Tired of ROBO CALLS? This is THE phone YOU WANT!
Aside from this phone having a nice array of features, the BEST thing about this phone is it's CALL BLOCKING ability, it is AWESOME. Just what the doctor ordered. There is a number of different ways you can have it screen or outright REJECT calls, and some may say it's a little hard to set up but I don't think so at all. Just read the instructions. They're very straight forward and easy to understand, and the end result is, NO MORE ROBO CALLS! The PERPETUAL, NO ONE IN POWER SEEMS ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT, ROBO CALLS. Well THIS PHONE STOPS THEM. It's ingenious, and worth it's weight in GOLD. I'd have paid DOUBLE what I paid for it just for this ONE FEATURE. But the phone is also stylish, well built, quality, buttons are very clearly marked and backlit, sound is nice and clear and will go as loud as anyone should ever need... far as I'm concerned, there is no better phone for right now, in this day and age of NON STOP robo and political calls, this phone is a gift to mankind. FINALLY a phone that can put an END to UNWANTED CALLS... I highly recommend this PHONE.

Tired of ROBO CALLS? This is THE phone YOU WANT!
We live in what's essentially Hooterville when it comes to highfalutin gadgets and technology, so home phone service is still analog, and we're not able to activate robocall blocking. Meanwhile, we are being buried alive in robocalls from insurance companies wanting to sell us supplemental insurance, political calls, surveys and solicitations. We were getting up to 10 robocalls PER DAY! We can't be running up and down that telephone pole . . . OK, that part is an exaggeration, but not by much! We were, however, getting 10 or more robocalls daily. It got so bad that we turned off all the ringers just so we could live somewhat normal, peaceful lives. I am so GLAD to have found this phone! With the ability to set the phone to screen all incoming calls, requiring the caller to speak his or her name and then hit the # sign, no more nonsense calls get through. Even IF a solicitor speaks his or her name, the phone plays back his or her response and I can decide whether to take the call or let the answering machine pick it up. The phone doesn't even RING until the caller responds to the screening instructions. Robocalls hang up and I never even know they called in! This works the same way our home phone provider's screening service works---the one we can't get because we still have analog phones. You can program in the names and numbers of the people you WANT to have access, or, when they first identify themselves through the screening service, you can push a button to add them to the preferred list. There's a REASON we live in "Hooterville," and it's called peace & quiet. So glad to have it back again!

Perfect for my Grandma.
The set up was super simple, and the smart block feature is the best! Since installing the system, I finally have peace and quiet from the annoying robo calls. I completed the basic set up only, and have not used any of the other features yet. Another great feature is the caller announcement, which lets you know who’s calling without looking at the phone. This is a great phone system!

Finally some peace and quiet!
The nice thing about handset: 1. The secondary handset does not need to be plugged into your home's phone jack. It works off the primary handset's base antenna. 2. Both handsets show caller ID. 3. Basic set-up is easy. 4. It has a nice call screening and call blocking feature. It is a little complicated, but if you carefully read the instructions you can figure out the set-up. What is not-so-nice about this phone (which is why I only rated 4 stars): 1. Ringer on/off control. The ringer can not simply be turned off/on with the touch of a button. It has a "quiet mode" where you set how many hours you want the ringer to be silenced. You have to take the time to scroll thru the menu to get to the Quiet Mode to specify hours. Then you turn the ringer off. If you want to silence the ringer later on but for a different number of hours, you have to go back into the menu to change the hours. Also you cannot silence the ringer on only one handset. So if you put the primary handset in quiet mode, the system automatically puts the secondary handset in quiet mode also, and vice-versa. So if the secondary handset is in a bedroom and you want to silence the ring while you take a nap, but want the primary handset to ring in the living room so the rest of the family can hear it - cannot be done.

Almost Perfect Phone.
Just received a few days ago, still not up to par with all the features, but love ❤️ the fact that say for 1 call stopped the robo calls. And if they do get through you can add the number and name to the block list. It took time to put in all the numbers of people that we want to allow but it’s worth the time. You can always add or delete it too. I haven’t been able to get to the other features yet but so ???? to get rid of the robo calls. I will update later.

Great product
This is the last "land line" phone we will probably ever buy. Excellent sound quality and features that are easy to understand and use.

Great phone
Not much more to say. None of the 34 went to the answering machine implying none chose to press #. To me, it has paid for itself in only 1 week. It was a little tedious to enter all the numbers I might expect to get a call from. If I happen to miss one I don’t think it is too much to ask the doctor’s office to press # to talk to me - they ask me to press way more buttons just to get to live person. Great purchase. Now I wish the cell phone providers (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint) would implement the same thing. It’s not that difficult for them to do within their phone systems. Update: Week 2 blocked 35 calls. This the week before the elections so I expected the number to be high with lots of political calls. These must all be robocalls since no call pressed # to be put through. Update: January 2021 - The phones are starting to behave strangely. Press "Phone" to start a call and no dial tone! Answer a call and you cannot hear the other person. Pick up another handset and you can hear the other person, but they can't hear you! Sometimes a robocall gets past the system and rings through even if they caller didn't press the # key. I am starting to run into all the problems other users have had. Hopefully I can return for a new unit.

