Solid Shredders!
I bought these after looking at a lot of different Shredding claws. The Original Bear Paws looked to be the best. It only took me one use to realize that they are. They are very solid in construction and very comfortable to hold while shredding. When I first received these, my wife thought they were gimmicky and questioned my purchase. I let her try them on a pulled pork and she didn't want to give them back! The claws are solid with no indentations or spaces for food to get caught in. This also helps with longevity as they are not prone to bending as I've seen with others. The only open spaces on these are in the handle, which does not get much contact with the food and I have not found any issue with food getting stuck in them. They made very quick work of shredding my pork butt and I can imagine they will do the same with other meats. I would have to say that I am very happy that I purchased these, I would definitely recommend them to others, and I look forward to using them many more meats in the future. ***UPDATE*** I have now had these for two years and they are still just as good as new without a single issue! I'm still very satisfied with this purchase.

A great set of shredders for the price
I did my due diligence on meat shredders before buying these, I noticed a number of knock offs that were running with the simple design principle but resorting to either cheaper products, or "enhancements" that were questionable about how useful they were. I have doing a lot of pulled meat dishes lately, and the twin salad fork approach just took way too much time and effort for me to tolerate anymore, after using these I mentally kick myself for having wasted so much time and effort doing it the hard way. They tear into a roast with simple efficiency, I stab, twist, pull and the meat just comes right off. A scissoring motion with both paws will then serve to make the big shredded chunks into smaller shredded chunks and how fine the shred winds up being is up to you, but the motion itself is simple and efficient. I even use these now to lift roasts off whatever cooking device I'm using and right onto the board for a quick shredding.

These are pretty darn incredible!
I was hesitant to buy these. I have always just used forms to shred my pulled pork and other BBQ. I can always use my forks... At $12, would these be a waste of money? NOPE! Completely NOT a waste of money! These work SO much better than forks. Because they have 6 tines per hand, that's like 33% more tines than a fork. (12 versus 8). Also, they're wider and sharp. WAY sharper than a fork, and widen Away from the tip, so it makes shredding very easy. It cut shredding time in half, at least, and it was much more thorough. I definitely recommend and am glad I bought these! (Also glad I didn't get distracted by metal tines on other claws. While metal claws could be "stronger," they don't widen like a cone, they're still flat. Because these are 3D, they separate the meat in 2 directions. Better than forks! Worth it, I wouldn't get the cheap $5 ones. You buy quality and what Bear Claws have made!)

Effective design, simple, and good price
Works well with shredding, especially larger portions of meat, such a pork. Plastic appears to be of higher quality. Sufficient room in opening for most finger and hand sizes. Also noted is sufficient pointed tips at end of product that would not cause injury, unless careless. These points are needed to get the job started efficiently. Highly recommend use of quality protective gloves for this task. You are dealing with not only the mess of shredding itself but likely food item also has elevated temprature. WAY BETTER THAN FORKS!
I've heard some opinions of items like these that only serve one purpose in the kitchen being bad, but I think these claws are so much nicer than trying to tear apart a pork shoulder with a couple of forks. They seem pretty durable, but even with them being made of a tough nylon the tips will undoubtedly begin to bend and lose some of their sharpness. For the price though, I still prefer the surface area you gain over forks. They also really help transferring mead from the smoker or oven to a resting surface. Would definitely buy again when my current pair needs replacing.

Highly recommend use of quality protective gloves for this task
Excellent item. It was more than I expected. The claw part was sharper and cut easier with the meat. It made shredding the meat much easier than before which made it worth the item. Also the handles are great for my smaller hands but also great for my husband’s bigger hands. Cleaning is super easy. I rinse under the water right after I use it. And then was with a sponge. I have put it on the top rack of dishwasher and it’s a-okay! I also put the setting of “drying” and “sterilize” on my dishwasher which means heat. And the claw did great with the heat from the dishwasher and also the heat of the meat. I would recommend this product to my family and friends!! One suggestion: I do think the claw part is super sharp. I have a young child at home. I would consider this as sharp to be put in our knife drawer. I would no let a young child use this item. Please be safe while using this item and keep it out of reach of small kiddos.

Ordered June 2022 - Excessively SHARP and STRONG! I haven't touched plastic this thick and strong in years! - As a woman I have fairly large hands; these claws are large enough for my hands to use comfortably. - PLEASE don't let small children use these as costume - they look cool BUT dangerous as a knife (NO not calling anyone stupid, but if I was a kid making a Halloween Wolverine costume these would seem perfect). - Please trust I am NOT a forgiving consumer, if there is anything wrong with a product I WILL tell it! I can't find ANY flaws with these claws. Excellent product that will last decades.

I want to now buy this for my Dad and brother’s who also like to shred their meat!
We’ve been on a shredded chicken breast kick and were using table forks to do the shredding. It was a miserable task and we dreaded it but prefer the taste of shredded chicken over other cooking methods. I saw these in a newsfeed article on inexpensive things that will save you time. It seemed too good to be true but after quickly shredding 4 chicken breasts we have to say it definitely saves a lot of time and effort. I think they are actually intended for larger cuts of meat like roasts so are kind of bulky but worked really well on the chicken breasts. Life changing.

