Life changing
Buying the stoma guard was the best thing that could have happened to me, I've been struggling so much with everything from Clothing, to sleeping, to sitting, to being around my pets or children. If I knew the difference the stoma guard was going to make, I would have no doubt bought it since day one of getting my stoma. I can now wear close my size instead of oversized clothing, my seat belt no longer bothers me. I finally have full nights of sleep because I can sleep on my belly again. It made having a stoma so much easier. It bothers me that I didn't get it sooner.

Life changing
AWESOME! ! ! ! ! ! what more can i say, I took a chance on this product wasn't sure how well it would work especially when you consider the price range of this type of product usually around the $100+ range and given that old saying..."you get what you pay for" I was a little hesitant...but very happy i went with the "STOMADOME" it is very low profile yet VERY protective nobody can tell its even there fits nicely under almost any clothing and is very sturdy, attaches via velcro easy to use and remove, and gaurds the area from the seat belts in the car which can be a painful problem as the seat belts go right across that area...I highly recommend this product!!!

Pretty overpriced for what you get...
I wasn’t sure if I should get this at first, but after reading reviews I decided to. It’s totally worth the money!! I mainly purchased it because I wanted some protection from my seat belt, because the strap goes right over my stoma. It also gives me a lot of peace of mind when I play with the kids or pets. The only thing I don’t love is that it sticks out, and so it’s noticeable in some tight fitting clothes. It’s easy to take on and off though. I also like that the bottom of it is open so my stoma can drain into my pouching system properly even when I’m wearing compression underwear. It comes with a ton of Velcro, I’m only changing my pouch once or twice a week so I know that the Velcro strips will last me a long time. I’ve used it on both Hollister and Coloplast pouches and it works great on both.

AWESOME!!! best stoma shield on the market...
I've been using the stomadome for about 9 months now and it has made a huge difference for me. I think I had one minor leak during that time. I now change my appliance because it's time rather than because I'm having problems. It's super easy to apply, I just attach the adhesive strip to the pouch before I put it on, and then attach the dome once I have the pouch in place. That's the good news, there are some problems with the dome. It is somewhat bulky, as you might expect. That aspect of things doesn't bother me but I could see where it might be a concern for some. It doesn't stay in place all that well, since it's just attached to the pouch it moves around some. Sometimes the fabric cover of the pouch will tear, which then requires changing the pouch or re-attaching with a new adhesive strip. But these drawbacks are really minor to me compared to the improved reliability the product has brought me. Some might prefer a belt system, I haven't tried one but I would think it would provide the same benefit.

Protects my stoma and gives me so much peace of mind!
I wish I had known about this product nine months ago when I had my procedure! For so long I was fearful of bumping into my stoma. I would cover that area with a folded towel when I had to put my seat belt on. I couldn't sleep well on that side. It has been a game changer!! I am no longer fearful of hitting that area and don't have to use a towel with my seat belt. The Velcro holds extremely well until I want to take it off. Don't be fearful of paying the price for this product, it is well worth it! You do have to allow for the extra space in your dress/casual pants.

Works well for me
I got a job as a dog bather and bought the Stoma Dome to protect me from jumping dogs. I do find that the Stoma Dome moves around a lot if you are not wearing tight fitted clothing to go over it and keep it in place. I wear very tight leggings and a tight tank top to work so they keep it in place. I use convatec and found the the velco adhesive doesn't stick very well to the fabric lining of the bag. To rectify this i had to cut off the lining and stick the velcro to the actual plastic bag. Also with a convatec bag the velcro goes right over the filter. I simply cut the velco that went over the filter off and now it works just fine. The Stoma Dome is very discreet and with a baggy shirt no one knows I am wearing it. I love how comfortable it is. I forget I even have it on half the time. It's great for women because we don't have to deal with belts that don't stay in play since we are curvy and belts tend to inch up relatively quickly. I think this is a great product and I am so glad I found it!

