Can’t explain how but it works - please read
In June, I had a partial knee replacement removed and replaced with a total knee replacement. Surgery went textbook except my bone had deformed around the previous knee and much of my tibia (the larger, weight-bearing bone of the leg) broke off with the old knee. much prep work with spacers, new bone matric, etc had to be done before the new knee replacement could be evenly inserted and cemented. My quadriceps muscle was sliced longitudinally to allow access. For the first few days my hospital stay was great I walked, climbed stairs, had over 95 degrees range of motion. But massive localized inflammation set in on the 3rd day and because I have had 2 major stomach surgeries, I cannot swallow NSAIDS anti inflammatory drugs like Alleve, Ibuprofen, Naproxyn, etc., or even aspirin But my knee and legwere swollen to 44”from my normal size of 19-21”. The only medication that workedat all on the extreme painqnd swelling or this inflammatory response was a dangerous IV NSAID called toradol which I couldonly receive for 3 days while in hospital or risk losing my kidney funcion The anesthesiologists had to administer it. I was sent home with opiod pain pills but nohing for the inflammation. By the next morning my knee was back up to 44”, hot, unable o bend, painful to try usi g my walker or cruzches. In the next few weeks, we tried a trial ofCelebrex,prescription-only diclofenac cream, doubl doses of Curcumin. Nothing helped. The Orthopedic surgeon had no suggestions. My husband, an emergency physician, had no ideas. I became so desperate that I took Alleve orally for 2 days until my gut began bleeding. My sister convinced me to pook at over the counter creams, that there must be one that had found anvehicle to get thir product through the many skin layers which are actually designed to keep these creams out. I agreed that if I found somthing ith at least one major ingredient for whoch there was some science, I would try it Thank the Lord, I found Penetrex cream before I gave up. I knew that oral homeopathic doe s of Arnica worked well on bruises and the pain of broken bones. I knew that oral Botswelia and Oral Glucosamine have shown to provide some relief but this was all in antopical cream. And it is not cheap but I was out of options & really did not believe I would get well until I could decrease or eliminate this inflammation. So I ordered the small size & when it arrived, I followedinstructions & massaged the appropriate amount into my knee and surrouding tissues. Smelled good, easy to absorb. Then I went about my reading until about 2 hours later, a strange feeling came over me & I beganchecking for what was wrong. Then it hit me like a hurricane — my knee wasn’t hot, the swelling was reduced and the pain was much lighter. I massaged in some more, and y t again after another 5 hours. when I awoke, I got out of bed without my walker, could actually begin to see my kneecap where once was just a blob and I could walk. At physical therapy later that day, I did the Pilates Teformer was cercises, could pedal the bicycle wheel all the time way over and had range of motion of 123 degrees. I put on more cream cheese hen I got home & more before bed. I slept through the night. Today I was able to repot over a doz n pots of flowers, cook supper, bathe myself, and even started work on a new quilt. Look this could all be coincidental. It could be that my knee is finally beginning to heal on its own. But I personally believe (andI am an epidemiologist married to a board-certified MD) that something in this cream works on inflammation and lets me live a nearly normal, nearly painfree life just 3 minutes months after q complete knee replacement with partial bone replacement. If you have the money for a small size please try it on your inflammed area. It mike make all the difference in your life like it did in mind. And I will be glad to try and answer any questions

