Physician and IBS sufferer here
Physician with IBS-D here. My experience with this product has been very good. The next day after taking it for the first time I had my first normal BM in many, many months. I've found Heather's Tummy Tamers to work well also but these seem to have a better enteric coating on them. If taken on an empty stomach and with not too much water, I get no minty reflux at all. The price is more than Heather's, but I'll pay more to avoid the reflux. For those wondering about it, the reflux is because peppermint oil is a smooth muscle relaxant. That's how it works in the gut -- the gut wall is smooth muscle, and in IBS it is contracting too much or too forcefully or not in a patterned way. However, the gastroesophageal sphincter is also smooth muscle, and that is what prevents reflux. Relax it with peppermint and you get reflux. Enteric coatings work by not dissolving in an acidic environment -- like your stomach. However, if you dilute your stomach acid with food or beverage while the peppermint capsule is in there, then the coating will dissolve and you will get the reflux. Hence, take your enteric coated peppermint, whether this product or heather's, 30 minutes to an hour before eating, using enough water be sure you got it down and no more. The "number needed to treat" for peppermint oil for IBS is very low -- around 2.5. That means for every 5 people treated with peppermint oil, 2 will experience benefit. That may sound like a not-so-good number, but actually in pharmacology that is a very good NNT. For comparison, the NNT for prescription antispasmodics like Bentyl and Levsin is in the 3-7 range, which is also quite good, but compare those numbers to something like Xifaxan which has an NNT of 11 and costs $900-1,800 per month and you begin to appreciate that peppermint oil is winner. And with a low cost and low side effect profile, it's almost impossible to beat from a cost/side effect/NNT combined perspective. Give peppermint oil a try. Try Heather's first if you don't have any problems with reflux as Heather's is much cheaper. IBS is multifactorial. If peppermint oil doesn't help you, then gut hypermotility or dismotility is not your problem and you will need to try something else -- FODMAP diet, prebiotics, probiotics, and EXERCISE (that one is for everyone no matter what, of course). If it helps a little, you will need something else in addition to it. And for some lucky folks, this is all you will need.

For IBS-D, not really for IBS-C
I have suffered since the 80's with IBS—before doctors (mine, anyway) ever had a name for it. I was always told I had a Type-A personality and that it was just stress. I've tried many things. Nothing helped. Finally, a couple of years ago, my gastroenterologist recommended IBGard. I have had NO problems since. I repeat NO problems since.

Physician and IBS sufferer here
My husband has stomach issues. I'm not really sure if its IBS, he's been to several doctors and they're all very vague with diagnoses. He did a few allergy tests, a colonoscopy, stool tests, etc. and nothing really came out of it, they all just end up giving him a generic list of foods that may cause allergies. They've all recommended pro-biotics before and that helped very little. All we know is, very rich foods, red meats, and sometimes just randomly his stomach will hurt and he will need to rush to the bathroom. This makes eating out really uncomfortable when you're always looking for a toilet right after a meal, especially when we're trying new restaurants. But this stuff actually works, I forgot where I had heard of this product from but I'm so glad I did. I always bring a few pills with me and he'll take one if he thinks something we're eating outside is gonna give him trouble. He does try his best to stay away from triggers, but there is always that random occurrence once in awhile. Steaks are always a trigger food so he doesn't eat it a lot, but sometimes he likes to indulge and he will take this pill and be fine afterwards. I know when I get stomach trouble its the worst feeling in the world so I'm so glad he now has something that helps. Definitely worth a shot if you having ongoing stomach issues.

I give this my highest recommendation!
FINALLY! A product that works! I'd been walking around looking like I was 7 months pregnant. Now tummy flat as a board. I'd spend my last dollar on these over food!

