Archway Cookies, Molasses Classic Soft, 9.5 Ounce (Pack of 9)
I have purchased several different flavors of Archway cookies. My favorite is the Iced Molasses cookies. When I saw this box of 9 packs of Molasses cookies, I thought I would give them a try. After all they were 25% off on sale, so I thought worth a try. I didn't care for the taste of them as much as the Iced Molasses cookies, the taste of molasses was not as strong to me, which I love. But they big disappointment was that I received them on the 14th of August, 2020 and the expiration date was August 29th, 2020. That is 15 days to finish off 9 boxes of cookies, not happening. I did not send them back, instead I gave them to my grandchildren who will eat a few and then the rest will go in the trash. I will not order these again with such a short expiration date.

Mother's Day Gift....SCORE!!!
First of all, you must know whether or not you like molasses cookies, right? I do and I like the Archway Molasses cookies. They are soft, slightly chewy, not awfully sweet, no frosting, icing or glaze. I have difficulty keeping my hands out of the package. So, if you are adventurous and like molasses cookies, these might just fit the bill. I'm reviewing these cookies today in the hopes they don't accidentally land in my shopping cart....again. Go buy your own!

I was a little hesitant to go for the 9-box option after reading some of the reviews that mentioned broken cookies, and close or past expiration dates. I decided to throw caution to the wind because I wasn’t about to pay $9 for a single package (although three were advertised). Well, all I can say is that my little beauties must have gotten the white glove treatment; they’re in perfect condition. The expiration date (a big concern of mine because I live alone) is five months away. (Since it’s only the sell date, I know I have plenty of time to spare.) Now….the most important part—the taste. First I took a little whiff and I was immediately brought back to my childhood kitchen and the excitement I’d feel when Mom got windmill cookies. Then the first amazing crispy bite; to call it paradise is shortchanging the incredible flavor from those crazy kid days. Don’t wait. Buy them now. They’ll bring you all the way back without taking you all the way to the bank. Excuse me now. I have some munching to do. Correction: some boxes have cookies that are broken in two—no smaller than that.

Cookies are Subjective
The problem with buying a pack of 9 is that the freshness date will only be 1-2 months out, so you'll be eating them every day the whole time. The Soft Dutch Cocoa are the best. They have a flavor similar to a brownie, and the texture is very good: not as heavy and fudgy as a brownie, but still soft and chewy. They hold up well and arrived in good condition. These are the only ones I could eat every day without getting sick of them. The Frosty Lemon cookies were about 10-20% crumbs when they arrived. They taste pretty good, but not as good as I remember. The strong lemon flavor gets tiring very quickly, and it seems a bit too artificial. The texture was still nice, soft and almost cake like. The Soft Chocolate Chip cookies had something weird and chewy in them, almost like little bits of oatmeal or something that didn't get mixed in right. I couldn't figure out what it was, but it really ruined the texture and flavor. I would never get them again. The Soft Molasses are normally a favorite of mine, but it's still hard to finish 9 boxes in a row. They arrived in good condition, have a great soft and chewy texture, and the molasses and spices have a great flavor together. I'd stick to buying single boxes at a time.

Back to childhood, on to value
We love these cookies. They are just like the ones we had in Amsterdam and are so good! We had been buying the ones Trader Joe's carries, but these are spicier and crispier. Perfect with coffee, tea or ice cream!

These are my favorite cookies, but it is hard to find in local stores. I saw where I could order a single pack for an outrageous sum or get more cookies for significantly less money per box by ordering a case of 6 boxes. Based on my grandkids reaction to these cookies, more was a better idea. Even when I can find them at the local market seldom are they so crisp. I am delighted!

Just like in Amsterdam!
These cookies are always the best and usually there are no delivery issues. There wasn't this time either. My cat's desperately ill and I'm exhausted. I didn't even see that my son had gotten the cookies and brought them inside. I am horribly and terribly sorry for my appalling rudeness. NOTHING is a really good excuse for my bad manners, but I do not want anyone punished for MY mistake. Please forgive me if you can.

Cookies are soft and chewy, and they have lots of raisins and flavor. I have to say that if I made my own oatmeal raisin cookies at home, I would make them just like these -- so I am very happy that I can buy these Archway cookies instead.

These were good, but I failed to read that they wouldn't be quite what I was expecting. That's my fault; I got excited about windmill cookies and didn't bother checking they were the exact kind I was craving. Still delicious, still great quality. Just too bad they became one of my food aversions, they were a great snack up until then. (23 weeks pregnant ATM)

YES, they DO taste exactly like they used to.
Well packed, the cookies were well ahead of their expiration date, and totally intact. No crumbling or anything. Delicious just like I remember when I was a kid.

Good
This is the best soft-baked cookie I have ever tasted. The icing on top makes these taste very similar to oatmeal creme pies. I caught these when they were discounted. I hope that they will be offered at a similar price again in the future. The best part about these cookies is that there is no HFCS.

Arrived fresh and in good shape
I've had to made do with cheaper generic chocolate cookies for so long that I'd almost forgotten how much better Achways are. Why none of the supermarkets carry their in-house brands but not Archway is a mystery to me. I had real trouble choosing the number of stars for "Value for money" but I finally decided that they are absolutely priceless so to me, at least, they are super-valuable. Soft, chocolaty, aromatic, dunkable; there's no test of a cookie that they don't win hands down.

Old Fashioned Goodness
I love these cookies! The stores around my area stopped carrying them, and I was unable to get them for about a year. I finally caved and ordered the big box from here. I was not disappointed. The whole family enjoyed the cookies and I will be ordering them again in the future.

The World's Best Chocolate Cookie
Love these cookies. Don’t love that the case was sent to me expired in less than a month of arrival. Be weary of you buy a case that the ones you get might not be fresh and somewhat stale!

Received with less than 30 days until expiration!
These were tiny little things, not the big chunky molasses cookies I remembered from Christmas time, when I was little. However, they were spicey delights and I am embarrassed to say I scared every cookie down my very own self. Keto be damned.