I have been using Penetrex for more then seven years. I am 81 year old with severe arthritis in hip, shoulders I have recommended it to everyone and many have thanked me introducing it to them. I urge you to give This product a try. Use as suggested and you hopefully will get the help I have gotten. It is worth paying a little more then over the counter products I have previously used. This cream really works for inflammation and Arthritis. I have suffered with pain beyond belief since childhood. I know what benefits me, especially in the winter. I have nerve damage and I also use a special cream with amatrip2%and lido2% , as I age with the multitude of degeneration and Arthritis in my total body, I had to search for ingredients I knew about, when I saw those powerful ingredients I once used separately, I knew penetrex would get me through the changes of life with greater ease. You must rub in very well and continue as you would with daily medications. My stomach gets relief as well . As I continue to use penetrex, I have less stiffness. I am so glad it's at a reasonable cost but soon I hope and pray to get larger quantities. I'm low income and I know that, in order to overcome, poverty or just being able to pay it forward, you must listen to your body and feel the difference that this anti inflammatory cream can offer. PENETREX, THE BEST TOPICAL PAIN RELIEF I HAVE EVER USED!
I tried this & started working right away. I had no pain! I just couldn't believe how well this really worked. I have arthritis pain in my foot and it had been swelling up. So I figured over 15,000 almost 5 start reviews could be wrong. So in figured why not take a chance. I'm sad I waited so long to try it! Is been a month and had only applied it like 3 times on weeks apart. I haven't had any pain since. I didn't hesitate to send my mom some because she took suffered from arthritis pain. This is a simple decision. IF YOU HAVE PAIN, ORDER PENETREX! NOW!!! DONT WAIT... I have used this pain relief therapy for several years and would not be without it. Miracle Cream from Heaven
I was looking for another product online to order for mom when this popped up as a favorite and I was persuaded to look closer based on the thousands of highly starred reviews. As a physician, I ordered a small tub with a healthy dose of skepticism for my mom w severe arthritis who is trying to delay a much needed total shoulder. I have now ordered the multipack and have personally told friends at the hospital who are also using this product pretty regularly. My first indication that this worked is that my own hands have a degree of arthiritis from all my time in the operating room- it actually worries me a little- after applying the cream to moms shoulder, my own hand was completely pain free within moments. The second reassurance came with the fact mom has slept for the first time in days!! Finally, everyone who I've told about this product has come back to me telling me how much they love it. I rarely make promises to patients about pain and almost never make recommendations for over the counter products beyond ibuprofen and Tylenol- but I unreservedly recommend this for any arthritis related symptom

IF YOU HAVE PAIN OR LOVE SOMEONE WHO DOES, ORDER PENETREX!!
I tell you what, this product is amazing, and it flat out works! This cream goes on easily and cleanly, is not greasy or sticky, and is nearly odorless. I'd disagree with anyone who says it is odorless, but the odor is extremely faint and quite neutral. My wife is extremely sensitive to smells, and this product does not bother her at all. I use this on me to combat recurring neck and shoulder pain as well as lower back pain, and it is simply the VERY BEST product I have ever used to treat pain. After flying F-16 fighter jets for 20 years, my body has taken a beating and pain is common. My flight doctors have had me on countless pain treatments regimens, but this right here is the best I've tried and I tell you it is worth every single penny. This product also helps my wife. She gets tension migraines, but we have found that applying this product to her neck and shoulders when she feels a migraine coming on sometimes actually prevents the migraine, or GREATLY reduces the severity and length of her migraines. Magic in a jar. I have had back surgery, physical therapy, I have a tens machine, heated back massager, assorted liniments, and a partridge in a pear tree. My neurologist basically told me my spine is "shot". Now at 66 I recently retired, unfortunately the pain didn't. I read the reviews for Penetrex and decided to take a chance. Been using it for 8 days, in the last 24 hours I have been pain free. Keeping my fingers crossed will continue using, amazing stuff.

AMAZING STUFF
I was skeptical going in to an all natural pain relief cream for joints. I've had knee problems since I got out of the Army, and have broken a kneecap as well. Running makes my arthritis act up, and between this cream and a knee compression sleeve, after 3 days I had no more pain while running. I'm honestly amazed. I just ordered the 3 pack of 4 oz jars off the website directly to get the discount, and after having used half the jar, gave it to a buddy who recently injured his knee as well. He states the same relief, with the same treatment, after the same amount of time. He messed his up in the Marine Corps, and is currently doing the 300 workout and states that the cream and a compression sleeve has completely relieved the pain in his joints, and now only suffers the expected sore muscles from the workout. I recommend.