Tired of ROBO CALLS? This is THE phone YOU WANT!
Finally a phone that has put me back in control of MY phone. The 'smart blocker system' on this phone allows me to decide which calls get through and which calls don't - and it works. The longest part of the programming is creating your call directories, but that is a manual process on any phone. Once that is done and you've recorded your answering machine greeting (2 minutes) and selected the level of call blocking you want (2 minutes) you are done. You can make changes any time you want, add numbers from the caller ID to your directories and block with one button if you need to, but I have not had a single robo, scam or telemarketing call get through since we set it up. I have already ordered another one for my mother's house. For anyone still using landline phone - and there are a lot of us - this system is a must have. The negatives are few: you cannot set the ring volume individually on the handsets and while there are 10 available ring tones, whatever you select will be for all handsets as well. These are certainly not deal-breaker concerns.

Finally...
My husband noticed the sound quality and mentioned it immediately. His hearing loss is rated at 60-70%. If he noticed a difference between our outdated Panasonic phones and the new AT&T phones it must exist. He also can roam in the whole backyard and keep a connection, instead of having to remain on the deck.

The Best Cordless Set Ever!
I'm overall satisfied with this phone; the range and sound quality is good, and very little interference from other electronic devices/signals, and I love the caller announcement feature. I'm not particularly satisfied with the smart call blocker feature; while it did block robo and other non-person calls as advertised, it also appeared to block desired callers from leaving a message on the answering machine, and often we could not answer calls that were successfully put through. Either this is a defect, or it's too hard to figure out how to overcome those issues which don't appear to be addressed in the instructions; both of which isn't good. However, I considered the smart call blocker to be a nice-to-have feature, and didn't base my buying decision solely on that capability. If you do base your buying decision on smart call blocking, know that you may have some challenges. Overall, the phone works for me.

Great range and sound quality
Do not hesitate on this purchase if you want to stop those annoying automated calls, setting up the system is very easy and fast, within 20 minutes of activating the phone, I had 3 calls, none of which rang through, i'm impressed !!!!!!!......Get the phone or try some of the other methods listed below. There’s no fun in pranking a machine, so robocalls will not be amusing to mess with, mainly because it’s better to get off the call as fast as you can. If you do pick up, follow these simple rules as it will prevent the scammers from getting what they want—your details and money. Try not to talk—The less you talk, the better because some calls are made only to confirm that your number is active, which allows the callers to make additional calls or sell your number to other fraudulent businesses Don’t say yes—Some callers aim to record your voice, so saying yes can enable them to use your voice for unwanted authorizations Don’t give away personal information—No matter how plausible the call seems, don’t disclose your financial or personal details because sensitive data should not be provided over the phone Avoid pressing keys or calling back numbers provided on the call—If the caller asks you to press a number to speak to an agent or get yourself off the calling list, they are probably just trying to confirm that the number is valid and eligible for additional calls (the same applies to calling back a telephone number the caller provides during a robocall) In case you think that a robocall may be legitimate, you can hang up and check the information for yourself. Use the company website and customer support department to check whether the call was real or not.

Good Phone but Smart Call Blocker Issues
I bought this for my elderly mother who still doesn't have a cell phone. She doesn't like technology or things complicated at her age. She has an AT&T Wireless Home Phone Device sold through AT&T. It is half the monthly cost of a landline phone and you don't have to pay for long distance in the United Stated. It works just like a home phone except it picks up a cell signal and works with a normal landline type phone. She gets sales calls and robo calls all the time. She got where she would not answer her phone and would just go back and listen to the messages. I thought the caller announce would be great for her. The problem with the AT&T Wireless Home Phone is that it only sends a Caller ID number and not the name to the phone. The good thing about the AT&T BL102-2 DECT 6.0 2-Handset Cordless Phone is that if you enter your frequent callers into the phone's Directory, it will announce the name that is stored in the phones Directory even if the name is not sent through with the Caller ID. This phone holds up to 50 Directory Names. Of course this phone also shows the name of the caller even if the name is not sent with the Caller ID number. Another thing I like is the phone's answering system is easy (even for my elderly mother) to use. I like the larger numbers that light up. I wish the Green Call Button and the Red Hangup Button would light up as well but it is not a problem. I did not even set up the call blocker system. My mom only answers the phone when it is from someone that is in the stored Directory. She is good at listening to and deleting any left messages from sales or robo calls. When I was setting up the phone, the voicemail system on my mom's AT&T Wireless Home Phone would pick up before this phone. Luckily there is a AT&T Phone number that you can call to have the voicemail deactivated on my my mom's AT&T wireless home phone. I thought the hand units and bases seemed really light, but once you get the set up, they are not a problem. When you see the 180 something page manual, I thought it would be real complicated. The menu system in the phone is really not bad at all when you get the feel of it. I like the fact that I can add additional units if we need them. I bought the phone that had one additional handset. I am happy and my mother is happy. If my mom makes new friends or needs to add someone to the directory. She writes down the name and number and I will enter it in on my next visit. This phone will work great for us. The call blocker options on the phone are great too, but for my mom, I am just keeping it simple. I would buy again.

