She has severe dementia and this has become a great tool to engage her
I bought these for my mother and she really loves them. She has severe dementia and this has become a great tool to engage her. She is always coming up with another arrangement. The colors are beautiful and the magnets work well enough to hold most structures together. Everybody that spends time with her enjoys working with them as well.

Tiles come apart exposing tiny magnets
These are exactly like Magna-Tiles. The only difference being Picasso Tiles are missing the metal rivets. I paid twice as much for the smaller set with half as many tiles for the other brand. I will definitely buy more and recommend Picasso Tiles. My 4 year old and 10 year old have a great time using these together. The 37pc and the new 60pc combined allow for so many new structures.

She has severe dementia and this has become a great tool to engage her
I purchased these magnet tiles a month ago for my 2-year old for Christmas. She loves to stack things, build, and knock things down so I thought this would be a great addition to our building toys. I was so surprised at what good quality these tiles are as soon as we opened the box! Contained inside are: 4 large squares 24 small squares 18 small equilateral triangles 8 right-angle triangles 6 large isosceles triangles This 60 piece set has allowed us to build a number of designs and is the perfect size for our 2-year old to play with. She has been able to easily attach the magnetic tiles to eachother to make designs and detach the tiles with ease. These have no pieces that I worry about her eating since all of the magnets are fully enclosed in the plastic shells. My family has played with these magnetic tiles daily, if not multiple times a day for the last month and they have held up well to a toddler flinging them around. They don’t seem to scratch easily or become dull in color. This set comes in a sturdy cardboard box that can be used to store the pieces easily. I understand why this toy has been nominated for so many awards. It is an excellent introduction to STEM programs and is able to teach small children about shapes, colors, and spacial concepts for building. While our towers aren’t always structurally sound, my child is learning cause and effect and problem solving skills while playing with these. As an adult, I also find myself enjoying desiging homes and buildings with these Picasso tiles. I am very happy with this purchase and plan to buy a second set in order to expand our set in the future!

Compatible with Magna-Tiles
This is seriously the best toy I've ever purchased. Someone literally plays w these every day in my home. We've had a set for a couple of years and they still get played w by at least one of my 5 kids daily. We bought more because they enjoy them so much. My kids are age 2 to 12 and each child can play w it on their own or they play together and make up pretend worlds, spaceships, kingdoms, boats, etc w them. Good fun sans electronics!!!

Great Introductory STEM Toy
These keep a 5 year old builder happy. The shapes, magnets, and simplicity of design encourage imagination and free play. While they won’t replace legos, they seem to stimulate a whole different type of creativity...instead of trying to duplicate intricate designs in solitary play, we see a lot more story-telling, collaboration, and “big idea” play...castles, spaceships, towers, pyramids...and incorporating other toys and objects. These were a favorite toy at Head Start, and we were happy to find a large set at a good price to have at home. In addition to free play, we get to work on sorting, shapes, and colors, and also talk about magnetism, polarity, and simple physics and geometry.

the best toy
If I could give these 10 stars, I would. I believe we are now up to 3 sets (over 200 pieces), and my son still manages to use them all. A few highlights... 1) Well made. We purchase our first set just at a year ago. My 4 year old has played with them multiple times a week over the past year, and they are holding up great! 2) SUCH a great learning toy. I've loved watching my son's imagination and creativity expand as he comes up with new things to build (usually some sort of space ship). We've talked about physics and structural support, and how when something falls over here says "it needs more support" 3) Easy to use and good for a variety of ages. My 1 year old likes to play with them too (although they are not recommended for under 3... we just play with her to make sure she doesn't put them in her mouth). There have been where my husband has been building with our kids, and the kids leave to do something else, and my husband just keeps building without them!! 4) Super fun. My 4 year old will spend hours building with these. They are so open ended, and the design options are endless. PLUS, because of the magnets, they are super easy to clean up! Mom win!