Worth a shot if you have stomach issues.
I have suffered intermittently from severe IBS for over 20 years. This is the first non-prescription medicine that made any difference. After using this product daily for 6 weeks I have had only 2 episodes of IBS and both were after indulging in too many adult beverages so I’m not sure they count. I have SIGNIFICANTLY less cramping, stomach pain and embarrassing gas. Oddly, the hand cramps I’ve had for over a year have disappeared completely. I can poop like a normal human. It is a function not an event. I do sometimes get a slight cool burning sensation after taking it and very strong mint taste. I’ve found taking it with a big drink rather than a sip of water will take care of that. UPDATE 2/2019 Amazed at how well this works. I tried several cheaper alternatives that appeared equivalent. Nope. I take one every day and my IBS has morphed into LTPPAD. (Little Painless Poops All Day)

I shaved my body with it.
I used this to shave my entire body and ended up with a big ball of hair the size of my fist. I didn't want anyone to know that I shaved myself so in my panic, I flushed the big hairball down the toilet. This was a mistake as it ended up clogging the drain. Needless to say our entire bathroom floor is flooded with water and a plumber is fixing the toilet as I write this. 10/10 would buy again.

I shaved my body with it.
I can't yet vouch for battery life or functions other than the razor without attachments, but it's awesome. It is a bit loud, but the pros far outweigh this. I've heard brain surgery three times and areas of my head are extremely tender. This little dude smoothly tidies the most delicate areas of my head without pain or missed areas. Because of the size, it's easy to hold and enables a more exact shave, so rushing and crooked lines were yesterday. I've tried at least four other razors and this one comes out on top. I was a bit confused by the reassembly of the piece after cleaning, but otherwise very easy and convenient. I swear by Phillips (I had one years ago but with a cord and loved it) and would recommend this to everyone. I wish it came with a case or bag, but that just means less waste when all is said and done. The price is unbeatable for what it does.

Man-scaper's Bestfriend! Excellent quality for an unbeatable price. A++
This trimmer, for the price, cannot be beat. I would easily have paid $50 for this trimmer. The build and feel is solid, sleek and ergonomically comfortable in the hand. It’s also incrediblely good looking. It doesn’t have that cheap plastic, fragile look to it other trimmers do. The nose hair trimming attachment is fantastic, the best I’ve used to date. I use all of the attachments and clips provided. I like to keep my beard at a slightly longer length than just stubble, more “scruffy” if you will. The grey beard attachments glide across the skin well without hurting, and it only takes a few passes to get all the hairs trimmed as the motor is strong. I use the three shortest attachments, as different areas of my facial hair grow in more densely than other areas. When I’m finished, my beard has a picture perfect evenness to it that I know I can replicate every time, which excites me because my appearance is important in my line of work. The hair trimming attachments are the real gem of this product that I did not anticipate using. I wouldn’t have thought to use them until I watched the product video provided. I use the longest length to trim the sides of my head around my ears, as I like to keep my hair longer on top to style it. This attachment cuts it short enough without showing the scalp/skin beneath. I can now extend the length of time between my haircuts which saves me time and money. My only issue with this product is that my hair does not grow fast enough to justify using it everyday. I seriously look forward to turning it on.

Convenient and Exact
This is great as a bush trimmer. I bought one that was specifically marketed to women and all it did was pull. I thought if this could trim a man's wiry beard it could certainly take care of my bush. The guides are great, takes less than a minute for the entire job. Much better than a scissors. And when I hit menopause I'll be able to use it on my beard and mustache too!

The best trimmer I’ve ever owned.
I got this to replace a Gillette trimmer that died after a few years of use. The Phillips one is great! It was cheaper than what I paid for the old one a couple of years ago and is of a much higher quality. It comes with tons of different heads, and gets the job done. Just a tip, If you're using this for "personal" grooming, be careful! Its sharp. >.>

Women's trimmer
Due to PCOS, I have always had hirsutism and extra hair growth all my life - I have went through so many products to try to control the annoying amount of hair I produce. I've tried various women's razor's in the past, but those razors did not have women like me in mind ): For this particular issue, I was looking to deal with the ridiculous 70's p*rn bush my body develops if I don't decide to do a Brazilian or waxing. I saw in a passing comment on Reddit about women using a beard trimmer with a short guard to tame the bush down there, and thought "why not, this is fairly cheap so if it doesn't work, it's whatever". I am pleasantly surprised to share that this worked like a dream :) I used the shortest beard guard with the trimmer and I had no trouble removing the hair, was able to get a nice even trim, and had no issues or scares with getting hurt by the blade - in fact it was the most painless hair removal process I've ever had! I'm not hairless of course, but it's a nice change of pace compared to the jungle I was dealing with lol The only thing I wish the razor had was an indication light to let you know when it's fully charged. I don't know why that wasnt a feature in the first place, but it at least has a good battery and you can charge for the indicated 8 hours to just be positive it's charged. *As a note - I know that this product was intended for facial hair, but I believe it is important to advocate for women who deal with struggles like this and are looking for solutions that are rarely discussed. I hope this review helps out that one person who is looking for help with an issue they thought was unfixable <3

