Yummooooo!!
These are very tasty! I got these when I ran out of red anise squares I had gotten from a different vendor. I liked the way the Matlow's pictures looked and saw the good reviews, and decided to try them. They have a more intense licorice flavor than the red anise squares, kinda made me think of black twizzlers. They last a long time too! I share them with a friend at work who also likes licorice. Will be buying them again when I run out!

You don't have to be a licorice lover to love these little gems. Don't expect in-your-face licorice , do expect high quality luscious silky hard lozenges with smooth flavor reminiscent of sarsaparilla and hoarhound.

Love these little gems
the only issue is you have to hide the bag from yourself. I ate 20 of the damn things one day - so I do not recommend eating 20 in a day. If you really like strong licorice get a bag, the big bag.

Just got second bag
came fast and i have been craving licorice and THEY ARE WONDERFUL LOVE THEM!!!! they dont stick to my teeth like some do> i keep ordering them for they keep disappearing found out my friends found out where i hid them and been stealing them lol lol wonderful love them love them BEST BUY EVER!

Candies are a good size and flavor like black licorice is perfect. I haven’t noticed any black color on teeth and my husband and I really like them.

LOVE THEM WONDERFUL
These are so good. They don't splinter and cut my tongue. Not easy to chew so they last a long time. Occasional mint flavor comes through.

Lots of genuine licorice flavor

I got home from a long day at work and found the box with these wonderful candies on my doorstep..... What a lovely treat to come home to! Little hard candies with a lovely licorice taste..... And a LOT of them! The package says best by 8-2015..... I figure it'll take me that long to get through them.... Slowly sucking on one each evening after work/school...... Update... 4 years later... I bought another 5-lb bag. Best. Licorice. Ever.

Excellent candies. If you like the old smith Brothers throat drops this is the closest to what I have found. They are smooth and tasty they are hard candies that dissolve well in your mouth. They serve pretty much the same purpose that the Smith brothers had served.
