A 11 year old boys dream
This is our second pair of these in the house. My son got the first pair and just loved them that my husband needed them too. My son likes that they can light up, my husband enjoys the sound quality, and I enjoy not hearing the 15 ppl in my game room playing Fortnite.

A (Really) Great Entry Level Wired Headset
For what it costs, I had relatively low expectations of this headset. I came from a Corsair Virtuoso SE wireless headset that had a great mic and very good sound, but the connection with my PS4 was never very solid and I would notice relatively frequent dropouts in audio. Friends with PS4s swore by using the 3.5mm jack on the controller and I decided to use this to test. Build Quality When you pick up the headset the first thing you notice is just how light it is. It feels somewhat solid, but also it's clear that this is not a headset that prioritized premium materials. It's also extremely comfortable because of how light it is. Although I've never had issues with heavier headsets and neck pain, if that is a consideration the light materials should be great for long term sessions. The pads are faux leather on the interior ring and exterior ring. The part that rests against your head feels like something a little more breathable. I don't think I will have any issues wearing these for long sessions. The clamping force is a good moderate level where they won't fall off accidentally, but I don't feel like I am in a death grip. Mic Quality I made some calls using the mic and, I believe this to be a great compliment to the quality of the mic, no one thought I was on a headset. "It's like you were actually talking through your phone." Although they have a gamer vibe, I could definitely see using these on conference calls (as long as the video was off.) Basically, the mic is great. Audio Quality Here's where I was expecting things to fall apart, but they really didn't. I decided to make a completely unfair comparison between these and my pair of Sennheiser HD600s run off of an AudioQuest DragonFly Black DAC/AMP. There was clearly no contest between the two headphones in terms of vocals or detail retrieval, but the Razer wasn't a bad headphone by any means. It had a clear and present bass, without being muddy. I do feel like the Corsair Virtuoso had a more full sound, but the spotty connection ruined it. Gaming tends to be, I think, more forgiving than listening to music ... so I ran through a couple of games as a test. I tried a game that I feel focuses on background music (Unravel), which sounded great. I also tried something with more exploding (Borderlands 3) and the headset felt equally competent. Flaws (But Not Deal Breakers) The volume knob goes the opposite of the way my mind treats every other volume knob in my life. Clockwise turns the sound down?! WHY?! I would have loved an LED to remind me that I'm muted. My first attempted call failed because the mute was engaged. Conclusion The Razer Blackshark V2 X might have a terrible name, but it's an amazing product at the price point. I don't play as many games online as I used to and I listen to a lot more music. For me, it makes sense to have a great pair of headphones for music and solo play as well as a cheap headset for online play with friends and conference calls. This works for me.

