Like many others that fell into the trap I was on Vacation in Redondo Beach CA and came upon a Whole Foods market, filled up a container at hot food bar and was looking for something refreshing to drink on a hot summer day so I grabbed a can of the orange and the rest is history. Wife told me to take it easy after drinking four cans of this stuff in one day. Now everywhere I go I have my eyes open for this stuff. Be careful !

Real Fruit Concentrate makes a difference.
Living in Arizona, I'm very familiar with what Prickly Pear tastes like. I expected this to be a flavorful mix of what prickly pear tastes like, and what prickly pear fruit tastes like. Despite the fruit being on the can, this beverage tastes pretty much entirely like the prickly pear cactus itself (nopales) and not like the fruit, or like orange juice in any way. It's still pretty good. And it's nice that this 24-pack was 2 12-packs that slide easily into the fridge. But I was hoping for a more refreshing drink, and instead it definitely has the alkaline, harsher flavor of prickly pear pad, not prickly pear fruit.

I'm always on the look out for "off the beaten path" soft drinks -- unusual flavors, especially, or a different taste combo. I tried this Clementine flavor based on a couple of recommendations from friends. Wow! This stuff is great! It's not *too* sweet, and it doesn't have that weird metallic taste I get sometimes from artificial flavors. The flavor in this is all natural, with 17% juice (a combination of Mandarin, Orange, and Clementine juices). It does have 140 calories per can, though, so if you're watching calories or sugar intake, this might be a problem. I figure it's all good in moderation -- a can of this after dinner or with lunch isn't going to kill me. The flavor really is superior. I love it!

Fantastic but maybe not if you aren't use to the hint of muskiness in prickly pear

My housemate CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THEM.
I'm not sure why this flavor isn't easily found in stores. My husband kept going on and on about this flavor he tried at some restaurant. I decided to check online and lo and behold here it was. My husband was very excited when this arrived. The flavor is very tart with a hint of mint. I personally am not a fan but my husband loves this flavor. I would recommend this to anyone who likes tart, minty drinks. This might even be a good mixer with some liquor!
