This was one of the better batches of wine that I have done (me and my roommate generally do at least 20 batches of wine/mead a year). I actually started two batches together back in early March 2016. I racked it on two different occasions (once after primary fermentation was done and then a week or so after the F-packs were added) before bulk aging until late July (would have liked to bulk age longer, but couldn't wait to try it). I use an auto-filler bottling system so had an extra bottle left over from the overflow tube after filling 34 bottles. Even after just four months of aging, it was one of the better bottles of wine that I've had in a long time. As others have said, couldn't really taste the Raspberry yet (going to try the recommendation of adding raspberry vodka next time) but it did have a nice chocolate flavor with hints of cherry. I can't wait for these kits to come available again (already have pre-ordered their Chocolate Mint kits from a local supplier).

Hard to find. Very expensive. Harder not to drink for a year. Add a little extra sugar at the beginning. Put a little chocolate in it (liquid), too. It may take three weeks just for fermentation to fully stop. Rock the bucket once in a while. Leave 1 1/2 inches at the top of the bucket or it may overflow. Don't forget to add two small bottles of raspberry vodka with the small bag when you are putting the first stage into a second bucket.. I even added a bottle of framboise liqueur at the same time. Lastly,l since I brew beer I used 22oz beer bottle and capped them with beer caps. Looks cool. Comes out very strong! More like a real sipping port. Perfect with a good cigar. But again, very strong alcohol content. And be patient. It ages very well.

Excellent! I have made chocolate raspberry port twice at our local DYI Brew shop and this kit from Winexpert is just as good for a fraction of the cost and I can make it at home. It is delicious! Highly recommend.