Little builders will love these
We purchased the 100 piece set for my son’s 4th birthday and he has been playing with it every day since!! This set and one other toy have been show stoppers. He loves to build garages and castles and houses, you name it! The pieces are colorful and the magnets stick very well. We have cracked one of the bigger squares (because it was stepped on), but other than that they have held up great! The 100 piece kit is a great set and has enough pieces to really do whatever you want with. I have since gifted the 60 piece set as even that many seems to have enough for their creative minds. Since my son loves building the 100 piece was truly the way to go. He had the Magformers in the past and loved them but this set trumped it when he realized it didn’t have holes and they were solid pieces. (This is a game changer when building garages to put cars into). The case it comes in we use as a carrying case but it is about 3 months old and may not last too much longer for that purpose as it is just carboard but if you take care of it, I could see it lasting a good amount of time as well.

A favorite toy in our house
I have two curious and very active nephews (2 and 4). I was a hit with this present. Aware that the age range is 3+ ( I'm not an unconscious auntie). The present was for my older nephew, but it turned out to be perfect for both of them. There are enough pieces in the set for the older to share because he has "lots and lots". The boys are learning about shapes and how the fit together in two dimensional and three dimensional spaces. They work together and help each other while they play. It's funny to see them build colorful towers next to their wood train sets. They stay building things and using their imagination for the time it takes to cook dinner (that's actually a lot). The little one is in awe of magnetism and how the pieces stick together. It literally makes him giggle. They are also perfect in size, weight, and easiness to clean so you can carry enough pieces in your purse to a restaurant and keep them entertained while the food arrives.

So good, we gifted a second set!
We recently got this 60 piece set for our 4 year old son. He LOVES them, and our 6 year old and 15 month old daughters love them too. They are able to build pretty tall structures and play together in harmony usually for about an hour, which around here, is unheard of. My suggestion would be to buy a bigger set. This set is really only enough for one creative kid to play with at a time. (The picture I attached with the tall tower uses almost all of the pieces, so you can see about what that looks like.) I know that sounds crazy, but when they start building, the squares disappear fast and everyone needs more squares. The grandparents ordered a 150+ set for the kids for Christmas. We are excited to get more tiles to see what they come up with!

Best toy so far.
My 6 year old daughter has been asking for magnet tiles ever since she played with some at the library. After much research, I decided to go ahead with the more affordable PicassoTiles. I was hesitant to buy from this listing at first, because it had no reviews and the other one had hundreds. However, the price was better, and because of that I ended up buying two 60-pc sets instead of a single 100-pc set (multiple reviews mentioned that two kids need more than a single small set - they were right). I opened just one box at first and they were a hit with both kids. The boxes we received seemed factory sealed, but I noticed (as another reviewer mentioned) that the tiles were somewhat scratched, I'm guessing from rubbing against each other in the package during shipping. Not pristine plastic like some toys are straight out of the box. However, that does not affect play at all, and they will ultimately become more scratched. Also worth noting is that our set has purple tiles. Someone had written that the two differences between PicassoTiles and Magna-tiles were that only PicassoTiles did not have metal corner rivets and or come in the color purple. We were pleasantly surprised because my son's favorite color is purple. We will definitely be adding more of these in the future.

She has severe dementia and this has become a great tool to engage her
I purchased this set April/2016 for my son when he is older (he was 2.5yrs old at the time). He started with piling them together, and wasn't doing much building. Then he started building cubes from single square on each side, then bigger cubes with 4 squares on each side, and he start putting his toy cars side the cube. A year rolled by, I turn around and he build a building with pointed roof using triangle shapes. I was so amazed that I asked my husband if he had help our son to build it. I should've take a photo... but this is a good toy to have around. My son's new favorite way to play is to run his monster truck over the things he build with these tiles.

