Very tasty pickle plums
These pickle plums have a tangy touch which is the best part about them. These are properly blended with spices and each and every ingredient could be felt in every bite. The best part I like about these pickle plums is that I can eat them with almost every dish and even alone. I’d just suggest y’all keep it in the refrigerator.

These Are The Best Pickled Plums I Have Tasted So Far
These are the best quality pickled plums I have tasted so far. These were fresh and in good condition. The presence of olive oil has made the taste even better. I personally love the amazing blend of these spices and herbs, which have given a different spicy, salty taste to it. The plums have a great taste as well. With refrigeration, these will last pretty long.

These Pickled Plums Have An Amazing Flavour
These pickled plums from Welpac are just the most amazing ones I have tasted. The can was new and the condition was fresh. The plums are real tasty and had soaked in the flavour pretty well. The perfect blend of sweetness and spiciness is what I loved a lot. The herbs have been very well added as well. It makes my fooding experience a lot better and amazing!

Awesome Umeboshi: Very salty, squishy pickled plums with pits!
I love this product. Picked plums, or umeboshi, are a Japanese staple. I am a Hapa (or Hafu, half-Japanese -half American) and grew up with these little gems served with rice or in onigiri, rice balls. You really can't eat them alone as the Japanese REALLY know how to pickle. They are SALTY, but not like American pickles. These babies will make you pucker like crazy! They also are not crispy like pickles because they are plums, and plums, when cooked or processed, are squishy. Also, being plums, they have pits. But that's okay, half the fun of umeboshi is cracking the pit open with your teeth to get the "meat" out of the center! It's pickled too! So, here is what you are getting: very salty, squishy pickled plums with pits. They are pink. But that's okay. It's not poison, it's natural food coloring (#40) added to make it prettier. The Japanese are professionals at making food pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. No MSG unfortunately. I love MSG, it's a natural food seasoning made with fish & kelp to trigger the Umami tastebuds. A Big Mac has more harmful chemicals than MOST Japanese foods! Why do you think the Japanese are the longest living, healthiest civilization? MSG, food coloring, raw fish, washed rice and seaweed! That's why! Anyway... Here in the states it is hard to find the smaller sized umeboshi. I like them small, it is easier to serve and they look better in a bento box. This plastic jar holds a lot if them and is very easy to store, not taking up much space at all. The price was great and the shipping was pretty fast! Overall, this is an awesome product if you like EXTREMELY SALTY unique things to eat with your rice. I do and will be reordering when I run out! Itadakimasu!

Awesome Umeboshi: Very salty, squishy pickled plums with pits!
I've always seen these in animes so I thought I'll give it a shot... it's very salty but good at the same time, especially with rice! Usually one is good enough for a meal. I wouldn't mind buying these again in the future.

Love these
I grew up eating rice balls with "sour" plums in the middle and it was a real treat when my mom made them. As kids, we'd crack open the hard shell to eat the pickled seed inside as well. All the kids in our family will sneak a sour plum when no one is watching. We also eat it as a condiment with other pickled vegetables and hot rice. Also, when I'm not feeling well, I make a soupy gruel of white rice and eat a sour plum with it. It's a comfort food in my house. In terms of quality, Welpac sour plums in a jar are considered the best in our family and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find. I'm happy to find it on-line.

It must be an acquired taste
In Japan, I used to love pickled plum onigiri rice balls. Now, I can have them in the US with these plums.

Yummy
this is a very good product if you like pickled plums. Sadly it is such a small size, only 8oz. I used to buy it in a oriental grocery store, but it isn't available anymore through them. When I could get it, it was a 22oz jar for 1/2 of what the now 8oz size bottle is.

Great in Chinese Duck Sauce
Che As per the title I have a hard time getting good Asian ingredients where I live, These I use when I make onigiri and they really put the final punch in them, definitely recommend based on taste and price

Hawaii no ka oiu
Lacks a bit of the sweeter plum flavour and depth of really expensive umeboshi, but it's great for onigiri, or just for a sour treat! The price is right for what you get.

Cheapest way to get good umeboshi in my area
Has pits and there was nothing on the label about it. Otherwise great purchase.

but it's great for onigiri
Just what I expected. And it reminded me of my visit with my Japanese friends.

It's great except the pits.
Taste good. Reminded me when I use to have them with rice balls a long time ago at my grandfathers house.
