Handle: Features the original "wheat" hand-carving. Note the small stress crack in the wood near the lower horn and the vintage white paint splatter on the top edge.

Blade: Shows a dark, authentic patina with surface oxidation. The teeth are in good, usable shape for their age.

Hardware: All five brass-toned nuts are original and secure the handle tightly to the blade.
