1997 Thomas Kinkade Stonehearth Hutch Cross Stitch Kit 50995 Finished Size 8 x 10 inches

Candamar brings you special kits inspired by one of the best known artists of our time:  Thomas Kinkade.  Known as The Master Of Light it's no wonder his work is so popular.  Stonehearth Hutch depicts a lovely winter cottage scene surrounded by a snowy landscape illuminated by the evening glow.  The symbols of the Christmas season speak to everyone, in Stonehearth Hutch, the wreath and tree signal that this sunset heralds Christmas Eve.  The lone, rough-hewn cottage represents the rock of faith.  Outside is only the solitude of the woods with no carriage track or footprint to hint at human comfort.  But inside is a golden light suggesting the hope of Christmas.  This Cross Stitch Kit contains chart and easy to follow instructions, needle, 14 count Aida fabric, blending filament, metallic thread, and stranded embroidery floss cotton threads.  Finished dimension: 10 inches x 8 inches (25.4 cm. x 20.32 cm).

Thomas Kinkade was an American painter of popular realistic, pastoral, and idyllic subjects.  He is notable for his success, during his lifetime, with the mass marketing of his work as printed reproductions and other licensed products via the Thomas Kinkade Company.  According to Kinkade's company, one in every twenty American homes owns a copy of one of his paintings.  He described himself as a "Painter of Light", a phrase he protected through trademark, but which was originally used hundreds of years ago to describe the English artist J. M. W. Turner.