Great buy for my PCOS sisters/ hairy women out there!
Okay so I secretly have been irritated with how long it has taken my husband to groom in the mornings. This has truly changed his routine! He can have his entire face trimmed and groomed to his liking in no time! SO much time is saved and no more beard hairs all over the counter. Now my husband gets an EVEN beard and goatee trimming without spending an excessive amount of time with scissors and a comb. Ladies, do yourselves and your husband a favor, buy this trimmer! You won't regret it!

Trims well, but...
I used it weekly for a little more than two years to trim my beard until it just recently stopped working. I think either the ON/OFF button doesn't work or the motor stopped. At times earlier, I had troubled getting it to start but with persistence I could get it running again. It was OK when it worked, but because it was unreliable, I don't think that I would buy it again. Here's hoping the upgraded models work better. Update Nov 2019: Because of the price, I decided to buy this shaver again instead of the more expensive novels that didn't seem worth the extra cost. Significant with the new packaging is a disclaimer specifically saying NOT to use water to clean it; it also now comes with a small brush for cleaning. I think I remember that their former package encouraged the use of water for cleaning, if I'm not mistaken. Now I'm certain that my previous shaver motor died from water infiltration. The brush they give is small and could be easily lost, fortunately I take good care to not lose it, but one time I thought I had. Been using the new shaver for several months now and it works very well. Upgrading my score to a 4 as a result of the new packaging.

I shaved my body with it.
I bought this to cut my hair since the barbers are closed due to the quarantine and it’ll be a long while before they’ll be open again. The clippers were very easy to use and maneuver and for the first time buzzing my hair I think it came out rather well. Just BE AWARE that these clippers must be charged before you use them the first time and they CANNOT be used while charging! Nowhere on the box or description did it say that they can ONlY be used as cordless or that they must be charged before using them the first time. I opened the box, plugged them in and starting cutting, 5 minutes later they shut off without warning and even though they were plugged in, they would not work. I had to leave the clippers plugged in for hours and then later on I was finally able to finish my haircut. I wish there had been some kind of instructions in the booklet that they had to be charged when first taken out of the box! There is also no kind of warning light that gives any indication of how much is left on the charge. For the price they did the job.

Must be charged fully before first use or they will shut off!
PROS: -Cheap price, lots of tools -Good build quality (simple, sturdy, lightweight) -Battery holds a charge for weeks with no issue -Trimming heads are easy to clean, all are detachable and can be cleaned with water -It's not pictured, but it comes with a little cleaning brush CONS: -No charging light or indicator, I've had to set an alarm on my phone to make sure I don't overcharge it. -Quite noisy, louder than my previous razor by a significant degree as well as our hair clippers. It's not painfully loud or even annoying, it's just definitely not quiet. -Small gap between the cutting head and razor body means a lot of hair collects under the trimming head. This is detachable and cleanable with minor difficulty, but it's annoying that it has to be done at all. -This thing throws hair EVERYWHERE, I have to clean off my entire sink any time I use it. -All attachments snap into place, this -could- be a point of failure in the future. -The plastic trim guards have a fairly defined edge to them. They -shouldn't- hurt you under any normal circumstances, but they are a bit uncomfortable as they run across your skin. -The nose/ear hair trimmer doesn't seem to do much and, when it does, it tends to pull hairs as it cuts. Overall, if you don't mind a cleaning ritual every time you use it, this is a very good razor for trimming your face and even body hair. I wish I'd put forward the few extra bucks to get the 5000 model for the extended battery life and extra hair trim guards.

