Lamonica Scungilli
I have always loved scungilli/conch ever since I was introduced to it years ago in the Bahamas via conch fritters and conch salad.. and again later when visiting Key West. Years later it became a favorite lunch at my local family Italian restaurant in the form of Scungilli, Linguini, Olive Oil and Garlic.. YUMMY !!! But sadly, due to serious over fishing.. it has become quite expensive. This can is 1/2 brine and about 2 solid cups of Scungilli slices and pieces ( not ALL slices ) It has a mild flavor and is a bit chewy which is exactly how I like it. As much as I love it I may not indulge myself again due to the price. I may have to settle for scallops or shrimp with my pasta. Bummer !

Excellent. Just like in N.Y.'s Little Italy
When I was little my dad used to buy conch in the shell and sit in the yard cracking those shells to access the flesh. Considering how hard it is to buy fresh conch today AND cook it to perfection this is THE product to use! I make a scungilli salad with it that is just delicious. I’ve added it to full blown seafood salads and have chopped it up to make chowder. It’s a staple in this Italian girl’s pantry.

Delicious
This is a very good product of canned scungilli. It is not as flavorful as fresh from the ocean. That said, this is our second order and will order again. We have made conch salad and chowder with this product. I recommend. This would be good in a seafood stew. Needs to be marinated or slow cooked to ensure tenderness.

I liked it, always have when I vacation in Cancun,Mexico area. So I was delighted I could order and have some Here in Texas where it’s not available. It was very good, and will be ordering more soon. I added it to a spaghetti Sauce. Was very delishes!

Family favorite found
Although this is canned it was a delicious treat for our New Year's dinner. Tasty, tender and just-right-chewiness when you add it to your very hot sauce just before serving. I followed a recipe for clam sauce, although most recipes call for a marinara. Would definitely recommend it and will buy again

My mom would make this with sauce, for it alot easy, then buying and cleaning. That is use I bought this brand and will be making sauce. Its great in cold salad too.

I had completely forgotten about canned scungilli until it was brought to my attention. I tried a can and loved it!!! No cooking and eating rubber. Just open and rinse and it’s ready to go. The scungilli is perfect for all uses, especially because it actually melts in your mouth tender. I use it in my seafood salad and marinara sauce along with other seafood. I highly recommend LaMonica Scungilli, that’s why I give it 5 stars!!!

Absolutely amazing! I've been craving conch salad ever since my cruise to Bahamas 2 years ago. I finally broke down and bought this to make conch salad at home. Taste nearly the exact same as I had freshly made in Bahamas! Price is a little expensive but absolutely worth it!

Scintilla is very hard to find. This product is really good but pricey. I use it in red sauce over pasta or in a scintilla salad.

This is an excellent canned scungilli product!
It was a hit with my dinner guests. It was a huge success. Because this was my first time making it, I watched some cooking demonstrations. It takes less than a minute in the red sauce when the sauce is still hot and the scungilli is finished cooking to make the scungilli very tender.