Goodbye Robo Callers!
I had this same phone previously and it performed very well. We decided to upgrade to the same phone recently due to some issues with the old ones battery life not holding a good charge. So far we are please with the quality, sound and good battery life on the new phones. Easy to install and has a few more features. I love the call block button. It has made it much easier to block nuisance calls from repeating. Programing was a bit more complicated, but still doable. Like the "walk thru" feature when programming so you can go back and redo any steps you missed or did not set up correctly.

Call Announce Worked With AT&T Wireless Home Phone to help with Robo and Sales Calls
My favorite feature of this phone is it can be set to block robocalls before the phone even rings! We use to receive at least 3-4 robocalls every day but now they are silenced, yay! There are 2 issues that cause me to give 4 instead of 5 stars. One is the phone directory is limited to 50 stored numbers. I don't think I call that many people, businesses or clinics, but when you start to add them up, 50 is limited. The second issue is the ring sounds "tinny" and not synchronized. We have 2 handsets on mute, and the base and 1 handset on ring, but there is always a delay, base rings first and 2-3 seconds later the handset rings. This has not occurred on other phone systems we've had.

ATT wireless phones
I was at the end of my rope about spam phone calls on my home landline. 10-12 a day. I'm retired and at home all day so it is a big nuisance and has been for a couple years. I started looking for something with call-blocking recently and this seemed a solid solution especially after reading reviews. I had AT&T's 5.0 system and was quite happy with it so decided to try this 6.0 with call-blocking. Set-up is easy and I chose the "stop robo calls" option for call-blocking. Callers must hit the pound sign to get put through. This simple action has stopped all spam and robo calls cold since I connected it. I looked at the "missed calls" list this afternoon. 21 calls, all unknown or toll-free numbers. I even went with the pre-recorded voice message so this is one easy system to set up. The directions are easy, it's easy to understand the other call-block options available. It has an "allowed" list which I filled promptly after hearing the spiel the phone goes through to callers. It would be the one thing I would like to change in that I would shorten it. The message is as much advertising as it is directions to legit callers as to what must be done to get through. Needs to be a lot shorter as in "Push pound to be put through. This system can do call blocking on the run so to speak, as well. Best use of $75 for me in a LONG time. Can't say enough good about the product.

No more robocalls
The tech incapable can use this without sweat. I tried many phones with my mom this is first she been able use without help. And first time she's been able to give up the cord. We tried two other cordless phones, I'm so glad this model is available, if just need a answering machine and phone, it delivers that with the simplicity of years gone by. and big buttons. yea. thanks. We've been running it like that for 4 months, and flawless. Tonight was call that brought the spam calls to a crisis, so I'm going to start using the call screening feature and introducing her to call blocking feature. Mounted on wall under cabinet, worried, but looks fine and more clearance room than was expecting so actually prefer is configured shelf like now. She's never mentioned the batteries so apparently isn't having any problems with keeping charged. But I do have two in same general area so she can always find one if other gets left in fridge. this voice menu is odd but that a one time complexity to give you simple base. When it got to the voice message recording I exited out and never touched it again. The generic default message doesn't give scam callers any info about the number they called. not lot of things I don't have to think about. this was a great buy. phone solved. though Mom reports she does have problem of sometimes when she answers a call the caller can't hear her. said it happens about twice a week. she talks on phone a lot so not frequent enough to worry about, we have internet phone service so could be that or her hitting something like call block by mistake and not looking at the screen to see it prompting her to do something. if it happen more, maybe I'll experiment with like answering the phone blocked from base station to see if is issue with phone syncing on signal connect. solution might be to simply hold it up in air a little when pressing answer if spot in house that problematic. just speculation, I've not experienced the problem nor had any connection/signal problems, I even use the phone on occasion in a sound reinforced/insulated room a floor above the base station without any static. So yea, I recommend. Isn't any other cordless on the market that fits my mom's "only wants/able deal with old tech" needs, while having all the modern tech for me when I need to change things for her.
