Try it!
After reading some of these negative reviews I decided I needed to comment. I’ve been using this product for 16 years. In 2002 I had a gastric bypass for medical reasons. After trying many, many, MANY kinds of protein powders and shakes that are critical to my health, I found this one. Everyone’s tastes are different. That’s why they make different flavors and different brands! I encourage you to try and try again until you find one that works for you. This isn’t Baskin Robbins. It’s a protein suplement! If you found a bug in your case, it’s not the products fault yet I’m seeing one star although you drank the replacement case. If you hate the taste of protein, go to Dairy Queen! If you need a protein supplement, this one is perfect *** for me. Try it!

I am so angry
They are an excellent source of protein especially since I've gone through gastric bypass and I have a problem getting my daily protein in one of those last me through the days till I get to my nighttime meal and I still meet my protein maximum that I need for the day. 360 lbs to 139!!!! Heck ya bring on my shakes.

I ordered a case of these because I needed a low carb, high protein supplement for my diet. I didn’t have too high of expectations because I normally buy all of my health and fitness products from GNC. I was surprised at how good they tasted and how filling they are. I have health issues, so getting all the things my body needs is absolutely mandatory to me. I’m a picky snob when it comes to my nutrition and these were exactly what I needed. I have already ordered more and am excited to try the different flavors!

I like banana. Do you like banana? Do you like protein shakes? If you said yes to both of these, you'll enjoy this product. PROS: 1. Taste enough like banana. (I've also enjoyed Strawberry and Vanilla) 2. Has a great $ to Protein ratio. 3. Only 150 calories (140 are from the protein. 4 calories per 1 gram of protein I believe.) 4. Minimal shaking required (I didn't shake them really every, and there wasn't too much an issue there) 5. Not Chalky (I never recalled any chalky taste, like some other shakes. I would compare this to Muscle Milk in the sense of consistency and texture) CONS: 1. Aftertaste is usual of a protein drink (there is a long lasting odd banana taste) 2. Pop Tab feels like you're always going to break the tab before opening the drink. 3. Cannot be frozen (not sure why you would, but I left a few in the car on a really cold day, by accident—results were not good) note: When my cans froze, both the ones that did and didn't burst, I ate... frozen with a spoon. It was one of the worse experience to obtain protein I've ever been through: Grainy, dry, little flavour and unenjoyable. (I truly was expecting it to be like a frosty or slurpy... boy was I wrong)

I tried these but I think I prefer bottles or something better. These are very convenient, however, they have a slight metallic taste from the can (which I think is common for most things in cans or metal, so no big deal imo). Also, this SPRAYS a lot when I open it. Every single can I have opened has sprayed me or my surroundings. The whole point was that I wanted to take this to work, or on the go, and I was kind of embarrassed to open and drink this since it just sprays/spits on me. the flavor is fine, the value is fine. But I am realizing I am disliking canned drinks as a whole and I am preferring bottled drinks (sodas, waters, protein shakes) because they're resealable and better for travel and tend to spray less, and no slight metallic taste. If you like canned drinks and shakes, then these are for you! But if you think you already like bottled protein drinks, then stick with the bottles and pass on these.

Taste great, affordable, and is about 1:1 for protein to calories.
I switched over to Pure Protein in the cans, by the case, from Premier Protein; the Pure is not only MUCH higher in protein, it's also less expensive in vanilla. It took a couple of cans to get used to the flavor and now I can't live without them! I drink three per day so it's important that they are cost effective.

I had bariatruc RNY bypass, my surgery was 12/16/21. (Not the easy way out, so hard and painful) Before surgery and after you have to maintain a liquid diet to prepare for surgery and after to heal. I've tried several brands. The ones you make at home and the ready made. I was leary because the shakes at home are a bit hard to take for me because their chalky and never seem to mix as well as the ready made shakes. These Stawberry are really good and they aren't chalky! I do drink them ice cold, but even after they've warmed a bit they still go down pleasantly, and gives you 30g of protein per serving! I love them! My kids love them. My husband, who body builds, loves them. It's one of the few things I subscribe for so we always have them. They are a perfect grab and go meal replacement when you have to dash out the door! I do subscribe to the other strawberry shakes in the box carton. They pack better in lunches on the go because they're square shape and can be crushed down to save space in garbage. I do like some of the other flavors, but Strawberry ?? is my favorite!

Bariatric Ruin-Y Bypass surgery requires liquids with protein..
Doesn't taste as good as Ensure in my opinion. Some might think that's weird. I think I did the math though and you get more for your money with these compared to Ensure. Since I'm a total cheapa$$ value trumps flavor. I've bought these at least 3 times so I assume that's a testament to them not being nasty. I'm still waiting to start seeing a difference in my physique. I should probably start working out too. ;)

This line of Pure Protein are "shakes" in the real sense. Why they sell them in cans that can't be shaken, I'm not sure. I guess they keep better this way and they're cheaper to produce. Still, you'll want to shake it a little to mix it, then transfer the contents of a can to an empty water bottle. It's in the bottle when the shake properties will shine! Chill the bottle, then shake it up. You'll get a nice frothy head and delicious tasting, creamy protein milk. Keep in mind, I'm a little deprived, too, because I don't drink real milkshakes anymore. In other words, to me it's a great shake but to someone that drinks real sugary shakes, it may be something else entirely.

I am so angry
Absolutely the BEST protein shake in existence! I've tried them all, and 99% suffer from the same problem—unpleasant taste, even a little: chalky taste, bitter taste, chemical taste, etc. These Pure Protein ones do not. At all. The "frosty chocolate" flavor ones I get are their best flavor, and there is not one bit of an aftertaste or anything other than rich, sweet, delicious chocolate taste. Trust me on this; you'll love them! (Their Cookies & Cream ones are also very good.) The other major reason I give these a 5-star review is because they have 35g of protein, more than any other protein drink of the same size. Most 12-oz or even 16-oz protein drinks have 10, 12, 20, or 25g of protein. Not these—they're a nice 35g of protein. I have been ordering these for over 6 years, at least, and love them! You will too. They're perfect as that protein boosting drink, or you can even use them as a meal replacement.

Strawberry Shake
I'm a big fan of these shakes. I've probably bought hundreds of them by now. They taste decent, and pack a lot of protein without much sugar. Using these premade shakes is a bit more expensive than a powder, but its very convenient to take one of these on the go and not worry about leaving your shaker bottle rotting in your hot car all day.

Delicious and a great price
The flavor of this is pretty much what you would expect from a ready-to-drink protein shake. It's got that standard not quite chocolate flavor, but it's in the ballpark of chocolate. It is sweetened with Sucralose (Splenda) and Ace-K, which tastes a whole lot better than Aspartame. It does leave a slight aftertaste, but it's not disturbing. It reminds me of the Optifast meal shakes, however this product doesn't have all the necessary nutrients so it's more of a quick snack when I'm hungry instead of a meal replacement.

The reasons I recommend this product: 1) The serving size is the entire can; they don't bs you by making one can 2.5 servings or whatever. 2) Very high protein content AND very low sodium. 3) Great taste; has an extremely mild aftertaste that becomes nonexistent to you after a while. (I only buy the chocolate so I can't speak to the other flavors.) Overall, this is a great product. As a lymphedema patient, I can't imagine getting on without it. It's difficult to find something filling that has high protein for healing AND low sodium to prevent swelling. A+++

Chocolate is liked by all. But I am lil obsessed with choco flavors. The same concept goes here with the protein shake as well. I really like the taste of this protein shake and is drinking it for a month now. I am here to order it again.
