Goat Canyon Trestle 11x17 Photograph - SD&AE - Impossible Railroad Train Trestle FRONT SIDE

This image shows the abandoned tunnel behind the trestle and the fire suppression tank on the left side on the hill.

The 11-mile Carrizo Gorge portion of the line alone took 12 years to build and included construction of 17 tunnels and 14 major wooden trestles, including the spectacular Goat Canyon Trestle, the line's main attraction.

Two hundred feet tall and 750 feet long, it's the tallest curved wooden trestle ever built in the world.

Built of huge redwood timbers, the trestle is spectacular by any perspective, and almost sacred to railroad buffs. Towering more than 200 feet in height, and spanning more than 750 feet in width, the Goat Canyon Trestle was a triumph of engineering in 1919 and remains so today.

This is an 11"x17" Color Print on Semi Gloss.
This is a photo I took myself in 2017.
Archival Quality, with a 1" white border around the whole print that I have signed and to make framing easier.
No Logo or watermark on printed photo.