A (Really) Great Entry Level Wired Headset
First I want to preface by saying I just tested this for an hour at time of writing, but I will update after 30 days. This is my first Razor headset ever as I steered clear because of build quality, but this headset won me over... Pros: -Best sound I have had on a wireless (gaming) headset and I have plenty, this is right under the steelseries arctis pro wireless which I did have for a test. -Good build quality and the metal hinges are super tight, some have had loose fitting ones, mine did not have those. -comfort, this is comparable to my arctis 7 2019 with brainwavz. I am going to mod some brainwavz on these too. The earpads are fine for most people stock though. -mic quality is very good, maybe the best I have heard on a wireless set, but this also leads to a small con as well which I will cover below. -razor synapse is good, I jumped in and set a v eq and then tested the gaming preset which was good also. Very good customizing here, gotta have an adjustable eq for me before I'm buying it. -battery life, TBD but it is very loud and advertises 20+ hours. No problems with it being quiet on pc and Ps5. -clarity is superb and thx is very good for my purposes. Cons -it did not clip sound (distort) until I pre-amped it, but it really isn't needed. It did clip sound on ps5 if I maxed the USB up, but leave it at 90% and you should be good. -mic is a huge one, it's a cardioid style mic and it is pretty big, but it does have very good quality once dialed in with Synapse. -no THX on ps5, but 3d sound works just fine. On PC this is very high end sound imo as this can hit some really good kHz 28k and is near Hifi. -no USB C and is only micro USB, just a small gripe, not deducting from what this headset does. -will work on Xbox only if wired, but the 3.5mm cable Razor supplied is a nice braided L cable. -volume knob is huge, but that's aesthitics which is fine for most. Overall: If you have the money to spend a little more than 100 I would get this if your primary use is Pc/Ps5. This headset stomps the pulse 3d wireless and is better than my Arctis 7 2019 for my purposes of use. This will work wired as well, but I have not tested on Xbox. I will update after 30 days of use. Razor has made an exceptional headset here and this is going to be between Arctis 7 and this being my daily driver. Btw, I have large ears and this is still over the ear for me and is super comfy. Update Feb 4th: battery life, sound and comfort is still great. It sounds great wired on my series X using DTS sound unbound. The drivers have broke in a little bit and battery life is around 24 to 25 hours at about 65% volume. These get as loud as my gen3 A50's. Build quality should be fine as I don't see any failure points for my use and I baby these and keep them on a headset holder. These are still 5 star for me. Update 03/09/2021: The Blackshark V2 Pro is still working fine and I have used this on my Series X (wired), PS5 (wired and wireless), and pc (wired and wireless). Battery life has been around 23 to 24 hours as the volume is kept around 70%. Mic has been fine when used on all platforms and the comfort after these have broken in is second only to my Arctis 7, which both are close in comfort. Nothing faulty and build has held up very well. I will say that it is a pain to change earpads, but other than that it's still a very good headset.

The Triforce 50 MM drivers deliver immersive audio and the microphone has crystal clear quality. I've had numerous headsets throughout my gaming experience and these are by far the best for their price. $60 Well Spent in my book!

First Razor headset and it's a winner!
TLDR: So far so good! Only used them for a few hours but set up was easy and I love the product so far. I was a little disappointed in years prior when spending BIG bucks on wireless headphones. I wont mention brand names but even well reviewed devices caused me bad luck. I spent LOTS of time reading reviews and toiled over how much to spend and what would be both easy to use and sound really good. I think my search paid off because thats exactly what I got with this product. I just started using the BlacksharkV2 Pro but for one... the set up IS actually as easy as advertised. I charged the device as instructed. Put the wireless dongle in the USB3.0 hub of my laptop. The software just installed on its own. I didnt have to break my brain tweaking windows preferences everything just did what the isntructions said it would. Following them was easy. Im not an expert level computer technician and the software is very intuitive. It automatically detects when the device is connected and you can customize settings on the fly. And there arent TOO many complicated settings to tweak. So maybe expert level users would be turned off. But for me its "just right"... enough for me to feel satisfied in the tweaking I would expect from a higher end product but not so much that its stressful to use. I booted up Madden, played with settings for about 5 minutes and was gaming from that point on. As far as what settings do... I knew what I was measing with and what I didnt know was easily explained right there on the software. Im so impressed with the software that Im considering using this brand for other devices. These are first impressions but the sound quality is quite nice. Im no audio freak but the quality exceeds expectations, especially after messing with the settings. Functionality is fine. With wireless headphones I expect the controls to be on the headset itself. This means the buttons are small and tight together by nature, but this design is as convenient as i think it could be. The mute button feels good and is easy to hit. The volume control dial is easy to find on your head. The features advertised work well and didnt let me down. My only gripe is that I had some trouble with the detachable mic. I have the settings fully cranked up on my mic output and its STILL a touch low on dischord for my team mates. I had some issues getting it to face the right way but once I did I found the quality acceptable. The actual connection from the mic to the headset isnt all that sturdy so it took some fiddling at first but I havent had problems since I positioned it how I like. The downside is that it somewhay defeats the purpose of having a detachable mic if the set up is so fiddly that it has to be JUST RIGHT every time. I always get worried with devices like headphones that they look differently than pictured. These cans are as sleek as I expected. No surprise silly flashy lights like my last pair. Theyre nice and comfy on my head. For me its a perfect balance of snugging to my head while moving around a little without causing too much uncomfortable pressure.