Tiles come apart exposing tiny magnets
I bought the Picasso Tiles for our 15 month old granddaughter, based on her mom’s recommendation. I also purchased another 60 piece set for our 18 month old grand-nephew and a 100 piece set for our soon to be 3 year old grand-nephew. At this point, our granddaughter is a little young for the set, but she will definitely grow into it as she is very interested in the creations that her parents and grandparents make for her. At this point, she can easily takes the structures apart and likes to “deconstruct” them! The magnets in the tiles are strong, but the tiles don’t always align themselves easily. If that is the flaw of these tiles, it is something that shouldn’t stop you from purchasing them. As for their durability, that is yet to be determined. Our granddaughter can be rough on her playthings so we will see how sturdy they are once she begins playing with them herself. The tiles do allow a great deal of creativity and the colors are jewel tones that show up well.

You will see your child's growth with these tiles
The magnets in them are not nearly as strong as the actual Magnatiles brand, but these are significantly cheaper. I probably will not buy more of this brand because I want the stronger magnets, but they made a good starter set for my toddler. They seem to be pretty durable, but when compared to the higher priced brands it’s obvious that these are cheaper. For the price they are good quality, but may not withstand years of play.

A Gift of Creativity for All
My son found a set of these at the grandparents. They gifted him and my husband a set for Christmas.. they like creating complex geometric shapes and designs as well as houses, towers, etc. So when my little cousin came over and immediately started playing with these, he got a set for his birthday. Great fun for all ages, we have kids 5 and under. While it is rated for older kids, I am sure there is some risk of the plastic popping open and a little one choking on a magnet, we havent had that happen and my 1 yr old's favorite thing to do is crush whatever the other two are building. They have been thrown, stepped on, anything you can imagine and still going strong. VERY durable!

Good quality for the price
We have had this brand of tiles for going on 4 years now and they have held up amazing. My kid isn’t gentle, these tiles are turned into targets, the towers he builds are crashed into, shot down with rubber tipped arrows, knocked down with a variety of balls, they’ve been thrown across the room, stepped on, and overall put through it but not a single tile has broken open. I did have one that showed one stress line, like it may some day crack if too much pressure is put on that spot, but to be fair it was under a chair leg an adult sat on so it’s amazing it didn’t shatter or crack completely. This toy is awesome, open ended, provides hours of fun. It also makes a great gift, I’ve gifted it to a few kids with great success.

Kiddos Fave!!
I have a 4 year old and an 8 year old that love to build a variety of things with these magnetic tiles. This is the second time I’ve purchased a box of Picasso tiles. The first box was such a hit that I purchased the second so my kids could build more and have plenty to share. Their grandparents even purchased some Picasso tiles to have at their house for when my kids visit on the weekends. These are just as good as the Magna Tiles brand but at a much lower price so I always recommend these to other parents. My 8 year old is Autistic and has Developmental Coordination Disorder. These tiles are a great way for him to work with his hands and build something fun. He struggled with other building toys.

Sturdy, and fun, great value
I purchased these for my 4.5yo and 2yo children to encourage building skills. The tiles are richly colored and transparent so I suspect they would great on a light table. We've made square glasses with them. I like that they are magnetic because it makes it easier for the kids to put together. (We also have Tinker Toys and those are frustrating for my 2yo.) I took off one star because I think the magnets could be bit stronger. As they are, there is a small pinching hazard when the tiles click together, but they magnets are so weak that you can't move what you build. It collapses or disengaged. That said, weak magnets do make it easy for little hands. This has been the favorite for my orderly 4.5yo since we purchased them. She stacks and unstacks them, making "cakes". Be aware that they are plastic and can crack. We've had them dropped and hit and thrown (tempers...) and yet they've been undamaged. One cracked because it was stepped on, I think. All in all, a good buy for my family.

Absolutely love these
I have three children, ages 3, 5 and 9, and each of them loves to play with these. We’ve had them for about two months now and the interest in these hasn’t faded and despite being stepped on multiple times they haven’t broken cracked or chipped. They build the craziest structures and I love that this is something that they can all play together peacefully. Another use for them is, we have been exploring color mixing by stacking two colors together to see what they make. Highly recommend, educational and so much fun.