I can’t believe it myself
OMG THANK YOU PENETREX! UPDATE : well 3 years since my first review. I’m still in love with this stuff. I actually just purchased the 4 ounce 3 pack for $98. I know it probably seems crazy to some people to spend that much on a pain cream but for the relief it provides it’s worth it. I have multiple chronic illnesses (Gastroparesis, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Endometriosis, arthritis, trigger finger, carpal tunnel, Interstial Cystitis, Chronic Migraines, IBSDC... ) With all of these ailments comes chronic pain. I’ve been using it consistently a couple times a day starting when I first wake up - I run it on my neck and shoulders, my temples, my abdomen, my hips, my tailbone... it really does make a huge difference. I do wish it wasn’t so expensive but again anything that reduces my pain and improves my quality of life even just a little bit is worth it. ORIGINAL POST : This stuff is amazing. I love it. I've had it for a week and a half and it's already made such a HUGE difference in my life. I have carpal tunnel in my arm and I've been rubbing this on it continuously since I received it. Since then I can feel a difference in my tendons. I use Icy Hot all the time which is great for temporary relief, but it's more like a bandaid. Where as Penetrex is meant to truly heal the pain deeply over time from repeated use. I was reluctant but now I wish I would have gotten a bigger container....I can see myself swimming in this..... my entire body benefits from this. This is the third time I've ordered Penetrex since December. I thought I'd be fine without it, but was I wrong. For the last two or three years, I've lived with intermittent severe and chronic pain in my feet caused by rheumatoid arthritis. The pain sometimes keeps from standing or walking for extended periods of time. Over the course of six or eight weeks, Penetrex has helped. It helped so much, I thought I no longer needed it. Not so. The pain is under control. I can now skip a day or two with no ill effect. When I started, I applied it four times a day. Now, usually once in the morning is fine. If i've been on my feet a great deal, I apply some at night as well. At times, my toes cramp. Massaging Penetrex into my toes and feet offers almost immediate relief. It's a good product.

Good Product--Relief from RA Pain
I started using this product in 2012 while deployed to Afghanistan. I had a nagging elbow pain and decided to be more proactive than just using ibuprofen. I used Penetrex in conjunction with an elbow sleeve and the pain eventually disappeared. I did modify my training in and out of the gym as much as I could. Since then I have used it on my knees for nagging pain. I usually apply before putting knee sleeves on for training. I’ve used it post Achilles’ tendon rerupture reconstruction surgery with a scraping tool to reduce scar tissue and regain as much flexibility and blood flow as possible. I use it with shoulder pain and wrist pain as well. Although I am only 29 I have a long list of injuries and I have been using this cream for a very long time. It is not a magical cream that can just fix any one issue. This should be used in conjunction with Healthy habits. You cannot try and apply this cream and expect all your issues to be solved. Be cognizant of your habits and try to find out what your issue may be. For example, wrist pain in the office. Perhaps your posture is bad and you are applying too much pressure on your wrist. Simply adding Penetrex and continuing to do the same thing will not work. There may be temporary relief but the root cause is still there. Penetrex pros: -Easy to apply -Minimal scent (you will be able to smell it when you apply but it goes away) -Provides temporary pain relief and can help reduce inflammation -portable (you can take it anywhere) Cons -cost (you are getting a good product, but with much use the costs add up)

Constant Knee Pain, He Gone!
My recent MRI showed steady encroachment of osteoarthritis in my spine, medium to severe levo scoliosis and medium to severe narrowing of my spinal column (stenosis). My doctor also confirmed that a compressed nerve in the lumbar spinal area was the culprit for my sciatica. At present, I would rate my pain factor to be a constant 8. I am also a full time family caregiver for a 96 year old parent that refuses outside help. To help alleviate my pain and create better mobility, I decided to give the Penetrex a try. I am currently a menthol pain patch user along with some pretty heavy duty medications that prevent me from experiencing 'quality of life'. The first application took about seven minutes to take effect and provide enough relief to my hips, right leg and right shoulder, that I could actually walk upright and 'straight' without pain. The absence of my nerve pain was so remarkable I actually burst out laughing and crying at the same time. That isn't to say the pain stayed away, but the first application did last a good solid three hours, Caring for my father is an important part of my life, and somewhere in there I also need to care for myself. The first 15 years were pretty easy as my health was great. Three years ago I was told about what my future would hold with the diagnosis of osteoarthritis, stenosis and scoliosis. Saying thank you for a great product seems a small thing. I'm only hoping I'll be able to continue using it.

My mother has been in and out of doctors for years trying to find out what is wrong with her. Her feet and arms swell randomly and her skin also blisters as well. She used to be a very active person and this drastic change has been really difficult for her. She can't do as much as she wants and is constantly in pain and in tears because of her fibromyalgia. I found this cream online through Buzzfeed and thought I would buy it for my mother. She was really doubtful that it would work but her opinion has done a 180. She isn't 100% better. She still has her swelling and some pain, but she can manage it now. She has called me crying on the phone because she can finally start doing the things that she likes to do. She understands that from now on, she will always be in pain for the rest of her life, but at least now she can improve her quality of life because of this. She can feel when she is starting to have a flair up and immediately puts her cream on and can manage it a lot better. I think that this cream is at least worth a try. This has been a life saver!

