Wish I could order tablets
You might assume, like I did, it would be fish oil type of supplement but it's dried. Regardless, if the super strong fishy smell indicates anything it doesn't seem to matter. I did 2 caps twice a day with a meal and noticed a difference in my knees in 2-3 weeks! If I skip a few days like over the weekend when I don't follow my regular routine I can tell the difference. I cut back to 2 in the morning but am going to try uping it a little or taking 1 twice a day and see what it does for my shoulder, elbow, hip.... I may even try the more expensive brand at some point but wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one... 1 year update.... Now take 2 in the morning and that's it. Knees definitely feel better. Tried a more expensive brand that was the actual oil but no difference so sticking with these.

Game changer
With my joint pain I visited a chiropractor, little relief that lasted 2, days. Visited a Neurologist, minor relief. Took 3, capsules of Sea Mussels, 3 times a day with food, my pain dissipated and now is just a memory.

Stuff Works....!
I've tried a lot of "joint supplements" since stopping physical therapy for a non-surgical shoulder injury from 6 years ago. The therapy was making it worse, constantly re-injuring the shoulder, so I stopped. This is the first product that I feel is working. I've been using the product for about 8 weeks. It was around week 7 that, for the first time in over 6 years, I have had relief from daily muscle spasms and sharp pains (when I raise my arm). In the past if I washed my car or vaccuumed the rug, I would be in pain for days. Now I can do both with virtually no pain. I think I could go back to therapy now and build some strength without hurting myself every time. UPDATE 9/2/2015 - This has changed my life. My shoulder is almost back to pre-injury condition. I am able to exercise without re-injury, I have no spasms or muscle pain in the shoulder/neck area anymore and no more joint pain or 'bone on bone' feeling. I'll also add that I am not a good patient, you are supposed to take 2 pills/3 times day but I frequently miss the 3rd dose, so this stuff is working for me on "somewhat" less then the recommended dose. If I could give it a sixth star, I would. It's nice to feel normal again after so many years. I no longer take Aleve everyday or use heating pads for relief. I was using heat so often that I had 4 of them (one at work, one that kept plugged in by the couch, one by the bed, and one in my study).

Sea Mussels
I have a 14 year old Lab/Chow mix that came as a stray. A couple years ago she started getting back and joint issues. I tried a lot of things to help her. One thing that did help was Vita Planet Hip and Joint, but a vet said he would try this because a lot of people where telling him how good it was helping there dogs with hip and joint issues. Looked into it and the price was better. This is really doing wonders for my dog. She's old so I don't her to be 100% again but she is doing 75% better than before this issue started.

I think this is really working for me.
A family history of ailments and returning from a running injury led me to seek out new methods of ensuring the knees were being properly cared for. Doing research on the Green Lipped Sea Mussel I decided to give it a try and Food Science of Vermont offered a good product at a reasonable price. When first opening the jar it brought me back to my youth at the beach! The smell of mussels at the wharf, salt air...in condensed form! A little overwhelming at first though reminding myself mussels are strong smelling and these are packed into capsules. No bad taste, no after-taste of odor of any sort. Taken now for three weeks and I think these are helping not only the knees; an overall less achy-ness after lifting and paddling lets me know the joints are happier than only taking glucosamine. I plan to keep this in my rotation of supplements.

Working for my dog
I was spending a fortune on "Hip/Joint Supplements from Petsmart/Jeffers, as well as chiropractic exams at the vet each month for my 85lb "Bully" with hip issues, he was a very unhappy/sore pup. Needless to say I was going broke, as anyone who has a dog with joint issue is well aware.I had to do a lot of research to come up with a natural more affordable and healthy diet for my dog. I use this product along with a grain free fish/ potato kibble and a homemade bone broth. "Lachlan" has been on this diet for 3 months and is now able to run and play ball again (in moderation)without going lame. He is a happy boy! Do your research!

Start them off a couple weeks ahead of time, take them off when they are done. I would not use this product for them on a regular basis. This is a handy product to have for breeding an older dog, and or for use right before collecting semen for freezing.

GREEN LIPPED MUSSELS FOR JOINT RELIEF
Got these for a friends dog who joyfully ate them up and clearly moved around better after only two days, when mixed with glucosamine-chondroitin. That was the second time we tried it. The first time it took about 4 days to show signs of improvement with the Sea Mussel alone (we kept forgetting to give the glucosamine). I think I will try them myself for a few days and see how it goes. All the research says this is just about the best anti-inflammatory out there.

Game changer
The person for whom I ordered this claims it helps with shoulder and joint pain. He always seems to remember to take this, which is a sure sign that he is finding it helpful. I will probably order this again for him. This is the first bottle, and I can only relate what he says: it seems to be helping and he can tell the difference when he doesn't take it.

Wish I could order tablets
Used this succesfully on a lab/shepherd mix that had some hip problems. Just started using it with a 7 years old hound mix with arthritis in front leg. I recommend it as a first try before using prescription drug from the vet.

Work well
Seems to help my 9 YO German Shepherd who has elbow dysplasia. She takes two of these and 3000mg of chondroitin daily. 4 years ago when she started this regiment, she had an acute flare up in both of her elbows and could not walk for several days. The vet recommended green lipped muscle and she has had no more flare ups and increased mobility from that time (only minor limping after longer walks or playing). We thought we were going to have to put her down because we were worried that she'd gone lame and was not a candidate for joint surgery, luckily the pills have helped a lot. Highly recommend for anyone, any dogs , horses ect. with debilitating joint problems. It could help dramatically.