Beautiful tiles encourage open ended play
This is a great toy for kids, but one thing to know before you buy: unlike their competitor, the big time (pricier) brand, these tiles do not have rivets. So with rough play (even walking on them, maybe) the seams could potentially open, and the magnets could come out. Nobody wants kids (or even pets) eating magnets or getting them stuck in ears, noses, etc! But the tikes look like they will be really fun to play with, with some supervision.

Best toy I’ve ever bought for my children 3-9 years old
These are the best magnetic tiles out there! They are so worth the money. My kids have played with them from age 2 to 6. My oldest is 6. I don’t see them stopping anytime soon either. The 60 piece set is a great starter pack and can easily be added on to with other Picasso tile sets. I’ve purchased these as gifts as well. It’s usually more than I’d normally spend for a gift, but I deal because the kids love them so much! They are sturdy and I’ve never worried about them breaking. I still lightly supervise my kids while they play or I play with them, but that’s just common sense with any magnetic toy. We love these so much that we own 5-6 sets and I bet we’ll get even more. If you’re considering magnet tiles, just get these. You won’t be sorry!

Every age will love this from 2 year olds on up. Sturdy fun creative hours of fun! My toddler kids sit for hours every day and build with the set. They are so proud of each birdhouse dog house tower church sidewalks LETTERS NUMBERS. This set is durable and actually fun for adults to play with the kids. I’ve ordered more sets. Try to get at least 1 wheel base to make train or car or truck or wagon. Best toy set ever in my mind!!! The kids will play with this by themselves if you have chores to do and need them entertained.

Hours of building fun and educational
It's amazing the kind of things you can do with this product, attached is what we could do with the head base made from my just 2 years old son and myself. The plastic and the magnets are excellent and strong enough to reorder themselves, my son has pass thru them with the bike abd they are still good... He has hit them with the floor several times and they are still in one piece. Of course… it won't last if you're not around them guiding them but officially he's just 2 years old. Great inspirational and creativity motivation
My kids love these! We have a 4 year old & a 2 year old and they could play with these all day. We bought one box for Christmas and ended up buying another one because they play with them so often & having only one box didn't seem to be enough for the both of them. We have never really used the name brand ones (I don't even know what they are called) so I can't really compare the two. But these have been great. They build big towers with them all the time and they stand up well. We haven't had any problems with them not holding up like other reviews have said. These are a great buy for a great price!

Kids of all ages love these!
We absolutely love these tiles and now have 2 sets. The only thing I would consider a negative, (and it’s not really a negative) is the set doesn’t come with any moving pieces like hinges or wheels. You can buy car pieces or a ferris wheel separately but it would be fun if at least one came with the larger sets. Otherwise, we have a lot of fun building with these. They keep my 4 year old interested and have for over a year now.

Always the favorite!
My grandchildren have loved these tiles since they were able to hold and put two tiles together. My now 16-year-old grandson spent hours playing with these as a child. He passed them on to his cousins who love them as much as he did. I have added several boxes to the collection where my two youngest grandchildren have wonderful sets. These tiles are worth the investment. They add hours of fun!

Basic fun
I purchased this for some friends and for my son. After the friends opened theirs I realized one set was not enough for daily play. We ordered my son a second set and don’t regret it. I store them in a plastic bin. They are an absolute HIT. I will likely order a third set and then when my kids grow up, I’ll gift them to friends. They are fantastic and very durable and easy to clean.

Favorite Toy
The magnets are strong, the plastic is thick (we did have one crack a little but it’s holding together, I think it was stepped on directly), they hold together very well and I don’t have to worry about the magnets coming out and posing a hazard. Plus there are enough just in one set to build an acceptable amount of stuff, though we’re definitely going to pick up some more. Great product for kids - my 2, 4, and 6 year olds all love them.