Dibilitating nerve pain relief
Works great but man is this stuff expensive. You can't put a price on getting better right? Well apparently these guys can. It really helped me through a tennis elbow bout. Tried several other topical remedies including DSMO and BIoFreeze, but they were like slingshots in a nucelar war. This was the Multiple Warhead Delivery Vehicle needed for said nuclear war. But I feel like I paid 80's era Reagan defense spending prices for this stuff too. I would use it more frequently for other ailments, but I would need to rob a bank, so no. But great product. Use it if you need to, then switch back to the cheaper stuff that works on the more minor ailments. 4oz will not last you very long. It goes fast.

The box says use 4 times a day. May take up to 7 days to work for arthritis pain. Not for instant relief. So I did not expect much... I put some on my elbow which had moderate pain. Then I applied to my right foot at the ball of the big toe where it attaches to the foot. I have had trouble walking on it for about a year. This hurt a lot. To my amazement I had about a 90 % percent reduction in pain in about 30 min! 600 mg of Ibuprofen would barley knock the edge off. I will buy again. I will also update this review after I use a whole tube.

Voltaren is the best cream to help heal hands, ever. Not just a pain reliever.
My husband and I both use this product. We have for over 2 years. Up until very recently it was by prescription only. Our insurance balked every time we went to refill it. They would eventually cover it but it was a hassle. We are relieved to see it is now over the counter. The odor of this ointment is medicinal and fades very quickly. I REACT to fragrances but this brand does not bother me at all. It is the identical to what we were using by prescription. There is another brand out there that has a very strong odor that does not fade so just beware. I use the ointment once a day, my husband twice a day. You can use it up to 3 times per day. My hands used to swell and stiffen up over night. I had to take time every morning to massage and loosen up my hands. Using this product regularly, I do not have that issue at all. I will stress, you need to use this product consistently. My husband tried to use it only when the pain in his hands was severe. It did not seem to help him much. I pushed on him hard to use it regularly. He puts it on morning and evening now. His pain is decreased by approx. 75% and the swelling is gone. I only have to use it in the evenings to get the relief I need. I am an intensive care nurse. I see a lot of arthritis in my patients. This product has an excellent safety profile and is effective in majority of people when used correctly. You can use this ointment on any joint. We just happen to both need it on our hands and wrists. Please follow the directions and do inform your doctor the next time you have an appointment so they put it on your medication list. It is important that your physician knows you are using it.

Pain relief
I am so pleased with this product! I have suffered from arthritis my left knee for many years. The pain was so bad I had to walk with a cane at times and I couldn't find anything that really provided a lot of relief. I was seriously considering knee surgery. I heard about Voltaren and decided to give it a try. I was a sceptical at first ,because I have tried so many products that really didn't help much. I was pleasantly surprised! I applied to my knee as directed. As the directions stated, it did take a few days for the full effect to occur. I have had a 90% reduction in pain. It's amazing! I have been able use my cane less and less. In fact, some days, I don't use it at all. I have also recently began to use the Voltaren less as well. When I started using it, I would use it up to four times a day,as recommended. Lately, I've been able to cut back to once a day and occasionally I can go the whole day without using it. I highly recommend this product!

Very Effective on my hands and wrists
I have arthritis pain in my right knee. My last cortisone shot did not work and my doctor won’t give me another shot for 3 months. I have been doing physical therapy, using CBD oil and icing my knee. I came across Voltaren and thought I’d give it a go. I applied it at bed time and it WORKED! My pain level was down to a 1 and I was able to sleep comfortably all night. I have reapplied this morning and it is giving me relief. The odd thing is that both times I have applied Voltaren gel, I get a strange taste in my mouth.