10/10 Best Budget Friendly Headset!
A few months ago I was commandeering my battlestation, but something was missing. I was pwning noobs. I had a fridge stocked full of ice-cold Mountain Dew Amp Game Fuel. Rick and Morty was playing on the TV. The perfect evening. What was the problem? Suddenly, I heard the pipsqueak voice of a pre-pubescent child attempting to insult me. I think he said something about my mother, but I couldn't tell over the poor sound quality coming through my headset. So, I absolutely domed that dweeb with a 360 no-scope jump shot from across the map then proceeded to spawn camp him until his bedtime at 7PM. That's when I decided to order this Razer BlackShark headset. Now I can clearly hear middle-schoolers' pathetic attempts at trash-talking as well as their sobs and cries when I get on a killstreak and start stacking bodies. Footsteps are crisp and clear, allowing me to use tactics and strategy to gain a competitive advantage (not that I need one given my epic gaming skills). The noise cancellation technology is top-notch -- I usually can't hear my wife and her boyfriend arguing in the next room. All in all, this is a pretty legit headset, but it's only for GAMERS. Seriously, if you're not a GAMER, you would just be wasting your money. This headset has advanced features that only true epic GAMERS would know how to properly utilize and the situations in which to deploy them.

I wanted good wireless headphones and got them
So to start off I use this headset when gaming, listening to music and video editing. My favorite part about this headset is: -not too tight on my head (doesn’t give me a headache after long use -crazy noise cancelling (I can literally eat chips and no one hears me munching) -easy quick mute button (I always get a headset with a mute button because I hate having to go back over to discord to quickly mute myself for something when I can just press a button -comfy ear squish (idk what to call it sorry) that is high quality and not covered with some weird rubber material like my last ones -I can hear way more In my video games than I ever had to before, it took me two days to adjust to being able to actually hear things behind me and all around me. I kept getting weirded out that it was a noise in the house lol - doesn’t pick up the click clack of my keyboard Things that you will have to look out for: -sometimes when I laugh, my mic doesn’t pick up me laughing or it gets cut off. Because it’s so good at noise cancelling it won’t catch smaller sounds you may make. I recommend just manually boosting your mic or having your friends turn up the volume for you on whatever platform (if applicable) -music is pretty crisp and clear but sounds a bit distant sometimes probably from the surround sound. It’s not horrible for music but if you’re an audiophile you probably won’t like it for music. TLDR; Great overall for gaming, noise cancelling and sound quality, not for audiophiles wanting to listen to music but good for general listening Noise cancelling a little too strong at times, just boost your mic or remove the cover on it.

