAUTIFULLY! I have been using them ever since and they are fantastic! I save time and energy being able to wash things together that I never would have put in the same load before! THANK YOU SHOUT!!! I am sorry I ever doubted you. This product ROCKS!!

Wow- lives up to the hype!
EVERY load of laundry that goes through our washer has a Shout Color Catcher Sheet in it. Every one. Which is why we have NO issues of colors bleeding into places they don't belong. I especially love these when I need to launder one of the quilts my Grandmothers (both sides) pieced, quilted, or were quilted by my Mom. I have a twin size quilt my Mom's Mom pieced and quilted from her children's and grand-children's discarded clothing. It was made before I was born - some of the fabrics were from Grandma's old dresses, my Mom showed me pieces of dresses she remembers her Mom wearing. There are patterns from the 40s & 50s. So you can understand how precious it is, and how confident I was the first time I ran that quilt through a gentle wash with a Color Catcher. No bleeding, just clean, brighter colors. Before Color Catchers, my Mom (and later me) would spot-clean it. My Dad's Mom was a prolific quilt-maker, making quilts for ALL her grandchildren - all 25 of us. When Grandma got old-old, she could still piece, but not quilt. So my Mom quilted the pieced "tops" for the four of us kids. Mom's Mom was much older, and did all her own piecing and quilting. I was given quilts periodically, and I now have 8 or 9 hand-made quilts from the women who preceded my parents, and loved us all. I credit Shout Color Catcher Sheets for enabling me to preserve my heritage. Oh - and no more new clothes bleeding all over the rest of the load, replenishing my rag supply. I have to buy microfiber cloths now. Yay!

I'm a believer! THIS PRODUCT ROCKS!
I’ve been using this product for quite some time but had to call washing machine repair technician in as my washing machine was leaking badly from bottom of machine. Found out that the repair technician said & showed us that these sheets get stuck in the drain & when it totally occluded it it got a hole in it from the pressure build up!! He said he finds these to be the cause of the same problem so many times & said absolutely don’t use! Most of the time I will find them in washer after loads finished but if u might not notice you can guess where it went!! It then also traps all sorts of other garbage that may still be in pockets even though you thought u emptied out every pocket! And it really started to stink after awhile before it sprung the leak!

These little sheets DO catch color bleeds - even on vintage prints!
I have been using color catches for years and I have not had an issue with colors running. Many years ago I decided they were too expensive and stopped using them. Things were going well until one new black shirt I bought my son dyed the whole load a redish color. After that I went back to color catchers and will never stop using them. They work great at catching the excess dyes in the wash. I may be paranoid but I always use two of them if I’m washing anything new for the first time.

Don’t Use If You Have A Front Open Washer!
Even I still separate dark colors to wash separately from the light ones, there is still left multicolor or in between laundry. These color catcher sheets really protects colors from blending. It makes all clothes/laundry brighter, looking like new. Not that old washed color after just one wash without these sheets. I never tried it to use with jeans and white shirts using these sheets - neither should anyone. There are limits to every great product. I give this product 5+ stars. Highly recommend. A few pennies spent additionally on your laundry makes one look like wearing new clothes all the time.

Works really well.
AS BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I BEING MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WHO LIKE DOCUMENTING WITH GEL PENS, WE WERE CONSTANTLY RUINING OUR SCRUBS AND CLOTHES BY ACCIDENTALLY LEAVING A PEN IN OUR POCKET, DOING LAUNDRY TO FIND WE HAD WASHED A PEN AND HAD INK ON MOST OF THE CLOTHES. THESE NOT ONLY ARE GREAT WHEN WASHING DARK CLOTHING, BUT I HAVE WASHED PENDS AND THE SHOUT SHEET BE SATURATED IN INK AND CLOTHES HAD NO INK AT ALL. I ALSO HAD A WHITE SHIRT THAT WAS ACCIDENTLY WASHED WITH A NEW RED PIECE OF CLOTHING AND DRIED....IT TOOK SOAKING WITH THESE SHEETS AND SEVERAL WASHES, BUT MY TOP IS NOW WHITE, SOMETHING I THOUGHT WAS RUINED. KEEP A STOCK IN OUR LAUNDRY ROOM AND ALWAYS USE WITH DARKS. KEEPS CLOTHES LOOKING LIKE NEW AND COLORS FROM LOOKING DULL FROM OTHER CLOTHES DYES BLEEDING ONTO THE FABRIC OF OTHER ITEMS. I NO LONGER HAVE TO WASH LIGHT AND DARK COLORS SEPARATELY. WONDERFUL TIME SAVER.

A great product
Here is a quick tip if you are comparing brands of these color catching sheets--look at their size as well as the sheet count. Some of the cheaper brands are half the size. As it stands, we commonly use two of these per load so having tiny ones would mean I had to throw in 4! Most of the time these end up being pinkish no matter what color they caught but sometimes you get to see they really paid for themselves when they are bright yellow or something at the end of the load. These are cheap insurance against pink socks. :)