Solid Shredders!
These work wonderfully! I originally purchased them because I was cooking for a group of 100+ on a trip. We made about 40lbs of shredded chicken thighs. Having made the same meal about a year prior, and spending a couple of hours shredding chicken with 2 kitchen forks, we knew there had to be an easier way! Using these shredding claws, we shredded 40lbs of thighs in about 45 minutes. There were 2 of us & we kept swapping put, because shredding still hurts your back/shoulders. But these claws are so sharp & useful that it took less than half the time! I've since used them to make shredded pork at home & they also work wonderfully for that!

Significantly reduces the effort required for shredding!
I had rather high hopes, but fair expectations for these shredders. I must say they do not disappoint. I ripped through a half pound of roasted chicken breast in about three minutes. This is the first time I’ve ever used them and as I worked, I discovered that if you come to a piece of tough meat or gristle, do not force the cutting. But take your time and just be steady and patient. Otherwise you will dull the teeth. Don’t just throw them in the sink either after you’re done. Rinse them and put them aside until you’re ready to wash them. And then, be careful. You can get hurt. Treat them like fine cutlery. Remember, don’t force your way through the shredding and store them so they can’t get damaged. You’ll be very happy with these. I know I am.

Truly make QUICK WORK OF SLICING/SHREDDING MEAT
Okay, I got these thinking, “Maybe it will work better than two kitchen forks to shred my pulled pork recipe?”’oh my goodness these things are the BOMB!! I will be ordering another set because they are absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to do my pulled chicken tacos with these things! You gotta get these if you do pulled pork, shredded beef, or shredded chicken tacos! Easy peasy, and extremely effective! But sharp!! Not for the kiddos to handle! Excellent product! Thank you!!

Better than I expected
At the beginning of the year I had a big family party and I asked my sister to help shred a pork roast. She asked where my meat shredders were. I vaguely recalled seeing something like these but hadn't ever thought about getting them. She told me she loved hers and uses them all the time but then I forgot about them. A few months went by and I was going to be shredding a couple of roasts later in the week and remembered that so I ordered these. They make the shredding easier and seem to be great quality to me. Nothing to complain about here.

These are great
My passion is cooking! If we can wrangle up company I'm ready to wrangle a special meal! My purchase was inspired specifically by the last time I cooked a perfect juicy fall off the bone 20 lb turkey.. I went to carefully lift it (with oven mitts) cradling it like a baby that pooped gold nuggets, to lift it over gently to the serving platter. All was going well until the juices began flowing through the mitts, through the long sleeves I was wearing and into the front of my shirt as I strove valiantly to make it the last eight inches! Then the support leg simply fell off in my mitt.. The whole turkey, gorgeous golden toasted skinned turkey unceremoniously spun upside wrong and made a sick splatting noise on the top of the stove on a front burner where it began to disintegrate from the stress of re-entry. Turkey parts, stuffing and the rapid peeling off of steaming hot clothing and snug hand mitts.. Things were said. Fortunately we were able to pretend that it was our plan all along to carve the carcass, part out the large parts on a platter reserved for the gluttons while excusing myself to walk half naked shirtless to wash and change as the meat was arrange to its best advantage. But NO MORE! I have used these to slide gracefully and to good outcome under an entire 18lb prime rib and move it to the platter without mishap. If you are looking for a great seller who provides a great product and a real service to humanity and possibly could save humanity from themselves...I highly recommend them.

Channel your inner bear
The Bear Paws make the task of shredding chicken absolutely amazing! I like to cook up an entire family pack of chicken breasts and then shred them to use for many different dishes throughout the week. These make the task fun and so quick that you're left standing and wondering why you never bought these before. I have only used them on chicken, however, I plan to use them with other meats as well. These are fantastic!

AWESOME DUCKS!!!
I got these claws because I enjoy pulled pork and pulled chicken, but I always found forks didn't work well, and I usually ended up using my fingers. These claws shredded the meat very quickly and easily. I also tried using them for lifting hot chicken breasts from a crockpot. That didn't work so well, mainly because the tender chicken fell apart. I think that might work better with a larger cut of meat such as a pork shoulder. All in all, I'm pleased with this purchase.

Bear Paws To Save Time
I was a little concerned about ordering this item because some of the bad reviews, however I saw that there were many more good than bad reviews, so I placed my order. I received the Bear Paws Shredder Claws the next day and I had a Boston Butt that I need to shred (pull). I was amazed at how well the claws worked. they were much faster than using forks and much easier on my hands. I was able to shred the butt in a short time and didn't have any problems with burning my hands as I do with forks. The claws were easy to hand wash and I had no problems with the tips of the claws bending, as some reviewers have posted. If you shred any type of meat I highly recommend that you invest in a set of these claws.