Another Update: If you are noticing that these headphones sound lousy on your PC, muddy mid tones and non crisp audio, simply uninstall Razer Synapse and they will sound SO much better. I spent hours fiddling around with the EQ settings and I could never get them right even though they sound fantastic on my PS5. By uninstalling Synapse and just running these direct from the USB dongle, they sound so much more clear and crisp. Also, if you're using windows, download Dolby atmos and just keep it on the default settings. I found that gives the most crisp, full, 3d audio that sounds fantastic You can use Dolby Atmos through windows if you want to tweek the sound and get 3D audio and it even has an EQ so you have the best of both worlds. This should dramatically improve the audio quality Update: had these things for a few months and I still love them! They work great on my PS5 as well as my PC although it can get a little difficulty finding the right EQ settings and changes to them will drastically improve or degrade the sound. All in all, five out of five product ---- These things are amazing! I was looking for a good pair of wireless headphones that were compatible with the 3D sound on my PS5. With the included dongle, these things are basically just plug and play; both my PS5 and PC effortless and quickly recognize the headphones when they are turned on. I'm not an audiophile, but audio in music and games is important to me. These things really shine especially at this price point and the fact that they are wireless. When I first tested them on my PS5, I wasn't blown away with the 3D audio, until I switched by to my old but high quality sanheauser headphones. WOW what a difference in audio quality and spatial awareness. As with any good headphones, you're not getting the most out of them if you're not properly equalizing them. The headphones come with decent presets (on the synapse PC app) but I've included a better equalization in the picture. Switch between the default preset and this and you will really hear how well these headphones can shine with proper equalization. Very clear tones with rich bass! The headphones are high quality. They do have a light grip on your head and and they will move around on your head, but for a person who wears glasses this is a good thing since they dramatically increase the comfort level and reduce the change of your glasses causing pressure points. The material on the headphones is a little spongy to finger prints but not a big deal. The only thing that makes me nervous is the USB dongle situation. I would really like to order an extra dongle since I hope to take these between my PC and my PS5, so I worry if i lose this I will be out of luck. I bought a third party usb dongle but I can't connect them, so I think you are stuck with the factory Razer dongle that doesn't seem easy to replace. Not a negative, just a small drawback. I would feel much better if I could either buy a replacement dongle on razers website (you can't at the moment) or have the ability to connect to a third party dongle For 170, these seem like a screaming deal. It's so much nicer playing on my PC now with fewer wires and they sound as good if not better than my wired headphones. I'd highly recommend these

Overall a great Noise cancelling headset
I recently just got a PS5 and wanted to upgrade from my turtlebeaches I had for my PS4 system. Wow. This wireless headset is just great. They fit great, feel great, sound great, the microphone works perfect and plugs in and out; and literally was so easy to set up. Plug in the USB in the back of the PS5 and it immediately recognizes the headset and puts it into the audio settings. So easy. BIG NOTE: Not too mention, I can have them off and plug in the adapter cord that inserts into the controller and use them like that too! Yes, the sound quality isn’t as great as when they are on and getting the direct sound output from the USB on the system, but still... you can have the battery saved for the games you really want to hear footsteps like call of duty and what not, and use them powered off for other games you might not need full audio experience for. It’s incredible. Having a wireless/wired headset is the new wave of gaming and I think you won’t be disappointed in them. Again, I use them just for my PS5, but they are compatible across all platforms and this is my first headset outside of turtlebeaches... I won’t be going back to them! 5-star for these. User friendly, so easy to set-up... literally give you the complete audio portion of a gaming experience.

A (Really) Great Entry Level Wired Headset
First off, ignore the dude that was like "omg these things suck because I didn't follow the directions!" My husband recently started streaming, and there's been issues with audio quality, a lot! So it was time to get some new headphones. We needed ones for the PC and my first step is to look by price, highest to lowest, because we all know you get what you pay for!!! But these headphones are there to prove that wrong!!!!!!! Immediately installed the graphics card that comes with it, and registered. I was happy to see how much software comes with it. Not just audio software, but an additional one for gaming that helps to boost your games! Then it was time to test it!!!! Whatever you do, go on youtube and look up something like "The Tucker Experience, 3D audio. And prepare to be amazed. Now, it's an awesome audio to listen too, but it tell you "no headphones, use earbuds!" I think this product wasn't available when that video launched because these headphones took you to a whole new level of 3D audio!!! There's a part where a knock is at the door, and myself, my husband, and my two kids all looked up when we heard it because it's THAT realist. I'm shocked, and amazed at not just the quality, but the price. One of my biggest issues has always been the fact that I wear glasses, if you don't this part isn't needed for you. I get headaches super bad with any headphones I've ever used, while wearing my glasses. It's like baby Jesus is punishing me for going blind, and they just squeeze the braincells straight out of my head! But not with the Razer Black shark v2! I didn't even realize I was wearing my glasses, because the design is so on point! So blind folks, we finally have a pair of headphones!!!! The quality is just out right amazing, the spatial sound is freaky and awesome for gaming. COD has just gone to a whole new level!!!! Like before with another set of headphones, priced well over these, I know someone was right or left, boo boo with these you know exactly where that punk is at!!!! Game on!! I'm so excited about these that very soon, I will get my own pair, and totally wearing them when my husband is at work. This is an amazing product!!!!!