Game changer!!
If you ever feel the need to protect your stoma from hits, bumps, or bangs then you need the product! I wear mine 24/7 cuz I share my home with many creatures that love to jump or lay on me and being a new ostomate, I fear the inevitable bag pop and leak. This calms those feelings and give me the peace of mind that my stoma (above all else) is safe. Tips on coloring it:. Sharpies work best. Other permanent markers either wiped off too easily or bled over the lines. I created a template on paper, drew the design, taped it in place and went back over the lines with the sharpie. The sharpie bled through the paper just enough to transfer faint lines of the design. If you mess up, you can literally scratch it off. You can also scratch out places as part of the design (see the word "factory" on mine as an example). Because it does scratch off, I sprayed a clear coat of Krylon to seal it. This too can scratch off, but it's much more difficult. Sanding might help the durability of the artwork, but I actually like that I have the ability to redecorate it if need be!

Great little guard!
Bought it for my dad who was uncomfortable with wearing a seatbelt in the car, or wearing pants with belts; He also had minor bleeding. Since using this, he feels really comfortable, can wear a seat belt, pants with belts, and his bleeding also stopped, great product.

I have cats that like to step all over me and this is a life saver! It does add a bit of a visible bump but well worth not having a paw shoved down your stoma! I've had two surgeries - the first resulted in a rather large stoma to the point it would hang out and droop down. If yours is like this then this will be too small and I'd recommend commissioning somebody with Fusion 360 (Computer Generated Design program) to build you one that fits you better because there are no better alternatives out there.

Life changing
This is by far the best Stoma Protector in it's class. The price is right and Velcro refills are inexpensive also. Unless you are into some very strenuous sports this is the protector for you. Not Clunky and no belt to contend with. It stays in place all day.

Ostomy Must Have
I recently bought this because I lost a larger, bulkier, version of a Stoma shield. I needed something that would protect me when doing physical activities and getting a massage. This product fit my colostomy bag perfectly and provided the needed support and protection. I would highly recommend it over more expensive solutions.

Vital part of ostomy supplies for peace of mind
This is a great idea for a product. The only thing that would make it better would be to make it a little bigger. I little wider and a little longer, or even a selection of sizes. It covers the stoma well but when dressed the flow is still constricted. The half inch in height is great but should be a little longer and wider (for myself). it is a supper idea and is a great fix for very loose fitting clothes but for dress clothes or work clothes it should be a little larger.

Works Great!
I have had a permanent ileostomy for a year and a half subsequent to surgery for colon cancer. I have struggled to find a product that would help keep my ostomy bag from sticking to my stoma and plugging up when wearing jeans or a seat belt or doing any kind of sports activities. StomaDome works! It is easy to use with any ostomy product. It is lightweight and discrete under your clothing, is re-usable and easy to clean. This product has helped me be able to enjoy sports activities that I did before my ileostomy. I am back hiking, cross country skiing, and swimming without having ‘accidents’. StomaDome extends the time I have between ostomy changes as it prevents pancaking and thus leaking. Riding in the car with a seat belt on is no longer an issue. Having an ostomy is no picnic, but having this product has been a ‘game changer’ for me. Thank you to the makers of StomaDome.

This item is a great idea.
The protection the stoma guard offers gives me peace of mind and feel more secure with it. It attaches easily and securely. Price of the unit is fair, considering it should last a few years. The unit comes with a set of curved Velcro adhesive strips. Once used up will have to order more of the strips at approx.. $25 for a count of 50. I feel this price is a bit high, that $15 would be more fair.

Peace Of Mind
The StomaDome has allowed me to wear pants that I otherwise would not be able to wear. Previously, these pants felt too tight over my stoma, but now, with the StomaDome covering my stoma, I feel comfortable wearing these pants. Also, the StomaDome allows me to feel more as ease during intimate moments, now that I know my stoma is protected.

Best Stoma Cover!!!
This has been perfect for my husband. He is very active and does custom iron work for a living. This little thing gives him security knowing his stoma won't get hit or take a random spark from the welder. Anything to ease his mind before his reversal surgery is well worth the money. So glad we found it!

I feel comfortable wearing these pants
My husband has been very pleased with this product. He feels very protected with it. He puts it on and forgets it until is time to change his pouch. It is unobtrusive, works well with car seatbelts and allows him to sleep better because he can now sleep on either side without feeling he is blocking his stoma.