Great bikini trimmer too!
Ok I opened the product and looked at all the pieces but how does one put the nose hair trimmer into the trimmer? See photos. So looking the instructions the trimmer supposed to ‘Twist off’ I tried? Got a nice cut in my hand nothing twists off? Revised I called the company after I looked them off, they told me to snap it off, wished that was in the instructions

Good razor, messy cleanup
The great pandemic of 2020 means we all had to start doing things like cutting our hair at home. This little product worked fine for that. The cutting blade is not as wide as “professional” trimmers, but who cares at a cost of under twenty bucks. Cuts pretty well. The thing comes with a lot of attachments that we haven’t really used yet, but I se could be useful. My wife just cut my hair without any of the guards/attachments using a comb to guide length.

Confusing with the nose hair attachment but called company instead
I’ve used this device for a little over two years (I know gross, right) and anywhere from 2-4 times a week. While I’ve used this mainly to Groom my facial hair, I have found it to be helpful with quick trimming -not the most precise, mind you, for that you’d want a different tool- of some nose hair, and back of the neck clean up. Ok ok, so I’ve also used other areas of my body but no not downstairs as one user pondered aloud. Haha you will DEF want something more specifically designed for that (too many sharp angles with this mover) It is easy to clean but if you don’t know anything about trimmers/shavers/clippers, beware that a LOT of hair can get caught under the attachment, so be mindful when taking it off. Anyhow, overall I have been pleased with this model, and probably the only thing I would’ve liked is a charge indicator. Or maybe even a mini foil shaver attachment like what’s available with some models, but seriously for the price this is pretty decent. 8/10

Well priced. Cuts pretty good.
For the price (around 20 bucks) this is a really good product with many trimming options. It worked great, blades stay sharp as advertised, easy to clean. Battery life was excellent (maybe TOO excellent, see below!) and it is very ergonomic. Finally after moderate use (every few days) of 1 1/2 years, the power button on this trimmer got stuck in ON position. Other reviewers have called this out as well. Now the excellent battery life is a bit annoying -- trimmer has been running for 2+ hours droning away. :) Called Philips customer support, they were pretty good -- immediate connection to operator, case opened, will update if they replace. Would have been a five star review if not for the power button issue.

Apparently hit or miss for most...but I happy??
I got this for my son who wanted to just trim and go. (I’m hoping he meant his face). We have another for my husband. Anyway this has lots of various length settings and the battery seems to last. This would be good for those who look like wolf man by 5 PM after a morning shave or those who look like a car with chemo and need to shave from patch to patch. Also good for manscaping which is not only appreciated by your significant other, but also keeps the boys from random snags through out the day when you sit wrong and get things pulled. Or, so I’m told.

Worked great for 1 1/2 years
I purchased this trimmer in August of 2019. It lasted me until July 2020 at which point the main trimmer blade became too dull to use comfortably. I have a 7mm beard and trim about once a week. I was extremely impressed with the guards as well as the power of the trimmer itself. I liked the attachment for precision trimming, but the nose hair attachment stopped working almost immediately out of the box. Overall I felt like it was easy to hold and maneuver, and I got good performance out of the battery. Keep in mind that when you purchase a Philips Norelco trimmer you are advised that the blade *never* needs any kind of lubrication and sharpens itself. This is a great marketing statement but keep in mind they are not suggesting that the trimmer will last a lifetime. It has a definite life span to it and will eventually become dull to the point of tugging and pulling. This is what led to me throwing mine away. All that being said... it's roughly 20 dollars. There are so many other trimmers that cost much more. The Philips OneBlade costs at least 35 dollars, *and* you have to replace its blades every few months. Wahl trimmers usually cost much more and require regular lubricating. The way I see it, I spent 20 dollars for an entire year of good trimming, which in my mind is a great value. I have since purchased the Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer 3000 which has the same motor and blade, but also has a larger, more ergonmic body as well as a battery/charging indicator. Now I have the added benefit of being able to use all of my Multigroom guards as well as the precision trimmer attachment which is still working well.

Good for all sizes
Hi, woman here! Love this for the bikini trim, so much better than all the bogus, colorful junk they pedal to us to use. It’s quick, easy, light, fits in my hand well, and offers plenty of options for getting just the right length!
