Powerful, Easy To Use, Eases Pain (See update: Stopped working after 3.5 months)
The TENS 7000 runs with a simple 9 v battery but is just as powerful and effective as the units in the pain management clinic, orthopedics clinic or chiropractor. It is easy to use, easy to set up and has a belt holder so the patient (me) can walk around. As opposed to making appointments at a clinic, you have this unit available anytime and anywhere. When you're in pain you don't have to wait to "get in" and see a practitioner. The unit comes with a nice soft plastic carry case with foam pad cut-outs for the unit and another for the electrodes. It only comes with four pads. They should last a month. The slight downside is a box of 40 pads is $27.00 - almost the cost of the unit itself. Those forty pads, however, should last an entire year with daily single channel use. Its all a matter of how long the sticky back lasts. If the skin is clean, dry and free of oil they can last longer. Dirt, skin oil and hair are the factors in how long the sticky back lasts. One complaint I have seen concerns battery life. I don't use rechargeable batteries. I've used the unit daily, 30 minutes a day, for the past two and a half months, single channel (two pads). I've used four batteries and the forth battery is still active. I haven't experienced anything close to short battery life. A word of caution. This is not a toy. It is a pain management tool. Even though the unit works with a single 9 v battery it IS powerful. Follow the instructions in the included manual. Adjust the intensity slowly! If you crank up the intensity too quickly you will most assuredly have an "uncomfortable" experience. Just easy the intensity up to a comfortable level and you'll have no problem. Another complaint that I've seen was from a few customers who said the unit died after a few months of use. That one I cannot address other than to say after 10 weeks of daily use it is still working just fine. All-in-all and initial outlay of $32.00 plus another $35.00 a year for batteries and pads is cheap compared to the time, fuel and co-pay costs to get one TENS treatment at an orthopedics clinic or chiropractor.

As Effective as the unit in the Ortho Clinic
I have an area on my shoulder that I'm told is referred to a "trigger point" and this Tens Unit is the only thing that has given me relief! I have a sit down job and by the end of the day my shoulder aches as well as a small spot at my lower back (I do get up an move around during the day) I out this unit on and I get instant relief and long lasting. I like to wear it 30 minutes at a time and place one pad on the upper portion of my back/shoulder area and one at the lower part and its just amazing! There's 2 ports and each port supports 2 of the electrodes and you can select different strengths and modes, its amazing! The pads stick well but not sticky and ae re-useable. I did purchase extra pads in different sizes. It's easy to use and I love that it can clip to your waistband!! I give this to pain free thumbs up. My sister tried it out for her sciatica and she loved it so much she ordered one for herself.

TENS 7000 - Modified the case to hold all the accessories
For the low price, cheap plastic case, and single battery power source, I was expecting a weak buzzer like effect…what I received was a pulse stronger than the kit my chiropractor uses, to the extent that I turned it down to a 5 (mid scale) when at my Dr’s office they use the maximum setting… So the good: Powerful- strong pulse, it numbed the lower back area Small/portable- basically looks like an old school Walkman that you can clip on your belt and walk around with Power source: surprisingly did last - the unit times itself out after an hour, but it didn’t drain the battery Leads/Pads- sticky- just like the Dr’s office Instructions- be prepared for small font and the timer settings were a bit confusing but there are some online videos that are better. Point being, if you’re buying this for a parent/older relative, then do make sure you give them a hand with it - there are some ‘no go’ placement locations of the pads which should be adhered to. Reliability- unknown- have not had it long enough (only a few uses), but for the price- it’s already paid for itself