Fun! But you’ll want at least two sets.
I purchased a Picasso Tiles set of magnetic building tiles about a month ago as a toy for my 8 year old grand daughter and 5 year old grandson to share when they are at my house. They get it out to build with almost every time they come to visit. They have built villages, castles, and stables for miniature figures. They sort shapes and colors and have discovered different ways to combine shapes for their constructions. I highly recommend this wonderful, creative toy.

She has severe dementia and this has become a great tool to engage her
My daughter (who’s 3) has had these for a few years now and they are still one of her favorite toys to play with daily! I love the price of these over the other name brand ones but personally I love the quality and coloring better of the Picasso! They are very very very durable! I have gotten a few more sets for her to keep adding because she keeping coming up with bigger and more complex things to build I love that this brand has so many different sets to offer! We are huge fans and it’s well worth the money.

Huge fans
I purchased these for my grandson's 4th birthday. We played with them for the first time today and he loved them. The colors are really nice and bright and the pieces are easy to attach to each other. Right out of the box, he was able to start building and sorting. There is so much potential that I know he will stay interested in these for years. He is very much into vehicles so I also purchased the set with two car bases which made this more fun for him. It is also nice that there are no small parts to cause a choking hazard for younger baby sister so she could join in and "play" too!

everybody plays with them
These are awesome. I debated between this product and Magnatiles, but went with these due to the lower price. I am very pleased! These tiles are super sturdy and have withstood a toddler who likes to build AND demolish! They stick to each other super well and are still easy for little fingers to pry apart. This set is an awesome starter set and I have already purchased more sets! I have no regrets and would highly recommend. And if you wonder appropriate ages? Well I bought for my 2 year old, who LOVES them, but have also caught my 19 year old playing with them!

Fun for all ages
I bought these because they were on sale but, I already have several sets. My grandchildren love them and are entertained for lobg oeriods of time. They are Great for all ages. Little ones can put them in their mouths with no worries, and from 3- 8 have gotten very good and creative with what they build. These is My favorite toy investment as a mom & Grandma. Wish they had them when my kids were little.

Wonderful toy!
Kids love these things, to stop the fighting we bought 2 of these used ones. They came in the original box and seem to be in great shape. Good deal if your kids don't need to have the extra plastic around the box.

Hours of fun for all ages
My first time purchasing Picasso tiles. Very pleased. So here are the pros & cons when comparing to other brands: Pros-larger color selection including teal & pink. The plastic is more clear and looks more like stained glass. It also has less decor/ design to distract the eye. It includes more large squares to build on- 6 I believe. Other brands contain 2. You can build larger projects with these. Cons- the magnets are not as strong as some other brands. I would repurchase more of these. Although I rather like mixing the different brands for variety.

good deal
My children love Picasso tiles and this was given as a gift for another 4 year old. Great for imagination/creativity. I received a message from the other child's mother stating that these have become her daughter's new favorite toy! The colors are fantastic and the magnets clip together easily with good hold. My 2 and 4 year old build with them effortlessly and love making various buildings while using their imaginations. The Picasso tiles hold their attention for a decent amount of time and are also easy to clean up, as they clip together and fit nicely in their box, which is a HUGE plus!

Great addition to my growing mag tile set
These toys are so fun. My four year old loves them. There are so many possibilities. They are incredibly durable, beyond what I expected. They withstand the way my daughter 'loves' toys, which is pretty rugged. They've been thrown and stepped on and smashed together, but nothing has broken. I already bought another set so she can build more things. Highly recommended from a teacher parent, you won't regret buying these.

Great toy - Highly Recommend!
Tiles are sturdy and well packaged within the box. The colors are vibrant and my LO was attracted instantly. There are so many different ways of play, both myself and my 2yo enjoy playing the magnetic tiles together very much. I see this can be played for a long time and I may want to buy more tiles for more complex constructs as we go beyond the simpler ones.
