Best Chili Kit but Order from the photos
I'm from Texas, moved to California and can't get Wick Fowler locally so I ordered this. It's the best chili kit, in my opinion, on the market. I've got dozens of chili recipes but I think this kit is just as good as the chili cookoff winners. The reason I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I ordered the 2 Alarm from the description and received False Alarm so I'd suggest ordering from the photo instead of the description. I didn't return it because the only difference is a packet of cayenne pepper and I can add my own to taste. If you get the wrong one, either add your own cayenne (1/2 to 1 tsp) to the False Alarm or don't add the cayenne (red pepper) if you get the 2 Alarm and wanted False Alarm.

Best Chili Kit but Order from the photos
Best packaged chili fix'ns I've come across, and I've tried many. I add a can of Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, a small can of tomato paste (basil, garlic and oregano), a small can of 'hot' diced jalapenos (Ortega), and half a Rotel can of water, after browning the beef (chilli grind if you can find it!) I generally use 85/15 beef, but I don't drain it. The fat adds flavor! I don't add beans, but occasionally add refried beans to thicken, otherwise I use the masa flour that comes with the kit. Fowler has dropped salt as part of the kit, so you will need to add to taste. I've cooked this treat on stove top, and in an instant pot. Gotta say, the instant pot pressure cooker infuses the flavors more deeply into the chilli, but a low simmer works fine if you can't accommodate. I highly recommend this kit. I use all the fix'ns that come with it, my additions are optional; if you don't like it 'hot', reduce or eliminate the extra jalapenos! Bien apetito!

Authentic Texas Chili
I'm a lousy cook, and whenever I try to make something from scratch, it never tastes all that great. I found this chili mix many years ago, and have used it ever since. It comes with pre-measured packets of various seasonings, but you can decide how much of each one you want to use based on your tastes. All you have to provide are the meat and tomato sauce. I like to use the Roitel spicy tomato sauce, and then I add pinto beans with jalapeños to make it taste even better. I guess the only negative I have is, I like chili that is really hot, and this isn't spicy enough for my tastes. However, most people can't take really hot seasonings in their food, so it's probably going to be fine for just about everyone. If you're like me and want to prepare a great-tasting chili with a minimum of effort, try this. I highly recommend it.

Best chili fix'ns kit I've come accross!
This is my favorite chili, and I’ve been buying it for years. I don’t follow the package instructions. For one thing, I buy a chuck roast and cut 2 lbs of it into little cubes. And, I sauté fresh onions and just keep the little onion package in the cabinet for times when dry onion is called for. I don’t use tomato sauce. Instead, I add a large can of chopped or whole tomatoes with juices. And, I usually skip the mesa flour as well, preferring to reduce the sauce to my preferred thickness. If the chili tastes a little harsh from the large can of tomatoes, I add a teaspoon or two of sugar. To me, this is the perfect chili.

Makes a Great-Tasting Chili
The best chili mix available, bar none. I buy it by the case and have never received anything but rave reviews. It's the perfect starting point for traditional Texas Red chili. Get some and then make it your own by adding your own special ingredients.

My favorite chili
These are the best chili kits I've ever had. My father has been using these kits my entire life and refuses to use any other brand. If you want to make some chili but don't feel up to doing it all from scratch? Then buy one of these kits and you won't be sorry! Also, you can adjust the kit from 0 Alarm, 1 Alarm or 2 Alarm by adjusting how much pepper goes into the chili. The box tells you the amount to add depending on your individual tastes. But 2 alarm is perfect in my mind!

Best Chili Kit!!!
Wick Fowler's Two Alarm chili mix is great. It comes with packets of all the dry ingredients that are needed. I use tomato juice in lieu of water and also add Rotel. Works perfect for me. They have left out the salt packet from the latest packages but, that's okay for me.

The best of the instant taco mixes
This chilli seasoning kit is the best in flavor as long as you don't add the masa. I add Hunts diced fire roasted canned tomatoes,Hunts tomato sauce, chopped onions cooked with the hamburger and hunts spicy chilli beans. This is my go to chilli seasoning kit.

This is my favorite Chili Kit. It contains just about every spice you'll need to make great Chili. It is missing one key ingredient that was included but is not anymore. There is no salt in the kit. Zero, none. You have to add it to your pot yourself. I would have given it five stars if it still contained salt.

Really tasty chili!
I’ll join the chorus of people that love this. A coworker told me about this chili kit a decade ago and it’s been my go-to ever since. Recently my store was out and I had to use another brand. Was reminded why I love this so much. It’s nice that each spice is individually packaged, so you can adjust to your preferences. I leave the corn meal out to make my chili lower carb. The only downside of ordering here is that it’s an order of eight boxes, so it’s a bit much to keep on hand. It does last a few years though.

Texas tradition, excellent flavors
Wick Fowler's 2 alarm chili,... is my favorite chili mix,...I've tried quite a few,...but "this one wins",... over all !!!!! If you don't like it too hot/spicy,...just leave out some, or all, of the red pepper. Me???..I like it just the way it comes,....it's somewhat "hot" but not too much,...in my opinion, it's "Just right" ENJOY ;-)

I have used this product for a long time — full blast. I enhance the recipe by adding a bottle of beer and one or two cans of Rotel. Folks look forward to my bringing this chili to a party.

Makes Excellent Chili
I like to use this product because it’s got great space and it doesn’t have added sugar or MSG. I tend to make taco meat and keep it in the refrigerator for my children to eat as a late night snack. I get this in bulk at about half the price as what I pay in my local grocery store. That way I always have some on hand and can whip up a batch of taco meat quickly.

Our family makes tacos once a week and we always use Wick Fowler's. In the past I used other brands and found them to be pretty interchangeable, so I didn't have any preference for any brand. One time I saw this in the store (while we lived in Dallas) and decided to try it because I like the Wick Fowler chili seasoning. I didn't say anything about it because it's just taco seasoning, but that night my wife said those were the best tacos I've ever made. I agreed with her that they just tasted better and since then I've only used other seasonings if we couldn't get Wick Fowler's. Is it better than making your own taco seasoning from scratch? Maybe not, if you're an expert. But if you're shopping for taco seasoning then you probably shouldn't be a snob about buying taco seasoning. You should just buy this and enjoy some great, easy-to-make taco meat.
