Good to order multiples for backups
Depending on which shaver base you ordered originally, these might actually be better than the blades in the head yours sold with. That was the case for me, at least, though I didn't spend a ton on the razor (I think it was like $70 a year ago--kind of an impulse purchase). I shave my head with a razor blade about three times a week, and I use the electric on the off-days to keep trimmed or if I'm in a hurry. After six months, the original blades in the head had gotten old enough that hair was getting pulled out as often as it had been getting trimmed--not fun. When this one arrived and I popped it on, though, it worked better than the razor did when it was new: not only no tugging, but the razor glides over my head like it's a floor polisher. It's worn in a bit in the months since I got it, but even worn, it's now about as good as the one the razor came with. I wish I'd ordered a second so I had it waiting in the cabinet!

Good to order multiples for backups
Works good and was easy to install but doesn't fit perfectly. There is a small gap on the side between the razor body and the razor head so it does have a little bit of movement. The weight is less than the original that I assume is due to this one being made more of plastic than metal. Reasonable price so I will probably buy again.

Works Great with R5 Pivot and Flex Razor...
Over the years, I have used electric razors manufactured by Remington, Braun, and Norelco. I have owned a Remington R-7130 electric razor since the end of 2008. I have found that the R-7130 gives me a close uniform shave which is the equal of the best that I have had. It also does this in about half the time of that of my previous razor, a rotary by Norelco of similar design. So, I can get to work a few minutes earlier, or maybe better, sleep a few minutes later. Since that time, this is only the second time that I have had to replace the cutting heads. That means that they have lasted about two years for me, although I have to admit that they were getting really run-down in the past month. Now Remington has simplified the design for the replacement heads. The new heads go in from the backside, when the razor is opened. They work just as well as the old type. My only complaint is that the plastic protective top no longer fits on the razor. The total cost over the life of an electric razor must include that of replacement cutting heads. At under $25, these replacements are equal to or lower than the prices of replacement heads for other razors. The instruction booklet suggested replacing the heads every twelve months. I have used the old ones for twice that time. It remains to be seen how long this new model lasts, but so far I am happy with them.

New Design, Fast and Clean Shave
It actually fit my razor and works really well! But a story here..I was in Washington State taking care of a family matter and forgot my Remington shaver. However I found my Dad's old shaver which was most recently used in 1987 or so...It got the job done.Unbelievable it would still work! Hats off to Remington and think about how many straight edge shavers you would go through in 30 years or so, yet the Remington keeps cutting even after YEARS of service...GO REMINGTON!!!!!i

I purchased this for a friend who wants to continue using an older model Remington Razor, but it needed a new head. This head was recommended for his model razor, and it works perfectly. He is very happy with it.

Cuts tight and clean
this replacement does not mimic the old one it replaces. there are a few differences mentioned by other posters. first noticeable one is that the individual razor disks cannot be separately taken out from the top of the unit. it has to be flipped open to remove the disks from the underside. once reaching the underside, there is a carriage that needs to be turned counterclockwise to "unlock" the carriage and free each individual razor disk. this is a complete head unit replacement. warning: never shake the head unit while still connected to the base. the hinge is fragile and i broke one of mine. simply pull the head unit free before shaking the trimmings.

REPLACEMENT HEAD FOR SHAVER
First time i buy. Original i used for 3 years eventhough i recently found out they recommend replacement twice a year. With new blades its the best shave!!

Shaver head was needed to fix second shaver
Remington Replacement head works very well. I replace the blades or the head on my electric razor once per year, as I use the electric to shave daily during the week. This replacement head fit perfect. The old one snaps off, and in literally 30 seconds, you have the new head installed. This head fit perfect on my razor. It now shaves like new again. Very happy with this product.
