Black Summer Truffles (Tuber Aestivum) are usually only available from June to August. However, our preservation process extends the life of the truffle by as much as 18 months, allowing you to enjoy the incredible taste of truffle at any time of year. What does it taste like The truffle is firm to the bite, followed by a rich & earthy Black Truffle flavor. How should I use it Use straight from the jar to add depth to any dish. We recommend beating into risotto, stirring into gravy or garnishing meat. Suitability Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Kosher (KLBD), Nut Free   Recipe Suggestion: Real Truffle Gravy Luxurious enough for your next dinner party, comforting enough for your next family meal. Expect a gravy that's thick, rich & bursting with aromatic black truffle. Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 30 minutes Ingredients One glass of red wine 33 Oz of meat or vegetable stock One heaped teaspoon of TruffleHunter's Minced Black Truffle One tablespoon of high quality gravy granules 1 Oz of cold butter Method Step 1: Apply heat to saucepan (or roasting tray). Pour in the glass of red wine and reduce it by two thirds. Poor in your stock and reduce again by two thirds. The sauce will begin to thicken. Step 2: Add the tablespoon of gravy granules and remove from the heat, the rich gravy should now coat the back of a spoon. Step 3: For richness, vigorously stir the cold butter into the gravy until melted. Fold in the heaped teaspoon of TruffleHunters Minced Black Truffle. Step 4: Pour over everything.