Sweet baby Jesus, and all things Holy!!!
First-most, i am an audiophile. That said. i have tested Literally ALL. Of razers headsets along with various other top brands. I am UPgrading from the TErRRRIBLE nari ultimates with this currently satifactory blackshark pro. UNlike the naris i have turned the v2's convenient volume nob All the way up and i can say comfortably that it is Not trying to Blow my head off. While i DO Appreciate some DEEP Bass from time to time, and the nari's at first did Much more than Deliver that. the Overall durability however, has completely crumbled to dust with Constant connectivity issues and a burnt out battery leaving the nari thinking that its already dead Even Though i Literally Leave it Charging for an Entire DAY. JusT out of reach of my return window at that. expectedly, that leaves me a bit annoyed. i Wish i could send my naris back but now im stuck with them. and i literally Chucked them on the ground when i saw this beauty. i Do wish the black shark v2 had chroma though. but beauty cant be everything all the time. its still a sleek stylish "Back in black" vibe and Farrrrrr Superior Comfort giver in comparison to the prior headset. the sound is deep and clear. not exactly Booming like the naris and that can be a Good thing. This is pretty much the type of Stereo Sound quality i would expect from a high end Sony headset. the mic is crystal clear.. though perhaps TOO much. as some others have Noted it WILL pick up EVERYTHING. This is NOT a Noise cancelling mic. as some for Some odd reason have Lied about in their reviews. i have self tested it in synapse before doing Anything else and it easily catches every calm, normal breath i take. so i obviously have a bit of sound tweaking to do to unlock its true potential but so far so good. worth the price of admission. Just Stay away from those damn naris And krakens.

Wish the 3.5mm was louder
I'm very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this headset. While nothing can beat full 5.1 channel surround sound with external wired speakers, I find myself in a situation where I can't use my external speakers. They are packed away in storage for a couple of years. Enter the Razer BlackShark V2s. I chose the USB wired model of these to save a bit of money over the wireless, but aside from the very minor annoyance of having a cord come down from them, I'm sure my review would apply to both. These provide simulated surround sound through processing, and I've found they are as good as most any headset in this regard. I can pretty easily pick out sound cues while gaming, so no lack of ability on that end. The headset also has a detachable mic, which I don't use most of the time, so it's nice to have it around and ready, but not sitting on the headset. The headset is very light, and super-comfortable. In deciding between this headset and others, what sold me was that the earcup material wasn't the vinyl or leather that others use, but rather a cloth material that is very smooth and doesn't get "sticky" against my head when I start to sweat a little. Granted, the vinyl/leather do seal out a bit more of the ambient sound in the room, but these headphones are still very good at that, but the comfort of cloth against my skin is over-the-top. I'm very happy I chose them, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality, surround sound gaming headset, where comfort is highly sought after for hours of use.

good for what you pay for
I find these headphones very comfortable. Lightweight on head. Not too much pressure on head. The cushions are soft but breathable, or at least doesn't get so hot like many others. The features and controls in the Razer software is superb. I really like it. The mic really benefits from it. Good mic. I've done research and sounds the best mic on a headset at this price point. Will it sound as good as a dedicated, legit mic? No. But it does the job. The hear back feature (or whatever its called, commonly found on Turtle Beach) is extremely quiet (or perhaps if you use a lot of features in the software which I did to make it sound good) and kinda pointless to be advertised. Additionally, with the volume knob turned all the way up, there is some background hum so not the cleanest performance. That said, with guns blazing etc, its not noticable. I do like the size and ease of the volume knob. The microphone has good noise isolation IMO The mic gooseneck or whatever its called... Seems high quality. Easy to adjust but hasn't been slacking or losing rigidity/form. This has been a few months now