Amazing pain relief!
Writing this review in hopes to help someone like myself. I was prescribed this for tmj issues. I broke my jaw 5 years ago in a bad MVA. I damaged my jaw severely especially the tmj. I also have arthritis and lupus and anxiety which makes my tmj SO MUCH WORSE. I was so hesitant to put this stuff on my face bc it’s my face and I’m very sensitive to just about everything. I’m honestly amazed. It works so well. It stops the swelling and redness better than anything with no side effects like taking a NSAID. I’m actually allergic to ibuprofen but have had only positive results from this. Helps the pain, redness & swelling. I loved it so much I bought some for my dad who has a hurt achilles tendon and arthritis as well and it works wonders for him too. I also reccomended it to my sister whom has had multiple surgeries on her jaw as well oddly enough & nothing seems to help her redness and swelling but this WORKS!! My whole family uses it daily during our flare ups. Give it a few days to reach its full potential. If you’re using it for your jaw use 1g on both sides 3-4x daily for full effect. I’m hoping this can help someone as I’ve seen no reviews for tmj and swelling. If you’re looking at this product I’m sure you’re struggling with some sort of pain so feel better & TRY THIS!

First decent nights sleep in months!
I have arthritis in my feet, particularly in my big toes. I have to wear rigid orthotics to prevent the joints from bending otherwise it’s too painful to walk. I tried this product as directed and on the third day of use I was able to move those toes up and down, something I’ve not been able to do for more than five years, and the pain was substantially reduced. At seven days, there was no pain at all. I still need the orthotic, but I can occasionally walk around the house without shoes. What a huge difference! Highly recommended, but use as directed. This is not for quick pain relief. It takes time to work, but it is so worth it!

Great product for muscle aches and pains. Generally for arthritis relief however I used on a pulled muscle in my back and it did well to relieve pain. A bit expensive, doesn’t have an offensive odor, and works.

Real pain relief
Great on a non-fatty area of your body (hands, knees, elbows). Not so good for hips. Better than aspercreme, not as hard on your kidneys as naprosin or ibuprofen. Good in combo with tylenol.

This gel is amazing. It works to stop inflammation better than anything I have tried. Because it is topical, it does not cause stomach irritation. Also, unlike creams with aspirin and methyl salycylates, it does not set off tinnitus or ringing in the ears. It also has a pleasant smell, that disappears pretty fast. I use Voltaren for joint pain, also apply on the temples, scalp and neck to stop migraines. I am so happy it is now available over the counter. I have seen generic versions, but I'd rather stick with what works and stay with the brand name.

Best pain relief
Seller provided a larger tube as they were out of the trial size, so we obtained an ounce more overall. That's great however instructions, warnings and information were not within the package. Since this is the first time we are trying this product we were not happy instructions were no included. The tube says to read warnings carefully on the included instructions and there are no included instructions. Will probably steer clear of this company for a reorder.

CVS is about 7 dollars more. If you wait for a 40% off coupon its about the same. My CVS is often out of stock on the larger tubes. If you combine this item with other items and get free shipping then it worth buying here and avoiding a disappointing trip to the drugstore. As for the product, it gives some relief to minor joint discomfort. It is a NSAID just so you know. If in doubt about its use consult your doctor.

The best product for over the counter relief of pain
I have Arthritis on my Hip and Right Hand. I can bend my fingers with little or no Pain (I couldn't bend some of my fingers I use it at Night and in the Morning I can bend my fingers without Pain, and I couldn't lay om right hip, now I sleep all night with no problem. I don't think this is a cure-all but it works for me. Turk

Same as Drugstore but more Convenient
I have arthritis in both knees, but especially in my right knee. It's almost constantly swollen and my pain medication doesn't do much for it. This brings me some relief from times when no position is comfortable anymore or when I need to run errands. It tones down the sharp pain. Unfortunately, I was told by my kidney specialist not to use ANSIDS. My pain doctor said I may use it when needed and label directed.

Well I used on my back and fingers about three times in two days. Now today I'm sitting here haven't used it today then I realize wait my back dosen't hurt now. Wow I need to tell other people how great this product is.

I only wish it lasted longer.
I discovered this a couple years ago when I broke my ankle. It helped with the pain and swelling and when I developed edema. Then last year, I started having a lot of pain near my elbow. This was greatly relieving!

It's the miracle pain reliever I've been looking for!
I had been hurting for several weeks. My leg was hurting so bad I was not able to sleep at night. I saw this advertised and thought what the heck I’ll give it a try. I am sure glad I did!!!!! I slathered this on my leg and all I’ve been having is more of a very numb discomfort there is no more pain. I highly advise anybody suffering from pain to get on the stick and order this stuff!!!!!!