Great choice for surround sound AND comfort.
This is the king of headsets. Do not be fooled by the 100$ price point of this headset. As a competitive gamer, I need every edge I can get over my opponent. This headset does not disappoint. I have tried multiple headsets over $200 and they could not compete in the same league as this headset. I will list all the things I love most down below in order of importance: 1.) sound quality - best bang for the buck here. Punchy bass, extremely accurate directional audio (this is the first headset used where I have been able to kill enemies with my eyes closed). This headset gets very loud, no need to worry about missing any enemy footfalls. For music, this headset sounds better than my beats. You can hear every layer of sound and will be fully immersed in music 2.) Mic clarity - I have never been more impressed by a headset’s mic. I come in crystal clear over any and all chats. Clear enough to stream with or record YouTube videos, I don’t know how they did it but Razr killed it with this mic. 3.) Price - This should be factor number one as far as I’m concerned. I still cannot get over the fact I paid $100 for this engineering marvel. I have tried multiple headsets over the $200 price point and this one is the king. Everything you could ever want in a headset and more. 4.) Comfort - this is by far the most comfortable headset I’ve ever worn, it weighs almost nothing and sits like a cloud on my head. I can wear this for eight hours or more comfortably with glasses. This is officially the first time I’ve ever been able to say this about any headset. Flawless design here. After going through multiple more expensive headsets, I finally settled on the Razr Blackshark V2. Other products I tried: Steelseries Arctic 9x - DO NOT BUY THIS ATROCITY HyperX Cloud Revolver S - Fell apart within a year Both of these $200+ headsets have far inferior audio quality. I have used expensive Astros and Tritons as well. They can produce similar audio quality, albeit being twice the price and twice as heavy and thus uncomfortable. As an IT guy who handles calls, I use this headset for work as well and couldn’t be happier. Hardcore gamer, audiophile, or phone support - stop shopping around, this is the headset for you.

Very comfortable. Good sound and mic.
At first, I was hesitant to buy a headset from Razer as other models didn’t have especially good reviews. Coming from The Hyper X Cloud and the difference was instant in terms of comfort and sound quality. Mic quality is also good, if you are using the USB dongle, I recommend to disable the noise reduction option as it filters your voice too much. The only gripe I had with this headset was that it didn’t come with a sound splitter in case you’d like to connect it to your motherboard sound card.

King of gaming headsets for 100$
I just got the PS5, and I was reading lots of comments how this headset does not work with the PS5 do not buy etc. After trying them out , they work FANTASTIC . I love these headphones . They are comfortable, loud, great quality audio . It connects automatically to my PS5 and PC. No issues there . I don’t see many flaws. It’s an overall great piece of equipment. Only thing I have not tried is THX. Didn’t realize I needed to pay $20 extra for the software . But I love my purchase

Great, works with PS5
Before ordering I searched all the reviews for the word "Linux". Many headsets had comments stating how they did not work in Linux, which is a deal breaker as I spend the majority of my time in Linux Mint programming. Boot into Windows just once a twice a week when I manage to find free time for a bit of gaming. This headset works perfectly in Linux, no issues. Plugged in the USB receiver, quickly picked it up as a sound output / input device, selected it, and done. Does a good job isolating outside noise, which honestly I wish it didn't as sometimes I want to hear conversations in the room with the Wife while on a call / gaming, but whatever, they do a pretty good job there too. Comfy af. Doesn't require software to be installed to use. I hate installing a razer, or logitech, or asus program for every stupid accessory I purchase, I've sworn off any accessory that requires an application for it to function correctly. These work great without the software. I suppose in Windows you can tweak some setting through the program, but I don't care. Biggest take-away, these work perfectly in Linux. If you're a Linux user looking for a quality headset, get this one. Should these meet an untimely death or flake out in another way I'll update this review to reflect that.
